Chapter 16

ROSIE POV

"It happened on that fateful day when we were heading out to have fun for my birthday I was turning 7. We were going out to get me ice cream. I still remember how happy we looked like nothing actually cares in the world only just us. My parents were my everything. They were the only ones who could make me so happy. We were one big happy family but then as he was driving, he turned to look at me when I said a word. He didn't notice a car coming in full speed in front him on time. My mother saw it and quickly screamed for him to shift but before he could move the car to the other side, the incoming vehicle ran straight in to our car. I didn't know what next because everything happened as a blur. I remembered opening my eyes to seeing my mother's lifeless body in front of me as she tried to cover me up from getting hit. Then also my dad was also in front of her shielding her. It was a horrible sight that was has refused to leave my mind. That was how I was the only one who survived that accident and loosing both my parents that day. That's my story." I said to Angel who has been quiet listening to me all this while.

"Wow you truly had a rough life just at a little age. I can't imagine what you must have gone through all this year's. You really are a strong person Rosie and your parents are heroes for giving up their life's just to save you. That only means they know that you are born with a great purpose." Angel said smiling at me. I smiled back to her.

"Well enough of that. Can we talk about something different to lighten up the mood?" I said not wanting to remember the past again.

"Alright but what should we talked about." she asked me.

"Well how about you tell me how you found out that Nate was your mate. " I said sitting properly so I could look at her face.

"hahaha do we really need to talk about it?" she asked blushing.

"Aww are you shy? Yes we need to talk about it." I said to her.

"Alright then but you are to promise me that when you get your mate, you would share your story also with me. And I should be the first to know. So do we have an agreement?" she asked.

I thought about it. I don't think I will be having a mate so it's better I agree to this deal because even if I want to talk to her about Evans, it would be hard since I'm under his command. "Alright we have an agreement." I said smiling.

"Alright then. Well before we found out that we were mates, I actually had a crush on him." she confessed.

I gasped out.

"Are you serious?"

"Yes well I couldn't help my self. It happened in highschool that I was walking with so many notes on my hand to submit to a teacher because I was the class rep. It was actually heavy carrying it but I decided to just carry it without complaining because I didn't people to think that I was weak. So I kept walking with the books when someone ran into me knocking me and the books down. I was so angry well not at the person but I was angry because I was so tired and I had to pack the books again. I asked the person if he was out of his mind without looking at the person's face as I was picking the books. I noticed he was also helping me out picking the books and also apologizing to me but I didn't want to hear his apology as I kept on talking and complaining on how some people won't look where they are going and all. I sure really said some mean things and also called him a blind bat. It was after we were done picking and we stood up that I saw who it was. I was so shocked that I was just rude to the future gamma. I quickly apologized because I didn't want to be punished but you know what he did next. He smiled and said it's okay he deserved all the insults because he was at fault for not watching his front. He helped me to carry the books to the teachers office and then he smiled at me before leaving. Gosh I was speechless and I felt so hot. That was when I had a crush on him because he was so humble and kind. I mean who won't crush for someone like him. But then when I heard I would replace my mate soon, I decided to stop crushing on him because I didn't want to have two people in my heart it won't be fair on my mate. So I stopped thinking about him. I tried so hard to push his thoughts out of my head. It was during a get together that we met again and I found that he was my mate. I was so overjoyed that he was my mate but at the same time I was scared he would reject me because I'm just a warrior daughter. But surprisingly he didn't instead we made love that night and he marked me. That's my story." she said smiling.

"Wow you are indeed very lucky to replace a mate who truly loves you." I said to her.

"Don't you worry. I know you will replace us soon or maybe his on his way who knows."

I laughed to her statement because I knew there was no chance for me again.

"So have you planned on when you have kids?" I asked her.

"Well we have talked about it but well for now we are not ready for that yet but whenever we are ready we would definitely have our own kids. Nate is very good with children. We visited the orphanage some time ago to just see how the children are doing. I was surprised to see how cheerful and playful he was playing with the children. I was close to tell him to just let us make some babies immediately but I had to hold myself." Angel said smiling.

"Well Angel I must say the moon goddess really blessed you with a good man. You are so lucky to have him as your mate I'm telling you. Not everyone is as lucky as you are." I said to her.

"I know that and I'm truly grateful to the moon goddess for giving me my crush as my mate. Rosie don't you worry I'm sure your mate would be the best when he comes because you are a sweetheart I'm sure he will treat you right but if he doesn't just let me know. I will come with Smith, and Nate to beat some sense into him." she said making me to laugh.

"I would definitely call you when I need you." I said to her.

"Alright enough of the talking. I'm so hungry let's go and eat." she said.

We began to eat when I felt someone lurking around. At first I shaked it off as nothing but then I couldn't get over the feeling.

"Sun do you feel that?" I asked her.

"Yes I do we have to be careful I am sensing it's a rogue." she said.

"Rogue? But that's not possible. We have a strong barrier and tight security so how is it that a rogue was able to enter here?" I asked.

"Well I don't know but let's think of how to get her first." Sun replied.

I decided to mind link angel so that our intruder won't hear us and decided to run away. I don't think Angel knows what's going on because she was eating peacefully.

"Angel don't turn back or shout but I think someone is lurking around your house watching us." I said to her through the mind link.

Her eyes went wide. I noticed she began to concentrate on her senses.

"You are right. I sense it also. I'm going to mind link Nate right now." she said before her eyes changed color.

"Well let's sneak and capture the person before he comes." she said after she was done talking to Nate.

"But isn't that dangerous. We don't know how many rogues are there." I said to her.

"Don't worry we can beat them down together before Nate comes. Let's go."

We stood up and began to move around the house like we were playing so the rogue won't know our plan then we burst outside to where we could feel the presence ready to attack when we stopped in our tracks.

We were expecting a scary male rogue but we definitely wasn't expecting a young female rogue who looked so thin and injured.

Angel went in front of me

"Who are you and what are you doing here?" she asked her slowly.

"I'm sorry to intrude please don't hurt me. My name is maria." the rogue said and from here voice she sounded so weak. I felt pity for her.

Angel was about to ask her another question when I interrupted her.

"Come on let's go inside. We would hurt you. We will just get you something to eat and some clothes to wear." I said to her calmly.

She looked at me and slowly walked towards us. I looked up to Angel to see if it was okay and she was already staring at me with a surprised look.

"What is that?" she asked me.

"What is what?" I asked back so confused.

"What you just did now. The way you spoke to her felt so calming that I felt it too and I know that it's only the Luna who can calm us down in such manner." she said.

"I also don't know." I said truthfully.

"Alright let's take her inside now. I bet Nate is closed by." she said.

We took Maria inside and gave her the remaining food we left. The way she rushed the food truly made me feel sad for her. She sure has a huge story.

She quickly stopped eating and jumped to hide behind me. I was surprised first but the moment the door opened forcefully I knew why she did that.

Nate, Smith and some other guards entered.

Nate was about to charge at her when Smith beat him to it pushing me aside roughly. I definitely injured my leg thanks to how rough he was. I turned quickly trying to stop him from hurting Maria but I was shocked to see him hugging the scared girl as he growl a word that let my eyes go wide.

"MATE."
