"Mr. Rogers. I don't think this is within my responsibilities. Larissa sald

She was only pretending to be his girlfriend, and it didn't mean they had to do things that real couples did.

Kevan put his hands in his pockets, smirking.

"Well this is the price you pay for spreading numars recklessly. And there will be more to come. Until the rumors about me and Lana completely disappear, be prepared for the consequences." Upon hearing this, Larissa deeply regretted her decision. Il she had known it would lead to that she wouldn't have taken the blame.

Kevan waved her away. "That's it for now. See you Icright."

He turned around walking away nonchalantly. At that moment, the elevator descended, departing from the 69th floor.

Utterly frustratec. Larissa pounded the elevator button twice.

From a distance, Kevan called. "If you hit it till it breaks, you'll have to pay for it."

Larissa immediately hid her hands behind her back, feeling guilty. She hurriedly denied. "I'm not doing anything. You must have misheard."

When Kevan entered the office, the lively discussions screeched to a halt. Everyone who had been whispering to each other quickly lowered their heads and started typing on their keyboards, pretending to be working hard. Kevan clapped his hands twice gathering everyone's attention.

"Remember, the Miss Seymour who just left is my girfriend," he said. "You can tell anyone you know about it."

When he said "can." he meant "must". His intelligert employees understood the underlying meaning behind his words.

"Understood?" Kevan asked.

Everyone replied unanimously, "Understood"

Dylan was still in Kevan's office, taking care of the remaining food on the table. When he heard the door open, he turned around in surprise. "Didn't you escort Larissa back? Why did you come back so quickly?"

"I only escorted her to the elevator entrance." Kevan sald, frowning and glaring at him. "Why are you still here?"

Dylan swallowed the last bite of food. "T leave right away."

He carefully tidied up the trash and wiped the table with a napkin three times.

*Please inspect the table, sir," Dylan said, gesturing at the coffee table.

Kevan snorted, 'll give you a pass I guess."

Scoffing, Dylan changed the topic and asked. "Do you really think Larissa spread that rumor? She knows about your relationship with Lana, after all"

"She's so foolish that she might think there's something between me and Lana" Kevan thought of how Larissa purposely drove her car to the underground parking lot the day before to avoid him and Lana, which annoyed him.

"But she's not the type to gossip," Dylan said, defending Larissa "Even if she misunderstood the situation, she would keep it to herself instead of telling others, right?" Kevan, who knew Larissa better than Dylan, had considered that possibility.

However

Dylan rubbed his chin, changing the direction of the conversation. "Since she's willing to take the blame. It shows that she knows who spread the rumor." Kevan muttered, "Zero"

It didn't take a genius to figure that out. The rumor had spread within Microworks, and there was only one person Larissa knew al Microworks besides him and Dylan-Zero, "You know it's Zer, so why didn't you expose Lanssa just now? Dylan asked. "Are you

are you secretly planning to do something to

Zero?

"No." Kevan said, looking into the distance as an unreadable smile formed on his lips. "I have no plans to do anything to Zero."
