MARIA POV

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

"Rosie please open the door. You have been in your room all day and you haven't eaten anything yet. Please open the door." I begged her as I kept knocking her door over and over again. I can't remember how many times I have knocked but all the times I have knocked, she never opened up or even make a sound. Her room was dead silent like there was no one there but from her scent, I knew she was actually there.

"Rosie please can you just say something so I would know you are fine please. I hate the way your silent. Please speak up so I can hear you and be assured your still alive." I said to her.

I had a thud like something was dropped. After that nothing else. She didn't say a word or do anything else. Well maybe that was her way of informing me that she was alive.

I let out a sigh. Well I think I should go and rest a little before coming back to knock again.

I went to the living room and laid on the couch.

Since last night I could sense something bad was wrong with my friend. She was in serious pains last night I could tell. And the fact that she had a forceful shift is something to be concerned about.

We were all happy and I can remember so well that no one said anything hurtful to her to break her heart or make her feel this hurt so I wonder what exactly could be the problem because I don't understand why she is behaving this way.

I won't lie, I was truly worried for my friend. Ever since I knew her, I have never seen her act this way where she will raise her voice on any one of us who are her friends or even ignore us all day. Right now it's almost evening time and she is still locked up in her room. I'm so worried.

I heard a knock on the door. I stood up and went to up the door to see who was there. I wasn't surprised when I opened the door and saw Angel standing outside.

"Hey come in." I said to her.

"Anything? Have she opened the door?" Angel asked as she walked into the house.

"No. Nothing yet. Infact I'm so scared for her health. She hasn't eaten anything since last night and she is refusing to talk. She only throws things so I would know she's still alive. What do we do about her?" I asked her.

"This is getting so serious that it looks. I will go up and see if I can get her to open up."

"Best of luck on that. I just hope you succeed." I said to her as I sat on the couch and watched her walk to Rosie's room.

I heard her knock continuously. She talked and begged but all was in vain.

She got angry and began to shout threatening Rosie to open the door or she will see the other side of her and so on and so forth. The threats were so much that even I was scared of Angel.

But Rosie didn't open the door at all.

Angel finally gave up and came and joined me.

"I honestly don't know what to do with her anymore." she said.

"Maybe we should give her some space alone." I said to her.

"I don't feel like leaving her alone. Why I left earlier is because I was sure you were here with her. The truth is my wolf and I are worried for her. You know what, ever since we first saw her, we felt this strong connection to her and we felt the urge to always want to protect her always. Up till now it feels so weird because my wolf is always attracted to her. When I was having a discussion with Nate's mother, she said that she and her wolf felt attracted to only one person and that's the Luna because she was the gamma female. But Rosie isn't the Luna so I honestly don't get why I feel such way for her." Angel said.

"I get where you are coming from. But I feel like maybe your wolf just loves her like mine does. Rosie is a loveable person that's a fact so maybe that's why." I said to her.

"Well I just hope she get over whatever is bothering her and come back to us because I'm truly worried. She looked so different when she returned yesterday. It was like she was possessed by someone."

"I was scared when I saw the way she looked when she entered too." I said to her honestly.

"Well let's cook something and at least keep it at her room door. When she is ready she can open the door and carry the food. I just want her to eat. It's not good to starve." Angel said.

"I also don't like it. To starve isn't the best. I have experience and honestly I don't want to ever starve again." I said to her as I tired to push back my past memories. Now is not the time to remember them. "Lets go then to the kitchen. I think the boys will soon be back from the alpha's house." Angel said.

I stood up and we went to prepare something.

We began to cook french fries with sandwich. What we are not professional cooks like Rosie so we tired.

When we were done, we arranged them on a plate and covered it neatly. Then we put the plates on a tray which we carried to Rosie's door. We dropped it on the floor with the tray.

"Rosie we dropped you something to eat. Please stand up and eat. Promise we won't disturb you or anything just open the door and pick your food please." Angel said.

We stood for some minutes when we didn't hear anything from inside her room, we left hoping the aroma will make her open the door.

We went back to the living room and sat down on the couch again. No one said a word to the other as we all had our minds somewhere else.

Someone knocked the door before entering.

From the scent I calm down immediately. My mate was finally here. I raised my head and watched him walk to where I was sitting before he sat down next to me. He held my hand and his touch was what I needed to cool down a little from all the anxiousness I was feeling. "You girls don't look so good. Is she still in her room?" Nate asked looking worried.

"Yes babe. We have tired everything we can to make her open the door but she has refused to. We also prepared something for her to eat but she is yet to open her door. I'm so worried and scared for her. What if she is hurting herself in there and we can't save her? What if...." Smith interrupted Angel thankfully because I was already getting scared with her ifs.

"Angel you need to calm down. I'm sure nothing is going to happen to her. She will open up soon so relax your mind." he said to her as he caress my hand gently.

"His right babe. Just don't be scared I'm sure nothing will happen to her." Nate said.

Nate and Angel began to talk to each other.

I decided to talk to my mate too.

"How did your day go?" I asked him.

"Well stressful I will say. We first went to get Evans who didn't look so good too. It's like everyone I know are just in one mood or the other. First it was Rosie now Evans. Infact he was so on the edge. He didn't talk much and he always spaced out. The meeting we went for was so long and stressful but you could tell his attention was not on it. Even the alpha noticed and when he asked him, Evans reply was he was fine whereas he wasn't."

Hmmm that's interesting. What's actually going on? Who is next now?

"Well what about your day? I hope Rosie didn't stress you out and hope you are not thinking too much about her?" he asked me.

"You know very well that I have to think too much about her. She's my friend and I can't help but feel worried for her. I just hope she opens her door soon. That's the only thing I hope for." I said to him slowly. "Don't worry she will. I'm here now don't be worried." he said as he pulled me to lay head on his shoulder.

I took a deep breath taking in his scent as I began to calm down.

We stayed like that not saying anything as Angel and Nate were talking about somethings. Well it was actually Angel who was doing most of the talking while Nate responded to her once in a while. Suddenly we heard a door open and a loud thud.

We jumped up from the couch and rushed to where the sound was coming from.

My eyes went wide and my heart dropped when I saw Rosie laying on the floor with her eyes closed.

I quickly rushed to her. I was the first to reach her side.

"Rosie.... Rosie... hey wake up. Why is your eyes closed? Stop this and open your eyes please." I said to her as tears were gathering my face. She didn't open her eyes at all. She eyes remained closed. She didn't look good at all. She looked so pale and her lips were purple.

I checked her hand for a pulse and I was relieved when I felt one although it was so weak.

"Quick we need to take her to the hospital immediately. We don't have time or we will lose her." I said to Nate, Smith and Angel.

Smith quickly carried her as Nate went out to maybe get the car.

Smith ran outside with her while Angel and I ran behind him. I closed the door and entered the car as Nate quickly drove in a very full speed to the hospital.

I felt so scared and nervous.

I just hope nothing happens to Rosie. I closed my eyes and made a silent prayer.

"Please moon goodness don't let anything bad happen to my friend.

Please."
