Morris had just left the villa. Trusting his sense of direction, he walked cautiously along the secluded main road.
As Hugh's search team drove into the area, they spotted Morris walking on the road from a distance.
Morris also noticed the familiar vehicle immediately and stopped in his tracks, waiting for it to approach.
The moment the car stopped, Hugh hurriedly opened the door and got out. Emotionally sensitive, he broke into loud sobs. "Mr. Chivers, I finally found you! Let me check-are you okay? injured?"
As he spoke, he circled around Morris, inspecting him from head to toe. After wiping the tears from his face, he exclaimed with relief, "Thank goodness! You're fine-everything's fine. You just need a shave. "Good thing I'm smart-I brought a razor and a clean set of clothes for you in the car. You have no idea how worried we all
were.
"Steven and Leo split up to look for you in different directions. We'll need to call them later to let them know.
"Oh, and Mrs. Chivers-she's the one who's been the most worried. She's been working with Crow in the lab at GlobalVision Group. I have no idea how they're holding up."
Before he could continue rambling through his tears, Morris, unable to bear it any longer, shot him a disdainful look and briskly got into the car. Hugh paused in confusion, sniffled, and hurried to follow.

After meeting with Rayburn, Rita stopped by the Hawkins residence to pick something up. Now, she was on her way back to the villa on the outskirts of the city.
For some reason, ever since leaving the Hawkins residence, she'd felt deeply unsettled-an odd, unprecedented feeling.
She wondered if it was her age catching up to her, her body starting to decline, or if Rayburn's cold indifference had left her shaken.
She shook her head and rubbed her temples, trying to relax. Midway through the drive, a call came in from the villa staff to Rita's attendant, who was seated in the front passenger seat.
The attendant froze upon hearing the news. Taking a moment to calm herself, she turned slowly to look at Rita, who was resting with her eyes closed in the back seat.
Fully aware of Rita's tendencies, she remained cautious despite the urgency. Raising her voice slightly, she said, "Ms. Hawkins, Ms. Hawkins, something terrible has happened!" Rita opened her eyes, clearly displeased. "What is it? Why the dramatics?"
The attendant said quickly, "The villa staff called. They said Ms. Muller isn't doing well. An ambulance just took her to the hospital."
Rita's
eyes
widened in shock, her gaze fixed straight ahead. Her voice turned cold and detached. "What about Morris?"
"They... they said he left," the attendant stammered nervously, fear evident in her voice.
Rita's eyes
widened further. Her hands clenched into fists, and the veins in her neck stood out sharply. Her long nails dug into her palms, leaving deep impressions from the sheer force.
She couldn't believe that Cherise could undo, on her own, the invisible spell she had created and cast. She was sure something was amiss.

When the ambulance arrived at Betrico Hospital, Yulia was rushed directly into the emergency operating room.
Half an hour had passed since she was wheeled in, yet the surgical status light above the door remained ominously red, showing no sign of turning off.
Her condition was clearly dire. The doctor in the ambulance had s suspecting domestic abuse and nearly calling the police.
epeatedly after assessing her injuries, even
Thankfully, the quick-thinking attendant accompanying Yulia stopped the doctor in time, wary of the family's secrets being exposed.
By the time Rita arrived, Yulia had already been in surgery for an hour, with the light still on. As soon as she entered, she immediately instructed someone to fetch the hospital director. However, for some reason, the director sent word back that he was unavailable, claiming he wasn't at the hospital.
Rita, as sharp as ever, needed no further explanation. With Morris missing, she quickly deduced why the doctor had refused
to come.
She let out a cold snort but decided to set the matter of Morris aside until Yulia's condition was resolved.
Another hour passed, and the surgical light remained on, but the door to the operating room opened and a doctor walked
out.
Rita instantly rose to her feet and approached, asking eagerly, "Dr. Hart! Dr. Hart, how is my granddaughter Yulia? Why hasn't she come out yet?"
The doctor shook his head and replied in a brisk and direct tone, "Ms. Muller's condition is extremely critical. She was already experiencing severe bleeding and was barely breathing when she arrived.
"I don't know exactly what happened to her, but there's only one option now. She's still unconscious, so as her family, you'll need to make a decision on her behalf.
"Since I have a long-standing connection with the Hawkins family, I wanted to consult you as her grandmother. Alternatively, you can contact her parents to decide."
Rita didn't need to guess to know the news would be grim. She was unwilling to involve her son, who was far away in Fresburg.
She replied firmly, "Go ahead. I can handle it. Don't waste any more time-we can't afford delays. I'm the only family she has here in Clusia."
The doctor, sensing her resolve, explained, "Ms. Muller sustained severe trauma to her abdomen, clearly from a deliberate act. The injury has caused significant damage to her uterus. If the uterus isn't removed immediately, the bleeding will continue, and the consequences will be catastrophic."
Rita's eyes widened in shock as she stared at the doctor. She had anticipated the seriousness of the situation but hadn't realized it was this dire.
Her voice grew heavier as she questioned, "Remove the uterus? in... take it out? She'll lose it completely? Does that mean she won't be able to have children anymore?"
The doctor nodded, accustomed to all kinds of reactions in the Hospital, and said calmly, "Yes. Given her current condition, removing the uterus is the only way to stop the bleeding. At leas this way, we can preserve her life. 10:21 Sat, Dec 28
