Chapter 88: The Rite of Rebirth

The scribe virgins started moving around and chanting. The scribe virgin then came forward and used a knife to cut my hand and my forehead. As their chants got louder blood continued to rush out of the cuts. My head started to feel lighter and I became very dizzy but I can never forget what I felt as I saw all the images of my past life and the present one I am in fuse together.

I started to notice everything Zeus did.

I became present in each and every memory starting with when Zeus married my mother, I saw how she threaten her to keep her baby away from him. I noticed the constant dark circles around her eyes and I saw how she managed to smile at me even when her eyes looked haunted.

She was in pain and I felt sadness rush through me as I continued to watch how Zeus mistreated my mother. I saw her constant tears and all the time she hid her tears when I walked it.

I saw how Zeus treated me and only one question went through my head.

How on earth did I think this man loved me? Even when he smiled at me, I could see a look of mockery and disdain.

I was truly in my world and I didn't recognize anything, I was lost and looking at this front my own point of view. I didn't see the general picture.

Then I saw when Ryker attack our pack, I saw him and my mother's interactions and I realized that I didn't know anything about their story, then I saw when my mother died and grief gripped me again. I looked on and I watched as Ryker carried her body crying as he dug her grave and buried her.

I always thought my mother's body was burnt up, turns out that it was buried by her one true love and I walked towards Zeus supposed dead body and as I looked closer, I saw that the burnt body didn't resemble his at all, this body was skinner and Zeus was muscular.

I was taken to my last battle with Ryker and then when I woke up in the hospital in with Aria and suddenly I felt like crying all over again because I missed her but then I remembered the betrayal. I saw when I first met Kyle, and how he tried to train me and all our meetings and how he saved me from the poaters, the way he can feel our connection and my heart felt tight and I started sobbing, I remembered how I and Aria visited Merida for the first time and how we became close friends. I remembered my time with the spirits and Lacienda and Alexis and I smiled.

"Ahh!" I screamed as a very sharp coursed through my body and I started jerking involuntarily.

"Stop! Stop now, she will die!" I heard grand nan scream as she moved towards me to warm my hands.

"We cannot stop, her blood has not connected in the circuit. If we stop now she is not going to be reborn," they said.

"But she would die if you continue with the process," Grand nan said.

"You will guide her back. She is meant to die and be reborn for the process to be complete," the scribe virgins said.

"What? I was never told this! she could end up in another world or worse she may replace someone else and end up in another body," Grand nan gasped.

"Yes, that is a possibility,' the scribe virgins said.

"We need to stop this now!" grand nan made a move towards me but she halted because of the words that came out from their mouths.

"If you touch her, she will die," they said to her.

"What?" grand nan said as she started sobbing.

Soon I started floating and I saw grand nan crying on the floor and I wanted to comfort her but I was in a very intense pain and all I wanted to was close my eyes and never come back.

I move towards the void as I continued to float but then I noticed that I was suspended on the air and something was pulling me back. I looked down and I found it was my mother and grand nan.

"Let me go, I said looking down at them.

"No," mother spoke first.

"We cannot let you go. You still need to avenge your mother," grand nan said.

"What? I have done that already, I killed Ryker although with all I have seen I think he was not the one that killed you. But I am exhausted now. I feel like everything is drowning me and I want to just sleep for eternity. Please let me go," I said as I lost all my will to come back.

"No, I cannot let you die," my mother said to me.

"Why?" I asked.

"Because Zeus killed me," My mother said as she stared at me.

"What?" I questioned.

"Yes, Zeus planned to have me killed and I knew about it but I didn't do anything about it and I am sorry. I was selfish. I wanted to die. I was tired, I didn't want to live anymore and I cannot allow you to do that to yourself. I know I should have told you more about your biological father but I think you will replace out about everything later. For now, all I need to tell you is that you are way more needed her and you need to come back.

The intense pain you are feeling is your rebirth. You are free from anything hindering you now and I am going to bless against the fates will.
