Chapter 70

ROSIE POV

I opened my eyes slowly when I felt nothing. I was surprised to see the rogues running away. I stood there confused not knowing what exactly was happening right now. Why are they all fleeing? I turned to look at Maria and Angel but they also looked just as confused like I was.

Smith and Nate rushed inside the house in their wolves form. They quickly shifted and rushed to their mates. I quickly turned my back against them. I can't look at their naked butts you know. My ears picked a sound of someone running towards the house. I smiled as I thought Evans was finally coming for me. He actually cares about me.

I kept on smiling as the footsteps ran closer and closer till the person entered the house.

My smile dropped when I saw who entered. I watched as he rushed to me and quickly hugged me. I felt nothing. No spark, nothing at all.

"Thank goodness you are alright. I panicked when I heard from a pack member that you were in danger. I'm happy it's nothing serious. Thank goodness."

Although he wasn't the person I was expecting, his words still touched me because it showed how much he cared about me and that was enough for me to smile again.

"I'm fine Drew. Surprisingly they didn't do anything. They just left." I said to him.

"They need to be caught before they go far." Drew said.

"Warriors are working on that. We can't allow them escape after coming in here." Smith said walking to us.

I noticed he was finally wearing some shorts.

"We need to replace out how they were able to make it into the pack and we need to tighten our security." Nate said making a point.

"I don't mean to be nosy or something but Rosie why isn't your mate here? He supposed to be by your side." Drew said raising a brow.

"Well I'm here now so can you move a little bit. Your standing too close to my mate and I don't like it."

My heart began to beat and Sun began to wag her tail when I heard his deep voice. I looked at him and noticed he was only wearing shorts looks like he shifted. His eyes were so dark.

Drew moved away from me with his hands up. I watched as Evans walked close to me with so much power radiating from him. I got confused because I have never seen him like this. I can tell that he actually looks so different. He doesn't look like the Evans I knew. He looks like a complete different person.

"That's because he is not Evans." Sun said drooling.

"Wait what the hell? If he is not Evans then who is he?" I asked confused by her statement and her behavior.

"Axel" she actually moaned out his name.

"What??" I asked with my eyes wide opened.

Eva.... Sorry I mean Axel stood in front of me. I looked at his eyes which were so different from the ones I knew. I could tell from his eyes that he was worried.

"Mate are you hurt? Did they hurt you in any way? Please tell me." he begged.

This wasn't Evans but Axel so I can act differently with him. Besides unlike his human, he shows how much he loves me and Sun.

"I'm fine Axel. Don't worry about me. They didn't harm me in any way so relax." I said smiling.

He let out a sigh of relief. He pulled me into his arms and hugged me sniffing my neck. I allowed him do whatever he wanted because I knew that my scent can calm him down.

"Hope you aren't mad I came late to check up on you? I didn't want those bastards to get away so I tried to catch them first so I can ask them some questions first before punishing them. But I was really scared something bad had happened to you so I rushed here immediately my back up came." he whispered into my ears.

"I'm not mad at all. Your here and that's all that matters although it was so terrifying." I said to him.

"Lets go home now. You need to rest." he said as he held my waist. I turned to look at my friends.

"I think we have to fix another day for our sleepover." I said to them.

"I also think that's better because there is no way I'm letting Maria out of my sight this night." Smith said looking so serious.

"But what about the door?" Maria asked softly.

"I will call someone to help put it back in order but Angel and I will spend the night at my parents house." Nate said.

"That is a good idea Nate. I was scared thinking you both will still stay here. It's better if you both sleep in your parents house." I said to them.

I turned to Drew.

"Drew thank you once again for coming to check up on me. I'm really grateful." I sincerely appreciated him.

"Its nothing Rosie. At least I'm at peace that you are fine. That's all that matters to me." he replied smiling.

Axel let out a low growl. I turned to look at him and was surprised to see him glaring at Drew with anger in his eyes. If looks could kill, I'm very sure Drew will be dead by now.

"She's fine now and she has me by her side so you can leave now or wait no, my mate and I will be leaving now." Axel said before leading me outside with his hand still on my waist.

As we were walking to the pack house, I decided to have a little chat with him. Who knows when Evans will come back. At least Axel company is better than his.

"Axel thank you for coming really you don't know how much it means to me." I said to him.

"You don't have to thank you mate. You are my mate and you matter alot to me. I was really scared when I heard you call for help. Heck we all were scared." he said.

"I feel so sorry for making the Alpha and Luna so scared." I said feeling so guilty.

"I didn't mean them. I meant Evans and I." Axel said laughing.

"Ohh" was all I could say because honestly I was speechless when I heard that. I don't get why I secretly liked what I just heard.

"Evans I trying to fight for control right now but before I give it to him, I will like to advice you about something. That guy Drew, please don't be too close to him. I don't like him and Evans also don't like him. I know Evans told you in a harsh way but please it's me begging right now. Don't be too close with him because I don't trust him at all."

I wonder why they both of them don't trust him. I see absolutely nothing wrong with Drew. He is a nice person. Maybe he is just being possessive that's all. But then I can tell him that. I just have to act like I have actually listened to what he had said.

I nodded my head. I noticed we have finally reached the house. We entered and immediately I stepped into the house, I was pulled to the living room and pushed to the couch. For someone like her, I can say the Luna is really a strong woman. The way she pushed me says it all.

"Are you okay Rosie? Hope you weren't hurt? Let me see your hands." she said as she checked me all over.

"Thank goodness I can't see any injures anywhere. Tell me what exactly happened." she said.

I told her what happened how we were dancing when the rogues interrupted us and I told her how the rogues ran away.

"Hmm that's strange. Why will they just show up and run away without doing anything. Don't you see it a bit strange Evans?" she asked.

I wanted to correct her and say it's not Evans but then his reply stopped me.

"Your right mum. It sure is so strange. We will replace answers when we question them. I'm sure they came with a motive because they don't seem to me as normal rogues."

From his voice I knew it was indeed Evans. He has gotten control back.

"Well I'm glad you are fine Rosie. Tell me, do you need anything." Luna Isabella asked me.

"No I'm fine. A little rest will be better." I answered her.

"Alright you can go to your room. Evans take her upstairs." she ordered.

I and Evans silently went to his room. I sat on the couch. I felt so annoyed because today was actually my turn to sleep on the couch but I was happy because thanks to the sleepover I won't sleep on it. Now here am I, back to what I was avoiding. Evans cleared his throat making me to turn to him.

"You can sleep on the bed. I won't be sleeping here because I have something to do." he said before leaving the room.

Though I was angry he didn't ask how I was doing or anything, I felt happy that I was not going to sleep on the couch. I quickly jumped on the bed and rolled on it.

My mind went to Evans.

I wondered what was the important thing he needed to do this night. Or was he going to interrogate the rogues?

My phone rang interrupting my thoughts. I picked it and saw it was Maria calling.

"Hey Maria. Are you home already?" I asked her.

"Yes I am how about you?" she asked me.

"Yes I just did. Are you okay Maria?"

"Well I was really scared earlier but now I feel safe. I just can't get what you did from my mind. Thank you for trying to protect us earlier but please don't ever jumped in front of any danger again. I was so scared when you pushed us and stood in front. If anything had happened to you I won't have known how to forgive myself." she said making me smile.

"Alright I won't do it again." I said to to.

"Fine then. Good night Rosie."

"Good night." I hanged up.

I dropped my phone on the bed and decided to sleep. I had a really long day.
