Chapter 899

With a long face, Marilyn spared it a glance and handed over her phone that she had unlocked.

Seeing that Larissa immediately keyed in her number and saved it in Marilyn's contacts. Just as she was about to return the phone to Marilyn, a message popped up and caught her instant attention. "If you refuse to help me, I'll leak all the things that you did."

Larissa was stunned for a moment. In the next second, Marilyn swiftly grabbed her phone back and placed it face down on the table. Although her expression was slightly unpleasant, she still tried her best to conceal it

Larissa didn't like prying into other people's privacy, so she pretended she didn't notice anything. "Who went on the business trip with Mr. Logan Junior?"

"Hayden," Marilyn replied.

Aside from putting names to faces, Larissa didn't know anything else about her new colleagues in the department. Hence, it was impossible for her to carry on with that topic of conversation. Larissa nodded and continued eating in silence.

"What a pity." Marilyn suddenly said. Her demeanor was back to how she usually was.

"Hmm?" Larissa looked at her in confusion.

"It was supposed to be you to go to Egron with Mr. Logan Junior." Marilyn sighed. "I even made a list for you to go shopping on my behalf, The luxury goods over there are way cheaper!" Larissa felt a little awkward. "Don't worry, I'll probably go on frequent business trips in the future. I can help you buy whatever you war

want."

"Frequent business trips?" Marilyn bit her lip. "With Mr. Logan Junior?" She didn't sound as casual as just now.

"Yes." Upon realizing that she would be facing various challenges in the times ahead, Larissa became slightly solemn.

"I'm so envious of you!" Marilyn chuckled, but the curve at the comers of her lips was stiff. "Not only can you travel on the company's dime, but you also have a handsome man like Mr. Logan Junior accompanying you!"

"Do you want to go for me? Larissa joked.

Marilyn waved her hand and said sarcastically. "Mr. Logan Junior won't want that."

"Who said so?" Larissa retorted. "You're young, beautiful, and capable. Why won't he want to go with you?"

Marilyn smiled bitterly. "Let's not talk about this anymore. Hurry up and eat. We still need to work!"

Since Glory Hill was too far from the city center. Gary let Aster stay at home for a few days and didn't send him to kindergarten.

When Larissa went to pick Aster up, she had to first go home with Gary.

Gary still hadn't given up on his idea of keeping Aster with him. He tried to talk Larissa into it using various reasons. "I have servants at home, and they can take care of Aster all day long. You don't have to rush to pick him up from school after work every day."

"Attending kindergarten doesn't seem beneficial. He just plays with the teachers every day and learns nothing. It'd be better to hire someone to teach him at home. Why don't you move over too? It's inconvenient for you and Aster to stay with your friend. What if the two of you have partners in the future?"

Fed up with his persistence, Larissa finally dragged Lewis into this. "If you're desperate to have your grandchild with you all the time, why don't you replace Lewis a wile? I think Marilyn is a good match. She knows him well and is decent in every aspect. How about you match them up and see if things work out for them?"
