Kiefer P.O.V

“I’m going to miss you… mom, dad and you too max. I love you guys.” Brella said as she hugs her parents and brother. “I promise I’ll call as soon as I arrived.”

“Ok Hun, be sure to take care of yourself and those kids. Kiefer we want you to know that this is not a one sided thing and it isn’t easy to take care of one kid let alone two. Be there to help Brella whenever and look after them. We’re leaving our daughter and grand babies in your care.”

“Yes I promise I’ll do just that and so much more.” I said as I hugged them both.

“Excuse me sir the vehicles are all packed and ready to go.” The driver said.

Nodding my head at him I turned to Brella. “Shall we?” I ask.

Smiling she nods her head. Saying our last goodbye we got into the car and left.

8 hour later.

“Ugh Kiefer I’m so bored…Are we there yet? We’ve been driving for hours.” My mate complains as she adjusted her seat belt.

“We have next 30 minutes to arrive.” I reply looking at the road sign.

Her eyes widen in shock. “That’s so long I’m getting so bored its killing me slowly. This drive is lame.” She pouted.

I rolled my eyes at her. “Why don’t you stop complaining and make it interesting then.” I suggested. I watched her as her face crunch up thinking.

“Oh I got it, why don’t you tell me about your pack.” She said. I raised a brow at her and she g*****d. “Since I’m going to become Luna, don’t you think I should know something about your pack?” I smiled at her. “Well first of it’s a huge pack we have like over a thousand pack members. Some are old, young and our age.” Her eyes widen. “We run by a daily routine of training, recreations and pack meeting.” I continue telling her more about my pack and it delighted me that she’s showing interest in the pack she will soon become Luna. I know that everyone will accept her and love her as Luna. She is a very head strong wolf and I love her for that… “What are you looking for?” I ask as I notice her searching her backpack.

“I’m looking for something to eat.” She paused looking up at me. “All that talks about the food earlier made me hungry. Oh I hope mom put something in here for me.” She said as she continues checking through her backpack.

“Didn’t you eat something a while back?” I question.

Ignoring my question my mate pulled out a small plastic bowl. “Yes, you got to love my mom. She always knows what to pack in my bag for me.” She exclaim. Taking off the lid she sniffed the bowl and m****d. “Mmmmm chocolate chips cookies my favorite. Want some? She asks looking at me.

“Sure.” I nod my head. I do smell good.

“Well you can’t have any.” She said smirking

“Why not?” I ask frowning.

“Because,” She paused, thinking. “I not only have to eat for myself, but also for two.” She held up two fingers.

I shake my head. “That’s just an excuse.” She laughed taking out a round cookie. “It doesn’t matter Kiefer you can’t get my cookies.” She said waving one in my face playfully. “Do you see it, do you want it hmm?” she sang teasingly at me.

I roll my eyes at her. This is so childish. “You do know I could easily take that cookie from out your hand. You won’t even miss it.”

She laughed as if it’s impossible for me to do that. “Yea right Kiefer. I’ll like to see y- …” I quickly swipe the cookie from her hand and put it in my mouth before she could finish her sentence. She gasps. “That’s not fair I wasn’t ready.” She complains.

I grinned, my mouth stuff with the cookie inside. “That just goes to shows you should have just shared it in the first place and never challenge an Alpha.”

“Yea well, I hope you enjoy that cookie because it’s the last you will get.” She said pouting as she glares at me.

“Really?” I raised a brow inching closer to her.

“Yes really.” She said as she scooted away a little.

“We’ll see about that.” I said. I felt my wolf partially take over as lean towards her trying to take the bowl from her. Gasping she leaned backwards, moving the bowl of cookie out of my reach. I smirked as I hover over her trying to take the bowl out her hand. My mate has a really good grip, no matter how much I pulled the bowl she remain latch onto it.

“Excuse me but we’ve arrive.”

Moving away from my mate I turned to the driver that spoke. His face has this amusing look on it but he said nothing. I nod my head at him and he got out the car, my guess he’s gone to take our luggage out. “We should get out the car now.” I said. Nodding her head my mate quickly compose herself, I then helped her out the car.

“Wow,” Brella said taking in deeps breaths. “Your land, it’s huge. Not to mention beautiful.” She said her eyes scanning the out stretch of the pack perimeters and the beautiful grasses and trees. “Yeah it is, come on let’s head inside. We have a dinner party to attend in a few.”

Stopping in her tracks Brella turned around to me a questioning look on her face. “A party?” she asks. “Why didn’t you tell me about this? Am I going to meet everyone there?”

“I’m sorry it slipped my mind. You won’t meet everyone, just a couple of people from the pack” I explain.

“You should have told me this earlier.” She sighed. “I have nothing to wear.”

“Not to worry dear, I’ve brought you a lovely dress it’s in the guess room.” My mom who suddenly appears out of nowhere said. She smiled showing off her little dimples on her rosy cheeks as her eyes sparkle in delight. My mom has never looked more excited, even with the wind blowing her hair all over.

“Thank you, but you didn’t have too.”

“Nonsense,” My mom waved her hand dismissing what Brella said. “Your family now, it’s what I do. Now come let me help you get ready.” She said taking Brella hand and leading her inside. I could still hear my mom voice chatting up a storm as she led my mate deep inside the house.

“Mothers,” A familiar voice said behind me.

“Tell me about.” I said turning around to face my best friend Brian, I know his voice anywhere. “Nice of you to pop up out of nowhere, where have you been?” folding my arm I stared at him. A grin broke onto his face as he stared me back also. “I swear if you talk to me like that again and give me that look. I’m going to have to call your mom from now on.’ He laughed.

“Well if that’s the case I should also pick out your clothes to wear. How does pink poke a dot shirt sound to you?”

“On second thought I rather stick to your regular name.”

Resting my hand on his shoulder I smiled. “Good boy.” Giving each other some brotherly punches we laughed a little. “How’s everything, has there been any recent activities or development?” I ask my face serious. Brian has been in charge to look out for any treats against the pack, he also helped me take care of Jax. It’s only natural for me to ask about the safety of our pack.

“There hasn’t been anything since I last reported to you. We’ve dispose of Jax’s remains. There hasn’t been any signs of rouges or hunters but nevertheless we have guards station at each end of the territory.”

“That’s good, you really out did yourself.” I said nodding my head impress. “I’m grateful for what you have done.” I said with sincerity.

“Don’t mention it man it’s all in a day’s work of your soon to be Beta. Plus I’m your best friend man.” Brian said resting his hand on my shoulder, causing me to grin. “So that’s her huh?” I nod my head knowing it was my mate he was asking about. “Nice, I like her.”

My wolf growled at his comment.

Backing away Brian raises his hands in defense. “Don’t take it the wrong way, when I say I like her. I mean I like her for you and that she seems nice.” He explains.

“Oh… I knew that.” I shrugged my shoulder.

“Right,” Brian rolled his eyes. “You keep telling your wolf that.” He smirked. Growling I pulled him into a head lock giving him a knuckle rub. We stared messing around until my mom came out with a not so impress look on her face. “What are you boys doing? You’re supposed to be getting ready.” She said tapping her right foot. “Kiefer, Brian stops playing around and go get dress people will start to arrive soon. Now go!” she order.

“I’m happy to introduce the pack to my son’s mate your soon to be Luna.” My Dad said as the noise in the crowd subsided. “Everyone please welcome Brella Blake from the silver woods pack.” My dad gesture toward my mate who steadily walked towards him, I couldn’t take my eyes off of her. She looked stunning in her black dress my mom brought for her it highlighted her skin, her hair fall so softly around her face in waves. I could hear my wolf howling at the sight of our mate, he wanted to take her. Her eyes caught my and she smiled relief washed over her face as she made her way over to my side.

“You looked gorgeous.” I whisper to her as soon as she stood close enough to me. Blushing she jug me in my side a little. “You don’t look so bad either.” She said her eyes scanned over me. I decided to wear a light baby blue shirt and dark pans to go alone with it. The sound of laughing and clapping reach our ears and we turned to see everyone was clapping and chuckling at us. It dawn on me that they must have heard our little exchange.

“Aren’t they just perfect?” My dad asked. This got everyone going, clapping louder and making wolf whistles. “Ok now everyone please calm down I have another announcement to make.” His voice rang over the loud laughers. Soon everyone became silence, taking my mom hand in his. He addressed the pack. “First of I’m very happy that my son have found his mate and even more happy to know that they’re expecting.” He motions towards us. Everyone clapped for a while until my dad raise his hand for silence. “Second it gives my wife and I great honor to serve this pack as your Alpha and Luna. Our days and been serve and it gives my wife and I great pleasure to hand this pack over to my son Kiefer as your new Alpha and his mate Brella your Luna.”

Everyone began clapping, turning toward me and my dad shake my hand. I felt the over whelming power of Alpha b***d rushed through my vain. Suddenly I feel connected to everyone in the pack more strongly than before. Looking over to my mate I saw my mom did the same as my dad and kissed Brella on the cheeks. Her eyes open wide and I know she must be feeling the same thing as me. I squeezed her hand letting her know its ok. Looking on to my pack I smiled. “I’m honor to become your Alpha of this pack. I promise to walk in my father’s footsteps to protect and take care of this pack and along with my mate” I squeezed Brella hand. “And your new Beta.” I motion to Brian, “We’ll do just that.” I finish.
