Chapter 887

The maid hid the phone underneath a plant and Ashlynn happened upon the sight of the maidhiding it away, so she used the maid's phone to call Anne..

Ashlynn returned to bed and her phone on the nightstand started ringing.

She picked it up and saw Corentin’s name on it. “Hello?”

"What are you doing?”

“In my room. I am not doing anything.”

“I'm not coming home for dinner. Don’t wait up,” he said.

Ashlynn never would have waited for him, nor did she care about when he returned. If possible, shewould much prefer that he remained gone, but she knew that it was impossible.

"Okay," she said.

At night, Ashlynn had dinner on her own and took her dog back into the room afterward.

Corentin did not arrive home until nine.

He was in a room drinking when he received a phone call, he was slightly taken by surprise when hesaw the display on his phone and immediately got up to answer the call. © Miss me?”

“Are you out with another woman? If you have another woman, let me go,” Ashlynn said.

"Jealous already?” He chuckled endearingly, “I will tell the driver to send you over. Let me show yousomething.”

He returned into the room and sat down.

Paul Holt, a bald man, asked, “Are you busy with something, Corentin?”

Another man, Owen Curtis, said, “Why are you working here? You, go sit next to Corentin.”

A woman stood up and flounced her way toward Corentin.

“You little wh*re. Must have been dying to get closer to Corentin, huh?” Owen spat and the othersburst into laughter.

The woman took her seat next to Corentin, but he immediately said, “Go away. You are not neededhere.”

"What's wrong, Corentin? Are you in a bad mood?” Paul asked.

“I know what's going on. He must have satisfied himself elsewhere! Hahaha!"

“My wife is coming here later,” Corentin said with a cigarette between his lips. “Behave.”

"When did you get married, Corentin ? I know. It's that woman, Meredith. She just can't wait to bewith you, huh? “Owen grinned.

Paul, on the other hand, stopped smiling and observed Corentin’s expression. “Could it be...Ashlynn?”

It was only normal that he made such a guess, as they had only known one wife to Corentin, andthat was Ashlynn.

The room instantly fell into silence as everyone appeared offended.

They all knew that Ashlynn was the reason why Salvatore was arrested and as Salvatore’s gang, theywere arrested as well and were not freed until two years ago.

They all resented Ashlynn and had a thousand ways to torture her in their mind.

“Yeah,” Corentin said.

“I don't understand. You can have anyone you want, so why her? Have you forgotten how shealmost got you killed?” Owen could not contain his temper.

“That's right. She trapped us!” The others agreed.

“You ran into her by accident?” Paul asked.

“I ran into her in Luton. The eldest son of the Lloyd Family lives there and I went there to have alook,” Corentin simply said, “it's better to keep her next to me than to let her roam free.”

“You should kill her, Corentin!” Owen said, “If you can't do it, we can do it for you!"

"Are you done?” Corentin questioned darkly.

The others instantly quieted down.
