(Gabriella)

I glanced over at Jolie as she bit her lip anxiously..I could tell she felt bad. Jamie on the other hand has just been glaring at Rylan while he feeds me cheese. The tension in the room is thick..like awkward type of tension.

"I think I should just go stay at a hotel maybe." Jolie finally spoke, making everyone look at her.

"Jolie.." Rylan began, causing Jolie to snap her head towards him and glare.

"You have no say in this..you have already done enough." She spat, making Rylan swallow hard as he quickly lifted his wine glass and drank.

"We can make arrangements for you." Jamie added. I felt my heart sink as I saw the hurt in Jolie's eyes.

"For fucks sake..are we seriously doing this?! I know planning this behind your backs was shitty..but we have known each other all of our lives. Jolie has been there for every fucking milestone and vice versa..all that Nolan shit..you think that would make you both realize how short life is." Rylan shouted, making my eyes widen as Jamie wrapped his arms around me protectively.

"Lower your voice Rylan." Jamie snapped angrily.

Rylan glanced between us before breathing heavily.

"I appreciate the sentiment Rylan, but I'm sorry, things have changed." Jolie whispered, her eyes filling with tears as she went to walk away.

I felt the urge to comfort her, but Jamie held me tighter as Rylan watched his sister walk out of the room.

"Are you seriously going to let her walk away?" Rylan asked Jamie who just stood there.

Now I was fed up..this has gone too far and I feel like Jolie is getting hurt more than anyone here.

"E-e-enough." I stuttered, causing both the guys to tense before looking at me as I pulled out my phone and began typing a message.

"Rylan, you need to stop meddling in your sister's life. I know you want to help, but you really blindsided her with this. And Jamie, I think you need to just sit down and clear the air with her. Rylan looked at me sheepishly while sighing and rubbing his palms over his face.

"I know..I will take this as a learning experience.." He mumbled before stepping back and leaning against the counter.

"Gabriella, I don't feel comfortable speaking to another woman without you in the room. It feels disrespectful to me." Jamie stated, making my heart melt as I turned to face him and wrapped my arms around his neck.

"I-I kn-know..b-but J-Jolie will b-be re-re-sssp." I was trying to say respectful but the word wouldn't form correctly, making me so freaking frustrated as I let out a huff.

"Hey, take slow deep breaths remember?" He reminded me as I nodded my head and took in a deep breath before letting it out slowly.

"Re-s-s-spectf-ful." I got the big word out. Jamie smiled widely and kissed me on the forehead, showing that be was proud of me.

"I know she will be..I just never want to upset you. You are my number one priority and I feel horrible for even putting you in this position." Jamie confessed.

I lifted on my toes and kissed the corner of his mouth.

"G-go." I whispered before nodding my head as he searched my gaze one last time.

"Okay, but if you feel uncomfortable at any moment, just come get me." He said, making me nod as he eyed Rylan.

"I'm still going to have a talk with you later." He grumbled while stepping out of the kitchen and heading towards where Jolie left.

Soon enough, Ray walked in not too long after, taking his post by the door and watching Rylan carefully.

"Seriously!? You had to send in your goon to watch me?!" He yelled, making me shake my head and stifle a laugh. Ray didn't seem to think it was too amusing though..he just narrowed his eyes at Rylan even more.

"You think that's funny huh?" Rylan asked me teasingly as I just shrugged before picking up a grape and plopping it into my mouth.

"Thanks by the way..for not getting mad..I know it was a shitty thing to do. I just hate seeing everyone so separated like this..and with Nolan.." Rylan suddenly started getting emotional, making my eyes widen as I saw him place his hands over his face.

I glance towards Ray who seemed just as surprised as me before I walked to Rylan.

Lifting my hand, I placed it on his back in a comforting motion.

"I-it's ok-kay." I whispered, hearing Rylan sniffle as he suddenly let out a laugh.

"Sorry..I think the wine is messing with me..I swear I am never like this..I mean..in public." He added, making me smile warmly at him. It doesn't surprise me that Rylan is an emotional guy at all..I actually expected it.

"So much has happened this year. It's crazy how much can change in a matter of months." He went on. I just nodded, agreeing with him wholeheartedly. A lot really has changed.

"I guess I just miss how close we used to be..but I get it. He has you now which I understand. But it sucks how he locks you away and pretty much keeps you to himself too..even though it's probably for good reason now.." He mumbled the last part as I was surprised to hear this. That's when I lifted my hands and began to sign.

"I know it's hard, and you guys have so much history. I can't imagine how it would feel for him to disappear, but maybe this time together will help mend the rift. If not, it might just be one step closer. " I signed, seeing Rylan nod his head as he began to respond to me in ASL. I should be using this opportunity to practice speaking..but I just have no patience right now.

"See, not only are you kind but beautiful too." Rylan signed with a grin, making me roll my eyes as I walked back to where the food was, ignoring him.

"Hopefully they can clear this up, then we can actually have a good vacation." He added, making me frown.

"Remember what Jamie said, this isn't exactly a vacation. We need to be careful." I reminded Rylan as he reached for a strawberry.

"Doesn't mean we can't have fun though right?" He said out loud before wiggling his eyebrows.

"Better enjoy it before the babies come." He laughed, making me freeze as I began blinking rapidly.

"W-what?" I asked, causing Rylan's eyes to grow big as he started to choke on the strawberry he just bit into.

"...I mean when you decide to have them..if you ever do decide to have them...later on..in the future..not now." He blurted out, his gaze avoiding me at all costs as I stepped around the counter and lifted my hand, poking him right in the chest. "H-he t-told you." I said, making Rylan swallow hard before glancing over his shoulder at a stone faced Ray.

Ray knew already, since he drove us to the appointment. But we wanted to wait and tell everyone else after our next appointment just to be safe.

"Fuck..please don't tell him that you know that I know..he wants to beat my ass enough as it is! We can't give him another reason too or he really will.." Rylan pleaded as I narrowed my eyes at him and began to sign.

"I won't tell him..but I'm going to have a little fun with this." I said before smiling mischievously as Rylan gulped.

"Why does that look scare me more than Jamie.." He muttered as I patted him on the arm before stepping away.

Was I mad that Jamie told him? Not really..but I wanted to make him sweat a little..this really could be fun. Jamie Sinclair, you are in big trouble.
