Chapter 328.1 What Makes Imogen So Unique (1)
Although Imogen claimed she had no intentions of remarrying Troy, he couldn’t help but notice that their relationship had evolved into something closer than it was during their marriage.
Back then, she rarely contradicted or rejected him.
Their interactions were more compliant, polite, and distant.
Imogen had grown more comfortable around him, revealing her quirks and playfulness, which only endeared her to him further. She no longer used names like Erik or Jeremy to provoke him deliberately.
Perhaps, if things continued along this path, Imogen might eventually consider reconciling with
him.
However, there was still one significant obstacle that Troy needed to address.
As Troy entered the ward, Emily was in the middle of her lunch.
She smiled and glanced up at Troy. “You’re here. Have you had lunch? Would you like to join me?” Troy regarded her with a slightly haughty expression. “No, I’m just here to convey a few words, and then I’ll be on my way.”
Emily detected the frostiness in Troy’s tone and raised her head, her expression serious. “What is
it?”
Troy leaned in slightly, his hand brushing over the table where a plane ticket lay.
He pointed to it with his finger and then straightened up. “Emily, you’ve been in the country for quite a while now, and it’s time for you to return. I’ve already secured your ticket, so please ensure you’re at the airport before the flight departs. If that poses any inconvenience, I can arrange
for
someone to assist you.”
His words had a distinct undertone of threat. Emily regarded him with astonishment, her expression soured. “Troy, you…”
“Yes?” Troy raised an eyebrow and countered.
He had already investigated and found that Emily was nearby when Imogen entered the bar the other day.
Yohan had initially planned to meet a client but changed his plans after receiving a phone call, heading to the bar instead.
Those seemingly ambiguous photos had been sent to him by Emily.
Troy knew that Emily had never been fond of Imogen, but he hadn’t anticipated her deliberately distorting the truth to create a rift between him and Imogen.
Troy had hinted at his dissatisfaction with Emily in the past, but he had still exhibited some patience.
During his childhood, Emily had been exceptionally caring toward him, contrasting with her relativelay distant demeanour toward Leo. It had puzzled Troy since Leo was her biological nephew.
Despite Emily’s limited time spent in the country in recent years, Troy still held his aunt in high regard.
However, recent events had gradually eroded the affection Troy had held for Emily in his heart.
Imogen was Troy’s priority, and he had explicitly cautioned Emily not to interfere in his

relationship with Imogen under any circumstances.
Aware that Troy was already informed about what had transpired, Emily no longer attempted to conceal anything. “Troy, I did everything for your good!”
“I don’t need you to look out for me,” Troy retorted.
“What makes Imogen so unique? She had a child with someone else, and she’s connected to Yohan…” Emily sneered.
“Shut up!” He exclaimed.
