REBORN UNDER THE FULL MOON -
Chapter 42: Unspoken Truth and Hidden Paths
"You need to tell her. when she replaces out she is going to hate you," Merida said to Aria.
"I can't tell her. she will be heart broken and I don't think she is ready to face such shocking facts yet," Aria said in a hushed voice.
"She won't forgive you if she replaces out later. All the sisters have told you and I will tell you again. This is a bad idea especially at this time when the balance of the world is hanging by a thread. Do you understand what I am trying to say? You can scatter everything you've worked hard for with little moments like this." Merida responded.
"Well, I will deal with that by myself. For now, I just need you to help me out with keeping Lyra safe until she fully masters her abilities. She has started having dreams. It is bound to happen anytime soon." Aria looked at Merida who nodded and walked out while Aria took a deep breath.
"Queen mother for once please let me be right and everyone else wrong. I can't bring myself to tell her everything that is going on and I feel very guilty about it but I am trying to protect her," Aria whispered with tears in her eyes. LYRA'S POV
"What do you mean? I am not in love with anyone and certainly not Kyle," I laughed while Merida raised a brow.
"Hmm, I believe you." Merida said in a way that told me that she didn't believe me at all.
"Alright, maybe I have a little crush on him but that's all there is," I shrugged.
"Now, that's you being truthful to yourself," Merida said as she bit into the apple.
"Why do I feel that is not really apple but something else that is under a glamour spell to make it look like an apple," I said.
"Very smart girl, but we are not going to change the topic. We are going to do something else now. So, I am told that the queen mother's sisters have been appearing to you," Merida smiled at me.
"Yes, they have been saying weird things to me and how can you help me with that because it's all very weird." I looked at her.
"Hmm, let's say I used to be a sister and I can understand my sisters very well," Merida smiled.
"You were a sister? Of the queen mother!" I said with wide eyes.
"Mhmm," She nodded.
"So, why did you stop?" I asked.
"I wanted a normal life and I traded something for it," Merida shrugged and turned around walking into the library.
The shrug told me in way that she was done with the conversation.
"Look around the library any book that calls out your name, walk towards it and raise your hand and it will come to you." Merida said to me.
"Okay," I nodded as I looked around the library admiring how beautiful it looked and it's many books of knowledge that was very colorful.
"I like your library, it's so colorful." I smiled at Merida.
"Wow, that's new. No one has ever said that it was colorful. In my own opinion it is full of nature. Many books with different shades of green and the shelves look like branches," she smiled.
I looked at her in a very confused many.
"It's different for everyone. For you to say that the library is colorful that means it appeared to you in that way. Many people that are not meant to be here do not see anything. The library is hidden to them. It appears to people it chooses and it appears differently to them," Merida explained to me.
"Oh, alright I..."
"Lyra," My name was whispered interrupting what I was saying to Merida as I looked around trying to see where my name was being called from.
"Lyra," I was called again this time it was closer and I felt like the voice was familiar.
I tried to tell where it was coming from but I couldn't so I decided to stand still.
I stood at the middle of the library and closed my eyes, then I took deep breathes and raised my hands.
"Lyra," I heard the whisper again.
"Come to me," I whispered and I heard a breezy sound as the place filled up with great energy.
Something, or should I say someone tugged on my dress and I opened my eyes to see that I was back a moonlit pack before the tragedy happened. I walked through the pack greeting everyone but they looked at me strangely. Like I wasn't part of them, like there was something bad within me.
"Who are you? A stern voice asked.
I turned around and I recognized the face. I threw my hands around her.
"Mother, I missed you," I said with tears in my eyes.
"Young lady you have got it all wrong. You aren't my daughter. I have a son, not a daughter," The woman said to me.
"What mom, don't you recognize me?" I asked then I realized that my face was different, I was reincarnated.
"I would advise you to leave out pack now dear," She smiled at me.
"Okay, I..."
"Lyra," my name was whispered again.
I turned around and noticed I was faced with the woods. Whatever was calling my name was inside the woods.
I started walking towards the woods.
"I wouldn't go in there if I were you, no one has every come out alive after entering the woods," I heard someone say and I turned around to see one of the lady's that always appeared to me.
"I need to go in there, something is calling out to me," I said.
"Okay dear but be careful. Follow your heart. if it doesn't feel safe call on the sisters of the queen mother. For now, I will leave you to pursue your destiny." She smiled then she walked towards me, kissed my forehead and she vanished.
