Promised To The Alpha Twins -
Chapter 81
“I don’t think he heard a word you said, brother,” Liam chuckled under his breath; his dark eyes framed by onyx lashes. Ethan halted his assault on my neck and even let out a soft laugh at my expression of frustration. I wished we never had to leave this place. I wanted to spend my days learning everything I could about Liam and Ethan; their likes and fears, their gestures and most intimate thoughts. And our nights would be used to explore each other physically. But, as always, life continued its relentless course.
“Mm, I don’t like the sound of that,” I murmured as my toes skimmed the smooth surface of the pool, floating and keeping my head above water. Wrapped in Liam’s arms, I felt Ethan shift behind me. “I think we should get back to what we were doing. I’m sure it would be amazing.”
“Don’t worry, we’ll pick that up after our conversation,” Liam said with a smile, tapping the tip of my nose with a wet finger. But as quickly as his smile had appeared, it vanished even faster. I swallowed hard, hating it when the twins got serious. It seemed like there were too many serious things lately. “We’ve waited quite a while to have this conversation.”
“The last thing we want to do is pressure you or rush you, and we didn’t want it to happen like this, but there are certain things that need to be done before the High Council meeting,” Ethan murmured behind me, his hands resting on my waist with a firm grip that kept me from wobbling on the tips of my toes, holding my head firmly above the water’s surface. “Believe us, we hate being forced into things. You deserve all the time in the world to figure out what you want. This world is still very new to you, and you need to fully understand what’s expected,” he continued, his voice warm and reassuring.
“Being intimate is just the first step in completing the mate bond. Our scents intertwine and basically inform all the single wolves that we’re mated,” Liam added, taking over from his brother as if they were a single entity, as they used to do.
“Marking is the final stage. Usually, only the two mates are involved, which makes things a bit different this time.”
“Marking?” I remembered something Aly had mentioned. “What does that exactly involve?” I hadn’t asked Aly to explain it to me, and now I regretted not doing so. The twins were clearly nervous about addressing this topic, which made me even more determined to reassure them. They knew I was in this, but my lack of experience in this world seemed to be worrying them.
“We would both bite you, usually on the neck. The wound wouldn’t be lethal and would heal into a unique mark for each individual. Then you would do the same to us, leaving your own mark,” Ethan intervened, sliding his fingers along my neck. When he reached a particular spot, I felt a surge of pleasure run down my spine, causing my legs to slightly weaken. His voice spoke again, deeply seductive and husky.
“This would be the place where I would mark you, where the whole world would see who you belong to,” Ethan said in a deep voice as his fingers caressed my neck in a gentle gesture.
“Would I have to bite both of you as well?” I asked, a mix of nervousness and curiosity in my voice. Though a part of me was a bit scared, my own curiosity outweighed any fear. I was a werewolf, like it or not, and these were the traditions that were meant for me. I couldn’t run from my nature forever.
“The world already knows they’re yours, darling,” Liam interjected with a soft laugh as he tenderly brushed hair away from my face. “But yes, in response to your question, everyone would know. His eyes were warm and gentle, and the moonlight highlighted the color nuances in his eyes.
“I don’t understand why both of you were so concerned about telling me this,” I said with a soft laugh. “I want to join you in every way possible.”
“We were concerned because there’s more to the mark than we’ve told you. It solidifies the bond between us, darling. If you were to leave us or something happened to you, we wouldn’t last long either,” Ethan murmured in a low tone, something unusual for him. Ethan had always been the more reserved of the two, hiding his emotions and thoughts behind his deep, dark eyes. But here he was, showing me his vulnerability in a way he rarely did.
“You could link directly with our minds, not only feeling our emotions but also experiencing yours,” Liam continued. The idea was a bit overwhelming, but it also gave me a deep sense of connection. I knew for certain that my life would never be the same without the twins. Though I wouldn’t physically die without them at this moment, an essential part of me would wither away if I ever lost them. It made sense; both of them had a piece of my soul, one that I had been losing for so long. Why would I want to live a life where they weren’t present, missing them with every fractured fragment of my being? It wasn’t a life I was interested in living.
“So, the tides will have turned,” I said with a smile. “Now you’ll be able to hear what I’m feeling instead of the other way around, and read my thoughts when I allow it.”
“I’m eager to see what’s in that adorable mind of yours,” Liam replied with a smile, sliding his thumb over my lower l*p. Instinctively, my tongue moved and brushed against his finger, enjoying the reaction it elicited from him. His eyes darkened, and his expression shifted as if a switch had been flipped.
“I want to know what’s going through both of your minds,” I replied with a playful smile. “All those secret thoughts are there for me to see.” “Nothing will be hidden from you, darling,” Ethan chuckled softly, his fingers tracing a slow path along my spine. I felt his tension against my rear, and a wave of pleasure shot through me, making my breasts grow heavy. I pushed against him, feeling his hardened member, and a deep growl escaped his lips by my ear.
“But will you be able to deal with sharing your secrets with us? All those naughty thoughts of yours will be there for us to see,” Ethan continued in a teasing tone.
“Doesn’t sound too bad,” I managed to stutter, my heart racing in my chest.
“We’re getting off topic, brother,” Liam chided Ethan, though there was very little animosity in his words.
“You’re right, as always,” Ethan grumbled, but made no attempt to move away from me.
“We want you to mark us, darling, but not without you knowing perfectly well what you’re getting into,” Liam continued with a small smile on his face. “We’ll mark you tomorrow night, as there’s a high chance you might pass out. It won’t be very painful, but the emotions can be overwhelming, as we’ve heard. We figure two marks will mean twice the sensation.”
There was a time when pain would have frightened me, but that time had passed. I’ve experienced so much pain at the hands of Dub and Lia, both physical and emotional. This kind of pain, for the twins, was worth it. I would endure everything for them without ever losing the smile from my face.
“For the two of you, I can handle it,” I told them softly, letting my sincerity flow into my voice. “I know what I’m getting into, and I’m already too far in to stop now. My life would never be the same without the two of you. I’d never be happy, I’d be forever restless and miserable. I’m tired of being unhappy. If being with the two of you means accepting danger and responsibility, then I’m here for it all.”
Relief and happiness shone in their eyes and resonated in my own heart.
“Call Gea, darling. She’ll know what to do and will assist you with the rest,” Ethan whispered in my ear, gently pushing me toward Liam. Following his advice, I contacted Gea and felt her immediate response. A sense of relief and excitement washed over me. I knew I was in good hands, and she would know how to guide the process. She was willing to mark and bond, sealing our connection and paving the way for a future together.
I still didn’t feel ready to welcome the new pup into the family, but I was sure that I would get used to it over time. I was aware of where I needed to bite to establish our connection.
Gea, with her excited yet barely contained voice, shared her suggestion. A small gesture, something harmless.
Liam averted his gaze as he approached me. Placing my hands on his shoulders, I held him firmly in the water. His skin had a subtle hint of chlorine, but his characteristic spicy scent predominated. His fingers gripped my arms tightly, and I sensed the movement of his Adam’s apple as he nervously swallowed.
My lips traced gentle paths over his skin, seeking the perfect spot for my mark. Following Gea’s advice, I knew exactly where to bite without causing discomfort. At the point where his neck and shoulder merged, I longed to leave my imprint.
The reaction was minimal until my teeth finally sank into his skin, releasing a rush of warm b***d into my mouth. The taste wasn’t exactly pleasant, but this time it was different. It was Liam’s b***d, and I felt as if I had connected to an electrical circuit.
A gasp escaped Liam’s lips, and his arms encircled me, pulling me against his chest. In that moment, I understood; I was the missing piece inside me, fitting perfectly. The lost part of my being had found its home.
Until now, picking up on others’ emotions had been like being an eavesdropper in a private conversation. But this was entirely different. The connection wasn’t one-sided; it was an open channel, a conscious bond between Liam and me.
Knowing when it was enough, I withdrew my fangs from his skin, savoring the drops of b***d on his pale complexion. The wound began to heal, revealing the beginnings of what would become my mark on his skin.
Liam was right, the experience was overwhelming. Even without the final mark, my thoughts were dominated by images of my mates. The need to touch them, feel them, allow them to fill and use me, was almost suffocating. Love, passion, longing, intimacy… all vied for control in my mind until the desire to caress the twins was nearly uncontrollable. My fingers trembled and my heart raced, while sweat beaded on my back.
I was swiftly turned around and found myself met with Ethan’s eager eyes. His excitement was palpable, barely contained. He longed for his turn, to be claimed and marked by her mate.
“This is how we generate these sensations in you,” Liam chuckled darkly, gently pushing my hair away from my neck and letting his teeth scrape against my soft skin. His voice had changed, taking on a dark and carnal undertone.
“We make you feel nervous and heated up. It must be unbearable,” Ethan murmured. “Mark my body, darling. Let everyone know that we’re yours.” His words came as Liam tore the lower part of my swimsuit away, and a finger entered my soaked rear entrance.
Liam and I, both immersed in our connection, longed for Ethan’s inclusion. “Damn, he’s so tense,” Liam muttered to himself, his dark hair tangled at his neck and forehead. When his eyes met his brother’s, they were dark, charged with an almost feral l**t. “Mark him, so he can join us.” It was easier said than done, I struggled to maintain control through the haze of pleasure clouding my mind.
The lower part of my swimsuit was thrown out of the pool with a soft splash as it landed on the concrete. My body tensed as Liam’s thumb caressed the sensitive nerves between my legs, and, unable to help it, my head tilted back as I let out a m**n.
Ethan held my h**s, keeping me in position as his brother pressed his member against my entrance. There were no hesitations as Liam slid his entire length inside me, stretching me to the point of almost causing pain. That twinge was followed by the incredible sensation of being filled, dominated by one of the two men I loved.
Liam pushed us against the pool wall, trapping me between the two of them. It was Ethan who kept me upright as Liam began to move, thrusting with passion. I wanted them both, feeling them filling me to the brim. I craved that carnal closeness. After all, humans were animal creatures, and werewolves… well, we were even more instinctual than others.
My fangs instinctively lengthened as they sought the perfect spot on Ethan’s neck. Ethan’s reaction wasn’t as physical as his brothers’, but even powerful Ethan finally succumbed to the intense emotional tide flooding his being. I was no longer a covert intruder in his emotions, an uninvited observer. Now, we were all united, closer than ever.
When my teeth penetrated Ethan’s skin, his head tossed back, and his lips parted. There was something exquisite about seeing two strong men crumbling and revealing their vulnerability under my dominion. Their emotions flowed more intensely within me, and I could feel him regaining himself.
“I love you, Ethan,” I conveyed through our thoughts, along the link that bound us all. “I love you deeply. Both of you.”
