Chapter Three: The truth

"Please just get checked out" Ben states making me nod in surrender, Iwill never win this fight; not while injured anyway.

"How is it possible, I never knew my mum was a true were" I stateconfused.

"We can take a blood test to confirm, but I think your mum cheatedwith the warrior to make a true were because they both are,” Benreplies.

"I hate the pain I am in from Matthew" I cry out, falling to my knees aspain radiates throughout my body.

"I'm going to pick you up and carry you in" Ben comments beforescooping me up into his arms; I let out a roaring scream as he readjustsmy leg making him start apologising over and over again.

"Ben, is this her" I see a tall woman smile as she approaches us.

"yes, this is her, can you please fix any injuries she may have and run atest to see if she is a true were please. also do you know a way to eitherwake her mate up or fully kill him to stop her being in pain like she is"Ben rambles making me want to slap him. If wasn't a rouge I would,but it is rude to slap anyone in a pack if you are a rouge, so I need tobehave, or it will get me killed for sure. At the moment I don't want todie, well I do, and I don't; I'm confused about what I want.

"of course Ben lay her on the bed and run along to the alpha he hasbeen requesting you" I look up at ben as he lays me down to see himrolling his eyes at her comment about the alpha, how rude can he be."sorry about ben, I'm Carol, the pack doctor" she smiles while gentlytending to my leg.

"thank you for being gentle” I smile sadly.

"it's okay, I can see the pain on your face, and no one should be inpain," Carol speaks before drawing my blood.

"I will be right back; I just need to get this tested, what pack are youfrom so that I can call the pack doctor and discuss the rejection” shesmiles sadly.

"um, well, my mum is the pack doctor” I scratch my neck sadly.

"oh dear, yes ben did tell me though the link about your mother, whatis the name of the pack hun" she smiles sadly making me groan.

"river falls pack” I state trying to hold back tears.

"thank you; I will be right back” she smiles before rushing off. I checkmy surroundings before getting up.

"human rest, I want to know the information" summer growls makingme growl back.

"don't you dare growl at me girl, do you want to die or not? Because ifyou do you will let me get out now while the coast is clear” I state intomy mind making summer whine.

I head straight towards the door looking at the floor the whole time,not wanting to be too confident when I leave.

"where do you think you are going" a powerful voice booms behindme.

"and you must be the alpha” I whimper turning around to see a six-foot-five hunk of a man towering over me

"I did come to meet the woman my pack has been talking about and tokeep you company since Ben told me you were injured, but here youare running away but why? is my pack not good enough for you? is themedical care you are receiving not good enough for you, a rouge," hegrowls.

"you really want to know alpha boy, this is my first day as a rouge, so itdoesn't even count, the medical care would be fine for someone whowants to be fixed, now my leg will heal, and the other rouges won't seeme as an easy target, and I don't see you lining up to end my stupidlife, so don't be all high and mighty with me, you may be an alpha butyour not mine, I am no threat to your members I even saved one when Icould have left her to die, so don't you dare lecture me" I growl backtwice as loud making both Ben and Carol rush into the room.

"Hazyn stands down; she is a true alpha; the test just came backpositive; she has been through a lot and will be short-tempered. Pleasejust let it go for now" carol speaks softly trying to keep her alpha calm."How can you guys talk to an alpha like that, we would be backhandedif we did so, a beta I can understand but a pack doctor.

"We are like a family so we can” carol speaks calmly.

"now sweetie I talked to your mother about your mate" carol startsmaking me glare; he doesn't deserve to be called my mate.

"ex-mate” i state

"ex-mate, they are taking him off life support since you are a true were,which she was very excited about. the only problem is you need to goback to the pack so he can wake up, they won't make you stay, but if hedoesn't wake up, he can't die either so you will be in pain” she speakscalmly making me want to rip her throat out.

"We can come with you, I'm sure the gemma can take care of the packfor the day” ben speaks up.

"who said I was going” hazyn smirks making ben hit him.

"Because I said so, you still need to replace your mate mister, and shecould be there” Ben smirks back, I watch carefully as hazyn goes silent."told you I wouldn't replace her but if it makes you feel better I will, carolcall back and tell them the alpha-beta and Erika will be there by day falltomorrow, and get Erika crushes will you" he storms out of the roommaking me look at everyone in disbelief.
