Sweet Subterfuge By Trina Duo Chapter 510
Chapter 510
After her alarm clock rang. Larissa went to the next room to wake Aster up as usual
When she waked out of her bedroom, she was surprised to see both Aster and Kevan fully dressed, sitting side by side in the dining room.
“Mommy, come and have breakfast! Uncle Kevan made it! It’s really delicious! Aster waved at her excitedly.
Larissa walked over doubtfully.
Kevan had made a simple breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, and pasta.
Larissa had bought the pasta a long time ago and placed it in one of the cabinets, completely forgetting about its existence.
Kevan had cooked the pasta and mixed it up with some black pepper sauce.
As the enticing aroma of food filled the air, Larissa couldn’t help swallowing her saliva ea
eagerly.
She sat down across from Aster and picked up the cutlery on the table..
“Thank you for your hard work. You’re unwell and yet you went through the trouble of cooking breakfast for us,” she said with apologetic look at Kevan.
“Just consider it payment for letting me stay here for two nights.” Kevan smiled and gestured to the plate in front of her. “Take a bite.”
Larissa had witnessed his culinary skills during the time they lived together. He was pretty good at cooking.
However, she hadn’t expected that even after losing his memories, he still retained his cooking skills.
“It’s delicious,” she concluded after taking a bite.
“See!” Aster said proudly, as it she had just praised him.
Larissa rolled her eyes at him, but Aster didn’t seem to notice her annoyance.
Aster turned to Kevan with an expectant look. “Uncle Kevan, can you come over more often to cook for us? Your cooking is super delicious! They are the best dishes I’ve ever had!”
Larissa couldn’t help feeling disgruntled by Aster’s effusive praise of Kevan’s cooking. For the past few days, she had been trying her best to cook new dishes for Aster.
Before getting off work, Larissa was already thinking of what groceries to buy for dinner, so much so that she had started losing more hair.
In the end, all her effort was nothing in comparison to Kevan, who had just prepared one breakfast for him.
“Of course! As long as you don’t mind. I don’t mind coming over to cook for you every day,” Kevan agreed readily.
“Really?” Aster widened his eyes which twinkled like stars in the sky.
“Nope, that’s not going to happen. Do you think Uncle Kevan works as our personal chef? Or are you going to pay him a salary?” Larissa found herself being very sarcastic with Aster lately.
Pouting in silence. Aster picked up a piece of bacon and stulled it into his mouth, chewing with his head down.
Kevan gave Larissa a glance and didn’t say anything either.
Breakfast was finished in silence.
“I’m going to the office, so I drop Aster off at the kindergarten on the way. You can leave home a little later.” Kevan grabbed Aster’s hand.
Similarly. Aster clung to Kevan’s side and nodded in agreement. “Yes, Mommy. You should have more rest at home.”
Indeed, Aster’s kindergarten was on the way if they left from Larissa’s home to Microworks Corporation, so Kevan wasn’t lying.
However, Larissa was worried about inconveniencing him. “That’s alright, send him to kindergarten. It’s not a big deal.”
Aster’s lace fell immediately. Pouting, he mumbled, “I want Uncle Kevan to drop me oll.”
Larissa shot him a warning glare.
Feeling sorry for him, Kevan turned around and locked at Aster.
He couldn’t help smiling at his amusing antics.
“Let me take him to kindergarten. Go and get your bag, we’re leaving immediately.” He pulled Aster out from behind him.
“Okay!” Aster ran back to his bedroom, as fast as his short legs could take him.
In less than two minutes, he emerged with a backpack that had a superhero printed on il.
Aster held Kevan’s hand naturally and ignored Larissa, who was just beside him.
“Uncle Kevan, I’m ready!” Looking up at Kevan, his voice rang out loud and clear.
