Sweet Subterfuge By Trina Duo ( Larissa Seymour & Travis Hardy )
Sweet Subterfuge By Trina Duo Chapter 518

Chapter 518

Larissa had never met her biological father before. By the time she was old enough to remember, Yvette was already with Xavier.

She could only piece together a vague image of her lather’s appearance from Yvelle’s poor descriptions.

“He’s an incompetent piece of trash.” Perhaps he was skinny and meek.

“He was always tongue–tied and clumsy.” Maybe he was a silent and introverted man who always doubled himself,

“He’s a freeloader who couldn’t eam a penny by himself. He depends on women to pay his bills.” He probably dressed in the simplest clothes, maybe even a bit sloopy.

In short, he was net particularly impressive or goodlooking.

However, Larissa always had an inkling that Yvette was not telling the truth. Just because they didn’t share a close relationship didn’t mean she didn’t understand her.

Yvette was vain and materialistic, and if her biological father was truly as unbearable as she had described. Yvette would never have married him in the first place.

Then again, perhaps Yvette had become like that because of her failed manlage. Nonetheless, it did not diminish Larissa’s longing for her

father.

Even though Yvelte had told her countless times that her father had died somewhere in the middle of the sea, she still clung to the hope

that her father would one day rescue her from the cruel Seymour family. That hope carried her through those long, frustrating days, preventing her from completely losing her mind and going astray.

She had suffered so much, which was why she always did her best to be good to Aster, to make up for the lack of fatherly love in his life. At the same time, however, she was well aware that for a child, a father was irreplaceable. That was why she couldn’t ignore Aster’s demands.

“I often blamed my mother.” Larissa said. “If she had cared more about my feelings, perhaps I would be much happier now.”

“Your mother Is she not good to you?” Gary asked, his voice trembling.

He could actually imagine it. Since Yvelle hated him deeply, she wouldn’t treat their daughter with any kindness.

However, hearing Larissa say it in person intensilied the pain he felt.

“Give me a moment.” Gary quickly reached into his pocket and took out some medication, swallowing a pill without water.

Larissa’s scrrow was immediately replaced by worry, and she asked anxiously. “Do you need a doctor?”

Gary waved her away. Despite that, his brows lurcwed together, his complexion turning a sickly color and his body was trembling with.

pain. Fortunately, it didn’t last too long, just a few minutes, and his condition gradually returned to normal

“You still haven’t answered my question,” he struggled to say, sweat covering his forehead. “Is your mother not good to you?

Larissa had no Intention of continuing the conversation with him as his condition worried her greatly.

“Let’s talk about that later,” she said. “Let me get the doctor to check on you again.”

However, Gary refused.

“Im fine.” he insisted. “Just tell me. Im all ears.”

Larissa had no choice but to return to her seal.

“My mother,” she began to say with a bitter laugh, “I can only say that she fulfilled the duties of a mother and raised me to adulthood.”

However, the lile she put Larissa through fell worse than hell.

“Some people might think I’m an ungrateful wretch, but I genuinely have never thanked her lor it.”

“I’m sorry.” Tears welled up in Gary’s eyes.
