Chapter 42 They Meet in the Club
It was not very far from the University of Washington to Ainsley's home, but for the first time, Ainsley felt a little tired on the way back
After returning home, Ainsley did not even have the mood to make dinner. She just took out a bottle of beet from the refrigerator and nestled herself into the sofa.
She was a little agitated.
But she could not tell why.
She knew very well that she no longer loved Cason. Actually, she hated Cason now.
However, ever since Cason deliberately disgusted Ainsley after they got divorced, Ainsley could not help but feel irritated and even nauseous.
She could not believe that she fell for such a man before.
The alcohol went down her throat to her stomach, and it slowly dissipated the irritation in Ainsley's
heart.
Suddenly, her phone rang.
Ainsley moved her fingers slightly and pressed the answer button.
"Aisy, come out quickly. There is a new club in Seattle. I heard it's super awesome!"
Ainsley thought for a moment and said, "Text me the location."
After getting out of the taxi, Ainsley stood in the cold wind and looked up at the club's neon sign.
She couldn't understand the French on the sign, but she liked the decoration.
"Aisy!" Lainey shouted toward Ainsley.
Ainsley narrowed her eyes and saw Lainey trotting over, and then Lainey gave Ainsley a big hug.
After Lainey kissed Ainsley's cheek, Lainey saw Ainsley's clothes and immediately looked disturbed.
"Aisy, why did you wear this to come to the club?"
Ainsley wore a white T-shirt, light-colored jeans, and a pair of white canvas shoes. She didn't look like someone who would come to a club.
Lainey looked worried. "Ah, that ***Cason. If I meet him one day, I will definitely beat him up. He completely changed you. You used to be so cool."
Ainsley poked Lainey's forehead. "What nonsense are you talking about? I'm just too tired after working for a whole day. I really don't want to change my clothes."
Seeing that Ainsley was a little upset, Lainey stuck out her tongue and smiled. Lainey grabbed Ainsley's arm and walked into the club. "Alright, I was just joking. I have already taken a booth for us. Let's go." They each ordered a specially made ***. Lainey saw that Ainsley had been a little disinterested. They were good friends for many years. Lainey knew there must be something on Ainsley's mind, but Ainsley was unwilling to say it. So Lainey did not ask. They comfortably nestled in the booth, casually talking about some interesting things they had encountered recently.
They did not know that a few men in the next booth were looking at them.
Lainey's face was small and pretty. Her thick hair was scattered down her shoulders. The camisole and shorts that she wore showed her good figure.
Ainsley, who was sitting opposite Lainey, was even more beautiful. Even though Ainsley's clothes. were very simple, Ainsley was still very attractive to others. "Hey, ladies. Fancy a drink?"
Ainsley and Lainey were chatting about gossip when a strange male voice suddenly sounded, making them a little disgusted.
Ainsley raised her head. A man with a fat face and his two followers with tattoos had appeared. before Ainsley and Lainey's table. Those men had fierce expressions on their faces.
Ainsley furrowed her brows and looked at them coldly. "I'm not interested."
Her tone was very cold, which showed there was no room for discussion.
Lainey looked at those men with ridicule. It was unlucky for them to tease Ainsley.
Before Ainsley married Cason, she was famous for beating up a bunch of hooligans.
The commotion here attracted a lot of people. No one noticed that at this time, two handsome men appeared at the entrance of the club..
Roman stepped into the club and immediately saw Ainsley and Lainey. He looked at the man beside him. "Manuel, isn't that your crush, Ainsley?"
