They ended up eating dinner at home.

Larissa had no appetite.

She picked at her food before making an excuse to go back to her bedroom.

When Kevan entered the room, he saw her sitting on the edge of the bed with her head down.

She was looking at her phone with a conflicted expression.

Hearing his footsteps, Larissa looked up and asked Kevan, "Did you already know earlier on?"

Thinking back, his unusual behavior made sense.

"Not that early. The night before yesterday, I heard that man's voice on Wendy's video call. I found it familiar, but I only suspected it."

Kevan walked over to her and sat down.

"So, that's why you deliberately offered to pick him up at the airport to confirm your suspicions?"

"Yes."

Now that things had progressed this far, Kevan had no need to hide anything.

Although Wendy declined his offer, Kevan managed to confirm his suspicions on his own yesterday.

His ears had not deceived him.

This whole situation had become quite tricky.

"Are you going to tell Wendy the truth?" he asked Larissa. Her attitude would determine his next step.

"I don't know." Larissa sighed.

The moment she found out about Wendy's lover, she was in a dilemma regarding this matter.

"I don't know what his intentions are." That was the most troubling thing for her.

"If he is coming after us, I'll tell Wendy to stay away from him. But what if he has genuinely fallen for Wendy at first sight?" Larissa was reminded of the happiness she saw in Wendy's face recently. What Larissa least wanted to do was to hurt her. "Based on what I know of him, the probability of the second scenario happening is close to zero."

Kevan's words were like a bucket of cold water that dashed her hopes.

Larissa gripped her phone tightly.

She felt a heavy weight on her chest, suffocating her.

"What should I do? I can't tell Wendy directly that the man she loves is a fraud. Everything she experienced was just a trap he set to come after us

She gritted her teeth to hold back tears.

Larissa couldn't imagine if Wendy could take the blow.

She was her best friend and her savior who had rescued her from the lowest point in her life.

Apart from Aster, Wendy was the closest and dearest person to her in this world.

"She would be terribly hurt. You might not believe it. Even though she seems carefree, she is more sensitive than anyone else." Larissa choked up, tears falling on her lap.

Kevan tenderly pulled her into his embrace and wiped away the tears on her cheeks. "If you replace it difficult to bring up, we can think of another way," he said.

"What way?" Larissa's eyes were filled with tears. She seemed quite pitiable.

Kevan chuckled and comforted her, "I will tell you once you stop crying."

Larissa wiped her tears hastily with the back of her hand and sniffed. Putting on a serious face, she said, "I'm ready."

Kevan kept his promise and revealed his plan. "In fact, there are many ways to break them up. We can choose a method that would hurt Wendy the least..."

"Like letting her know that Edmund is a scumbag? Right! I can replace an opportunity to drug Edmund, strip him naked, and put him in bed with another woman. Then, we can get Wendy to catch him in the act! This way, Wendy will give up on him for good! This plan is perfect!" Larissa finished his sentence eagerly.

Watching Larissa get so excited, Kevan felt a headache coming on.
