Larissa was startled out of her skin. She almost forgot to maintain the expression on her face.

Kevan remained composed.

"Didn't we discuss moving earlier? Since we're free, we'll move some of our things to the new house."

This topic was initiated by Wendy herself yesterday.

When she heard Kevan's words, she didn't suspect anything. "You found a house so quickly?"

Kevan smiled. "I've been planning it for a while."

Wendy gave him a thumbs up. "Truly befitting your style, Mr. Rogers!"

Larissa turned her back toward Wendy to avoid eye contact with her.

Wendy hugged Larissa from behind and asked jokingly, "What's wrong? Missing me already?"

Larissa choked up and spoke in a trembling voice, "Yeah."

"It's not like we won't see each other anymore! Don't worry, I'll come over often to mooch off your meals!" Wendy consoled her instead. "Okay." Larissa grabbed her hand and squeezed her eyes shut. She tried not to think about the jumbled mess in her mind.

Aster seemed very enthusiastic toward Wendy after getting scolded by Larissa.

He clung to her and asked, "Godma! Did you go on a date today?"

Blushing, Wendy let go of Larissa and poked Aster in the forehead.

She said, "Little kids should meddle in adult matters!"

"Godma, are you happy now that we are moving out? You can bring your boyfriend to stay at home!" Aster paid no heed to Wendy and probed.

"Larissa! What nonsense have you been spouting to your son?" Wendy poked Larissa in the back and glared at her.

"I didn't teach him anything. He must have been influenced by watching cheesy dramas with you every day." Larissa insisted, shifting the blame to Wendy.

Wendy was rendered speechless by Larissa's words.

After a moment, she warned Aster, "Godma is still a single woman, I have no boyfriend. Don't spread rumors everywhere! If I can't get married in the future, I will move in with you and have you take care of me when I am old!"

"Huh? But I heard you on the phone last night..." Aster had a puzzled expression on his face.

Wendy's face turned pale and rushed to cover Aster's mouth with her hand. "You heard wrong!"

She signaled to him with her eyes to shut up.

"You don't have to cover his mouth, Aster already told us about this." Larissa gave her a cold glance.

"Alastair, you chatterbox! I will never take you out to McRonald's behind your mom's back anymore!" Wendy was both embarrassed and angry.

Aster lunged forward to cover Wendy's mouth. "Mommy, Godma is just saying that out of anger! Don't believe her! She never took me out to McRonald's without your knowledge!"

Larissa chuckled and decided to not engage in their battle. "I'm going to take a shower and go to sleep."

She quickly left the scene.

When Larissa came out of the bathroom, there was no one in the living room.

Kevan was waiting for her in the bedroom.

"Remember what I told you in the car this afternoon?"

Larissa thought for a moment, "Is it about Allen?"

"Yeah," Kevan replied with a serious expression.
