Daylan turned to look at Stefan " I am sure that was the same man that locked Faye in the sauna" thedescription of the hotel clerk matched with the one his hotel manager told him after they saw the takewhen he was entering the room where Faye was, I guess he is going but uses the eye glasses andshabby clothes as a cover up"

Stefan got up and placed his hand on Daylan shoulder " We are at dead end and maybe it is time wecall the cops in"

"No, if we do they will kill her for sure, honestly I shouldn't have called you here either. I just hope theydon't replace out that you are here with me"

"Alright then, all we can do now is to finish our sandwich and wait for their call, and I think you shouldget some rest too"

Daylan shook his head " I can't rest until I have her back, I have to stay awake in case they call"

"At least lay down to sleep Daylan, I will be here and if the phone rings I will wake you. You can laydown on the couch if you don't want to go to the bedroom" Stefan went into the bedroom and grabbeda pillow handling it over to Daylan.

Taking the pillow he growled at him " You are getting as bossy as Faye" he heard Stefan chuckle as helaid down and stretched closing his eyes. He wasn't sure how long he had slept when Stefan shookhim awake, he jumped and grabbed the phone "Daylan here" he said, and listened to the person on theother end. After being told where to go and what time to be there he growled into the phone " I will giveyou whatever you want but if you have harmed her in any way I will kill you" the call ended before hefinished his statement.

"What did they say and did you recognize the voice? Stefan asked.

"No, they were using one of those gadget that distort voices, I have to meet then in three hours" helooked at Stefan " I never should have asked you to come here or told you what was happening, I haveto go alone Stefan, you cannot come with me" Daylan knew he would never tell Stefan where he wasgoing to, he had been warned to come alone and that people are out there watching him, they wouldkill Faye and send her head to him if he disobey them.

"No Daylan, I am not letting you go alone. These people are dangerous and you need help, my help"

"Stefan I am your boss and you will do as I say"

"I am ask your friend and a member of your family"

Daylan put his hand behind Stefan thick neck drawing him closer " You are family, but you can't helpme this time. I must go alone and save her, I will not put her life at risk by taking you along with me"letting go of him, he stepped back.

"I am going to change and get my gun, call down and have them bring my car around" he told Stefanand headed to the bedroom.

There was no way in hell Stefan was going to let Daylan go alone, it has always been his job to protecthim and his family. He waited for Daylan to leave the room before going over and pick his phone up.Removing the back he reached into his pocket and took out a tiny device, he placed the tracking deviceinside and closed the cover. He checked his phone to be sure the device was working, and seeing thatit was perfect he quickly put Daylan phone back on the table after calling downstairs and arranging forhis car, Stefan made another call.

Daylan came out tucking his gun in the back of his waistband under his shirt, going over he poured twoshot of whiskey and handed one to Stefan and sat across from him " Stefan if anything were to happento me or to us, i need you to promise that you and my mother will take care of the children"

"You know we will, but nothing is going to happen to either one of you, I won't let it"

Daylan looked at him, he knew right there that Stefan was bent on following him and that would putFaye's life in danger, he wasn't going to let that happen. Swallowing the last whiskey he stood up andheld out his hand for Stefan to shake, "I will see you soon friend, I am sorry"

Stefan squirted his eyes " Sorry for what?"

Unknown to him Daylan knew how to make anybody unconscious by just applying pressure on aparticular point in the neck, he and his best friend Anthony learnt that when they were young. Withoutwarning Daylan reached over placing his hand on Stefan throat and put pressure on the right spot, hewas so quick that the man didn't see it coming and dropped to the ground like a fly. Grabbing his jacketand the black bag filed with money he looked down at Stefan " Sorry friend, you will be alright. I justcould not risk having you follow me" putting his phone in his pocket he headed to the elevator.
