Inside the ballroom, Sharon was doing the final checks of the venue. She walked in sky-high heels, dressed in a tailored white pantsult that hugged her figure. Her shoulder-length hair danced in the air as she fitted around the hall. It brought attention to the sparkling diamond earrings dangling from her ears.

The moment Dylan saw Sharon, his gaze fell on her, mesmerized by her beauty. Dylan looked like a lovesick puppy. Thus, Kevan snapped a picture of Dylan on his phone. Sharon spoke to the staff milling around her with a walkie-talkie in one hand. She pointed to the misaligned lights on the ceiling with a frown.

Kevan asked Dylan, "Should we go over to Sharon?"

Dylan finally pulled his eyes away from her. Looking around the ballroom, he replied with an indifferent expression on his face, "There's no need. Let's replace a place to sit down." Kevan raised an eyebrow, "Didn't you say that Sharon had called you three times? She must have had something urgent for you to do, don't you think?"

"Sharon's always been bugging me to help with the wedding! It's not even our wedding. Why should she put so much time and effort into this? Dylan responded in a bitter tone.

Kevan immediately understood his underlying thoughts. "What are you thinking of having a wedding now? Back then, you were the one who refused to have a wedding, not Sharon, Now you're the one getting upset with her. Aren't you being unreasonable?" Kevan said, giving Dylan the side eye.

Dylan's expression was as dark as thunder. Unable to retort, he shot a furious glare at Kevan and demanded. "When did you start siding with Sharon?"

Kevan shrugged and replied. "No, I'm on the side of reason,"

Gritting his teeth. Dylan cursed. "Get lost!"

The presence of two tall and handsome men at the entrance of the ballroom naturally attracted the attention of everyone nearby. Even Sharon followed the curious stares of the staff and looked over at them. The moment she noticed Kevan and Dylan, she smiled and hurried over.

They had mopped the ballroom floor, and it wasn't dry yet. Sharon's feet slipped on a wet patch when she approached Dylan and Kevan She lost her balance, toppling backward. Screams of homar erupted from the crowd. At that critical juncture, Kevan caught a glimpse of dark figure who had immediately rushed toward Sharon. Pursing his lips, Kevan suppressed his urge to smile.

Dylan was just in time. Holding Sharon in his arms, he saved her like a damsel in distress. Enthusiastic cheers and applause erupted from

the onlookers for his heroic act.

Sharon seemed to have not expected that Dylan would save her. Stunned, she remained in Dylan's embrace for a whole minute until he finally muttered, "Can you stand on your own?"

He had an impatient expression, and his tone was abrupt, but Kevan could detect the concern in his voice for Sharon

"Oh!" Sharon snapped back into reality and set her feel on the ground, standing up with Dylan's support. Embarrassed, she said, "Thank

you for saving me."

Dylan stepped back, eager to put some distance between them. Noticing his actions, the hope in Sharon's eyes dimmed.
