Since Gary still had a meeting, he left with Lewis. He was unhappy after getting lectured by Larissa. Kevan stayed behind to keep Larissa company.

To cheer her up, he brought her downstairs in a wheelchair to bask in the sun,

The small park at the hospital was one of the few peaceful places in Westonia. There weren't many tall buildings around to block out the sun. So, the warm sunrays shone down on the people in the park. It bathed them in a dazzling golden glow.

Before they went out, Kevan wrapped Larissa in a thick down coat and covered her legs with a thick blanket Still Larissa bund herself feeling hot after a couple of minutes. She unzipped the coat.

Kevan frowned in disapproval. He went around the wheelchair. He knell in front of her, zipping the coat back up to her chin.

His fingers were long and slender. In contrast to the red coat, his skin looked even paler than usual. It made the bluish veins underneath more apparent.

Larissa couldn't help but stare at Kevan. She was completely entranced. She sighed at how unfair lite seemed to be. It had given Kevan the best of everything. Alas, no one would want to be in his shoes either "You might feel cold as it's windy," Kevan said in a low voice beside Larissa's ear. It brought her back to her senses.

"The doctor said that your body is still weak, and your immunity would be weaker than normal" he continued in a gentle tone.

At that moment, Larissa suddenly understood why Aster liked Kevan so much.

She nodded, her gaze locused on Kevan. Hall of her face was hidden by the collar of the coat. Only her clear and bright eyes were visible. Although Larissa did not mean to do that, Kevan couldn't help but feel burned on by her innocent and unwavering gaze. He hadn't felt such a strong urge in a long time.

Blushing. Kevan quickly stood up and turned his lace away.

He changed the subject "Aster's eyes are exactly like yours." His voice was hoarse as his throat tightened with desire.

Larissa didn't notice anything unusual about Kevan. She replied, "Of course, I'm his mother!"

Her reservation and aloof demeanor had faded a bit after being away from the workplace for so long. Now, there was soft femininity and gentleness in her mannerisms. Kevan swallowed with difficulty due to the dryness in his throat. Still, Larissa was oblivious to Kevan's discomfort

She continued chattering. "You should have seen my childhood photos! Aster is practically a carbon copy of me when I was little!"

That was what she was most grateful for. Aster seemed to not have inherited any of his biological father's genes.

Kevan suppressed the urge to correct her. He had indeed seen her childhood photos. In fact, he had seen quite a few of them.

Larissa was definitely exaggerating when she said that Aster was a carbon copy of her when she was younger.

The only feature in Aster that resembled Larissa was his bright eyes. In truth, his other features were more similar to Kevan's.

Kevan pushed Larissa's wheelchair as they took a walk around the park. When Larissa finally fell silent, he stopped in his tracks and sat down on a nearby bench. "Actually, I came here for a reason. I need to talk to you about something."

Hesitating for a moment to gather his courage, he finally decided to speak up.

Looking into his somber eyes, Larissa suddenly tell a tle anxious. The serious expression on his face was the complete opposite of how he acted yesterday. Larissa couldn't lathom what he was going to say. Biting her lower lip, she waited for him to continue.
