Chapter 31

ROSIE POV

I opened my eyes and the sunlight coming from the windows made me shut them back immediately. Gosh my head was killing me. I felt like my brains were beating so fast in my head. I slowly stood up and walked downstairs to get some pain killers.

When I went to the kitchen, I saw Maria looking exactly the same state as I was. I didn't need to say a word. She passed me the pain killers and a glass of water.

I quickly swallowed the drug and drank enough water.

I lazily walked to the living room and sat down there waiting for the drug to start working.

Maria walked and joined me too. We both sat down without saying a word to each other.

After some time, Maria spoke.

"There is no way I'm ever going to touch alcohol ever again." she said.

"You just read my mind. I totally agree with you." I said to her.

"But how did we get back home?" I asked her as I couldn't remember anything that happened last night. It was like my mind had blacked out.

"I can't remember what happened also but I think I remember Angel calling someone daddy and the person left with her." Maria answered.

We sat in silent before her words registered in our minds. We looked at each other with our eyes wide open.

"What if she followed someone to his house? What will Nate say? Let's call her." I said as we quickly stood up to look for our phones. I was strong to run because the pain killers were working just fine.

Maria was able to replace her phone first. She quickly dialed Angel's number. I stood next to her forgetting all about my search for my phone.

We dialed her line the first time but she didn't pick. We began to panic before calling her the second time. This time she picked but it wasn't her voice we heard. It was a deep male voice.

"Hello who is this?" the person said.

"Hello you fucking bastard how dare you take someone's mate to your house to fuck. You just took advantage on a drunk lady and that isn't right. Don't you have any respect you man whore." Maria blurted out in anger. Although I was also angry, I couldn't help but think she was harsh on him.

"What are you saying?" the man asked with confusion on his voice.

"Dont play the confused card on me young man. I'm going to call her mate and trust me your going to get it from him." Maria said.

"Wait a minute, Maria are you still drunk?" he said.

Maria and I shared a confused look.

"Who are you and how do you know my name?" Maria asked slowly.

"Its me Nate."

Wait a minute his who?

"Nate like Angel's mate?" I asked.

"Yes you girls."

"But why does your voice sounds so different?" Maria asked exactly the question on my mind.

"Your call just woke me up." he said.

"So you were the one who took Angel home last night right?" I asked him.

"Yes I left with her while you girls left with Smith and Evans." he said.

I was surprised when I heard that arrogant jerk's name. What brought him to the club. I need to remember exactly what happened yesterday.

"Now you girls excuse me, I need to sleep some more. My night was short so I need rest." he said before hanging up.

"Is it just me or the reason his night was short was because he and Angel had s*x?" Maria asked.

"I think so too. But let's not talk too much it's their privacy." I said to her.

"Alright let's go prepare something to eat. I'm starving." she said standing up. I followed suit and we went to the kitchen.

After we were done cooking and eating, we went to rest in our rooms. No school today for us fortunately.

As I was laying on my bed, a thought entered my head.

"Don't hang around with men because my wolf doesn't like it and his causing me a headache because of his jealousy. For me you can whore around I don't care but for my wolf don't do it." "You are an idiot if you think I will listen to you."

"Omega come back here. Don't you dare walk out of me. I said come here this minute."

I quickly stood up with my hands on my hair.

I'm doomed.

What the hell made me talk to him like that. What if he revenges because I was rude. I'm done for. I knew he will surely not let me go for walking out of him. What will I do now? How will I avoid him? Or should I just apologize to him. I just didn't know what to do. I put my face on my bed and let out a scream of frustration.

"Rosie are you okay?"

I raised my head to see Maria looking at me. I didn't notice when she entered my room.

"Yes I'm fine. Why are you here?"

I asked her.

"I heard you scream so I rushed to check if you were fine." she said.

I totally forgot that she would be able to hear everything thanks to our hearing abilities.

"Dont't worry about me. I was only having fun." I lied.

"Alright, Smith is on his way here. He just called me." she said.

If Smith was coming does that mean he was also coming too? I need to leave here. I can't afford to meet him.

"Rosie are you even listening to me?" I heard Maria say.

"Oh sorry what was that?" I asked maybe I missed something she said.

"You didn't say a word when I said Smith was coming over. Is there something wrong?" she asked.

I let out a smile.

"Don't mind me. I was thinking about something that is not necessary. Well I need to go for a walk. I will be back soon." I said as I jumped down from my bed and rushed out of the house.

I walked around. I had no way to go too and there was no way I could go back to my house.

As I was walking around, I breath in the clean air that relaxed my soul. I greeted those who I saw on the road. I admired those who were complete families walking together. I walked to the pack as I sat down to rest. I decided to just stay here and relax for a while. I sat down enjoying the view when I suddenly remembered the stranger I met last night. I couldn't stop myself from smiling. I don't think I will ever forget about him. How can I forget such a man who is not only gentle but also handsome. Although he wasn't as handsome as Evans.

Wait a minute why will I compare him to arrogant jerk. He and arrogant jerk are two different people. The stranger I met last night was very handsome and he was caring and gentle. But that arrogant jerk is nothing like that. He was a bully and he was so annoying. He didn't know how to take care of other people's feelings.

I wish I could see that handsome stranger again and maybe ask him of his name next time we see.

"Can you stop thinking about him like that when you know his not your mate." Sun said.

Guess someone has woken up.

"Morning to you too Sun. Hope you slept well?" I asked her smiling.

Now I don't feel alone because she's here with me. At least I can talk to her.

"Slept well you say? How will I sleep well when you decided to get your self drunk. I wonder what you humans derive in drinking something that will make you have a headache and change your normal way of thinking." she said.

Yup mummy Sun has woken up. I'm not going to rest from her lectures. Trust me it can be frustrating at times as she goes on and on about what I should do that is right and what I shouldn't do that is wrong. Sometimes she scolds me as if she my mother and I'm her child. Maybe she's trying to practice being a mother with me before she gets a pup.

"Well I didn't know it will end up like that. I thought just having a glass or two will do." I said trying to defend myself.

"Can you hear yourself? Because of your foolishness, you are out here running away from the problems which you have caused upon yourself." she said rolling her eyes.

"You don't have to remind about that. Can't you see I'm trying to think on how to get out of it?" I said to her.

"Last I checked your weren't thinking about how to get out of your problems, you were thinking about the stranger you saw last night." she said rolling her eyes.

I laughed. She does have a point. Instead of thinking about what to do with that arrogant jerk, I was thinking about that handsome stranger.

"Well don't blame me. I'm human remember." I said to her.

"You humans are very complicated. I can't seems to understand you people." Sun said.

"Whatever you say." I said smiling.

"Well what are you going to do about him?" sun asked.

"Well face him head on. I don't care what he says. It's not my fault I answered him that manner. He should have learnt to mind his business after all he rejected me and doesn't want to have anything to do with me. So me being with another man is non of his business. Besides he use to walk with Juliet too yet I haven't said a word to him. Infact now that I think about it, there is no need to hide from him." I said standing up.

"Well I must say you are actually right. He has no right to treat you like that. He can't stop you from seeing someone when he doesn't want to have anything to do with you." Sun said.

Wow I never expected her to agree with me. That's new.

"But will you be okay with it? I mean me seeing someone." I asked her.

"I don't have any other choice, your happiness is my happiness and it's not like you are at fault." she said.

I smiled at her. She sure understands best. She is the best wolf.

"Lets go home and face him head on." I said feeling so bold.

I can do this.
