Chapter 67

EVANS POV

I stood there not knowing what to do with this girl. I never knew she was so stubborn. I almost thought it was her wolf that just spoke and left but I confirmed it was still her when her eyes were still emerald before she turned her back at me. I stood there thinking whether to follow her and talk more sense into her or I should just leave her. I decided to let her be for now but I will still address the issue again.

I'm not jealous or anything but I seriously hated it when that f*****g a*****e was smiling at Rosie and she had the guts to smile back at him. I can't shake off the feelings I get when I saw him. There is something about him that I can't place a finger on but it's not a good sign.

I need to see my dad. I just hope he listens to me and not ignore me like my precious mother.

I hopped on my bike and drove out of the forest. My mind drifted to Ros... I mean the Omega girl. I didn't see her on my way out so I'm guessing she has either left or she's still walking around because I'm very sure she can be able to replace her way out.

I arrived home and packed my bike before rushing to my dad's office. I knocked the door and waited till he said I should come in. I stayed there for more than five minutes but I didn't hear anything from inside. I knew he was inside because of his scent and I'm very sure he knew who was knocking but he didn't say a word. Just when I was about to turn and leave I heard the come in.

I opened the door and saw him sitting alone in the office. His nose was buried under some papers as his eyes never left it to even look up at me.

"What is it you what?" he asked me in a harsh tone.

Now I know that I have to be very careful of what I'm going to say.

"Sorry to disturb dad but I came to talk to you about something important." I said to him.

"And what is that?" he asked not even raising his head to look at me.

Wait a minute, did I forget to mention to him that it was important? No wait I actually said it. But why is he acting like it's not?

Well let's me just get straight to the matter maybe that's the only time he will look at me.

I cleared my throat.

"There is this new student that just joined our school and I was wondering if you authorized that he can join our pack?"

"And what's his name?" my dad asked.

"Drew Napoleon." I answered.

"Yes I did. Do you have any problem with that?" he asked sternly.

"No not at all." I said quickly. Didn't want him to feel I was questioning his authority.

"Just that I can't shake the feeling about him that there is something weird about him." I added.

"Do you have any evidence to back up what you just said?"

"No sir but...."

"But nothing. It seems like you have nothing so important to talk about. Now leave and don't bother me again as you can see I'm busy. " he said.

I was so speechless. He didn't even listen to me. Is this how his going to treat me? Like a nobody? What did I do to deserve all this maltreatment and humiliation.

"Lemme ring a bell into your ears. You f*****g rejected our mate and treated her like a nobody. Now have a taste of your own poison." Axel said to me.

"Oh I missed you so much." I said to him quickly before he blocks me.

Although what he said went deep, I couldn't stop myself from smiling. I missed my sarcastic wolf so much. I can't wait to have him back. I feel so lonely without him.

The door opened and I was surprised to see my father who hasn't raised his head ever since I entered, raise his head with a bright smile on his face. Even from his eyes you could tell he was happy.

I didn't need to turn to know that it was my mother who just entered. Her scent was all over and it comforted me in some way.

"My Bella what are you doing here? Do you need anything?" he asked her in a sweet tone that was so different from how he spoke to me.

"I wanted to know if you need me to help you." my mother answered before she walked to him and sat on his laps.

The both of them began to talk to each other forgetting that I was standing right there in front of them. It was like they were in their own world.

I quietly excused myself and left the office. I'm not of any use to them so it's better I leave and give them their privacy.

"But be honest with me Evans, don't you want the kind of relationship your parents have?" Axel asked as I was walking to my room. I was surprised his yet to block me.

To answer his question, I thought so hard about it. Do I really wanted the kind of relationship my parents have together? There was no day I will see my parents angry whenever they are together. They are always happy to see each other and they love each other so much. They are always there for each other and they are a strong pillar for one another. I have seen cases when my father was struggling with work and immediately my mother steps in, he will be able to solve it quickly.

I actually want the type of their relationship.

"If you want the type of their relationship, know that you can only replace it with Rosie and no one else. Only she can make us so happy like the way your dad is happy anytime he sees her." Axel said.

I didn't say a word to him as I tried to let his words sink in.

Could I really be happy with her? She is an Omega, will she be able to help me out with any struggle I face when she's weak? Will I still be strong with her being my mate?

I decided to replace the answers to my questions. If I'm able to replace them all, I will consider accepting her.

I entered my room and closed the door behind me. I removed my shoes and just laid on my bed.

Her scent was everywhere on my bedsheets. I totally forgot that she slept on my bed last night.

My mind went back to what happened last night. I really thought she was in danger when I felt so uneasy inside me. I couldn't stop myself from running to meet her.

Thinking about it, I think I understand what my mother meant. Last night, I could tell she was having a nightmare and I'm sure it had to do with her past because the way she hugged me when I woke her said it all. When she hugged me, I felt something I have never felt before. I felt so warm inside me. I couldn't understand what exactly happened but that was what I was feeling.

I quickly cleared my head because the thoughts alone is making me feel erm I can't explain what I'm feeling right now.

I wonder what that Omega girl has done to me. I can't fall to her trap. I have to stand strong.

But thinking about her, isn't it time for her to return back already? I thought.

Oh well I'm sure she's fine wherever she is.

I closed my eyes and allowed sleep to take me away. I needed a nap from not sleeping well last night.

I was dreaming that my mum, my dad and I were having a picnic in a beautiful garden. We were all talking and laughing. We looked so happy. We were about to do a group hug when I felt my body shaking.

Was it an earthquake?

"Evans open your eyes. How can you be asleep right now?" my mother's voice echoed in my head.

I opened my eyes to see a different vision of my mother from the one I saw in my dreams. The one I saw in my dreams was smiling and laughing but the woman standing in front of me who looked just like my mother was frowning and glaring at me. "Stand up and tell me where is Rosie." she said.

For a minute I was confused then I sat up quickly.

"What do you mean by where is Rosie, isn't she back?" I asked.

"If she is back do you think we will be having this conversation? You both went out together why didn't you come back together?" she asked me.

"She left before me. She said she needed some time alone." I said although it's half the truth but I can't get my mother more angry at me.

"Stand up this instant and go look for her. Don't come back to this house until you have found her and you are returning home with her." my mother ordered.

I quickly stood up and grabbed my bike keys before leaving the room. I rushed outside and was surprised to see everywhere was dark. No wonder my mother was so angry. I couldn't help but feel worried where she could be. Or was she lost in the forest? I quickly drove my bike into the forest and looked everywhere for her. I had to use my bike because I couldn't shift because one Axel won't let me and two because I didn't carry extra clothes.

I couldn't replace her in the forest so I drove to her house. I knocked and knocked but still nothing. She wasn't there because the house was looking so dark inside.

I went to Nate's house and asked for her but they said they didn't see her. I was getting so worried when I rushed to Smith's house. I asked and it was the same thing; they didn't see her.

I was so confused and didn't know where to go to again.

Maria followed me out and told me to go to the restaurant she was walking at and check.

I quickly to rushed there. When I entered the restaurant, I let out a sigh of relief when I saw her sitting there laughing. I have finally found her.

But my blood boiled when I saw who sitting next to her.
