Kevan did not avoid Larissa's attacks. He just stood there and used his chest to bear it all.

Larissa was really angry. She used a great deal of her strength to throw the pillow, but she did not expect that Kevan would just stand there and let her beat him.

So, when she saw him sway dangerously, her guilt swallowed the rage from before, and words of concern escaped her mouth. "Are you okay?"

The pillow fell off Kevan's body. He gripped his chest with pain, and there was a painful expression on his face.

Larissa panicked even more. She threw the blanket off and got closer to him.

"Does it hurt?" she asked anxiously as she sat on her legs in front of him. She did not know what to do all of a sudden.

Kevan did not say a single word as he gritted his teeth. He seemed to be in the greatest pain possible.

"Sorry..." Larissa's forehead began to sweat from her panic. She reached out to rub his chest but realized halfway through that this was not suitable.

But she had not even pulled her hand back when Kevan gripped her wrist tightly. He pulled her, and she stumbled right into his arms.

Kevan's hands pressed against her neck and waist, trapping her.

"Larissa Seymour," he whispered into her ear. His breath was so hot. His low, magnetic voice wiggled into her ear without any problem.

Larissa stiffened up immediately as her face was stuck against his neck. She stopped breathing on instinct.

"Admit it, woman. You must have me." Kevan's voice was like magic. It could trick people's hearts.

Larissa's face burned so red. She listened as he continued saying, "Mike Young, Allen Grint, or even anyone else is impossible for you. You can only have me." Having her real thoughts exposed and guessed right by Kevan, Larissa felt super humiliated and angry. She struggled furiously to escape his grip.

"The fuck are you saying?! Let me go! Kevan why the fuck are you so annoying?! If you don't let go I'm going to fucking kick you out of the damned house!" However, Kevan never let go no matter how much she beat him and screamed at him. "Larissa." He called her name again. This time, his voice was more serious than before.

Larissa froze. Although she was still angry, she was also scared because of his sudden seriousness.

"It's not that hard to see your own heart clearly, you know." Kevan let her go after he finished saying that.

Larissa was still frozen.

"Eat." Kevan recomposed himself. It was like nothing had happened between them. His expression and tone were so calm like it was just the usual business. "I will come to get the dishes later."

...

Larissa had no appetite at all. She sat on the bed and stared at the dishes Kevan left her.

They were all her favorite foods, but she did not even want to pick up her spoon and fork.

Her brain kept replaying what he said.

"Admit it, woman. You must have me."

Kevan's voice was like magic. It refused to disappear.

Larissa did not know if she really had to have him. But it was like he said, the moment Larissa thought of sharing the same bed with Mike or Allen-

Disgust exploded in Larissa's stomach, and goosebumps appeared on her skin.

She did like Kevan. This was a truth that could not be changed. But she was not sure of Kevan's feelings for her.
