Larissa's unexpected actions caught Kevan off guard. After a pause, he smiled and said, "Sure."

"I want to go too!" Aster exclaimed and jumped off the sofa, rushing toward Kevan.

Wendy acted swiftly and caught Aster by the waist. She held him in her arms tightly. "Why are you going out so late at night? It's cold outside. You might catch a cold!"

Aster struggled to escape, but Wendy glared at him and threatened in a low tone, "If you struggle any longer, I will not take you to McRonald's behind your mother's back again!" Aster settled down immediately.

Wendy shot a smile at Larissa and Kevan. "I will take care of Aster. Don't worry. Larissa, take your time in sending Mr. Rogers off. If you don't want to come back home, it's fine too." Larissa shot her a glare, signaling for her to shut up. She grabbed Kevan's hand and said, "Let's go."

Larissa's apartment faced the street, with the main road just outside. Kevan's car was parked by the roadside, less than six feet from the apartment entrance. It took less than a minute to get to his car.

When Kevan unlocked his car, Larissa's heart sank. Grabbing his wrist instinctively, she said, "Let me walk you home." She lowered her head, and her voice was muffled by a thick wool scarf that covered half of her face.

Kevan raised his eyebrows. "On foot?" Larissa nodded. "Yeah!"

"It's too cold. I'm not dressed warmly." Kevan seemed unwilling.

He only wore a thin shirt under his coat. His neck was exposed to the wind. Staring at his Adam's apple, Larissa had a distressed look on her face.

Kevan chuckled and rested his hand on Larissa's. His eyes were tender as he said, "Get in the car. I'll take you for a ride."

Westonia was a city that never slept. At 8:00 pm, the city was at its liveliest. The neon lights decorating the streets shone down on the fashionable young people roaming around in groups.

Kevan drove at a slow pace. In less than five minutes, several cars behind them honked impatiently. However, Kevan ignored them. The heating in the car was working well.

Larissa soon broke into a sweat. Taking off her scarf and down jacket, she held them tightly in her arms.

Kevan took a tissue to wipe the sweat off her forehead. Larissa was deep in thought at that moment. When his fingers touched her skin, she jumped in surprise.

Noticing his intention, Larissa took the tissue from him and rubbed it on her face haphazardly.

Kevan chuckled at how flustered she was. "Is there something you want to tell me? Feel free to say it."

He had always been patient with her. If she were unwilling to speak, he would drive around all night for her. However, she seemed so anxious that he felt sorry for her. In the end, Kevan decided to make it quick.

"How did you know? Am I that obvious?" Larissa turned to him in surprise and patted her cheeks in frustration.

"Yes." Kevan nodded solemnly.

Normally, he couldn't grasp her thoughts. However, Larissa was surprisingly easy to read when she was in a dilemma.

Larissa lowered her head once again.
