Chapter 72

ROSIE POV

I opened my eyes to see it was already morning. I sat up and stretched smiling. Today was a new day and I shouldn't let what happened last night bother me because it was in the past.

I looked around but didn't see Evans anyway. That means he didn't spend the night in this room. Oh well not like I care.

I went to the bathroom to freshen up for the day after that I dressed up and went downstairs. I first stopped at the kitchen then I saw the Luna cooking.

"Good morning Luna Isabella." I greeted her.

She looked up and when she saw me she smiled.

"Morning Rosie hope you slept well my dear?"

"I did. What are you preparing?" I asked her.

"Well some food. We were invited to a party in the neighboring pack. Well the party is like a cover up to talk about the rogues attack. It was an unplanned invitation which is very important and we must attend. Because of what happened last night, Bryan decided it's best if the alpha's gather together and replace a solution to getting rid of the rogues attack." she said.

"Oh okay. So is it only you and Alpha Bryan that are going?" I asked her.

"No my dear, Evans is coming too and so are you." she answered.

"WHAT??" I shouted before closing my mouth. I wonder why I shouted in the first place.

"Sorry for shouting like that Luna but I don't understand, why am I going together with you all?" I asked confused.

"You silly child. Have you forgotten you are the next Luna? You have to be present with Evans so the other alphas who we have alliance with can get to know you both and also you can learn from this trip before you officially become a Luna." she said. 'But I never signed up for this. I don't want to go anywhere. I don't want to learn anything. I don't want to be the Luna.'

All this I said only in my mind but I dare not open my mouth to say it out loud. The only thing I could do was to nod my head.

"We still have time so come help with the cooking preparation so we can be fast." she said.

I quickly joined her and helped out. I couldn't stop thinking about what will happen at the party. I was anxious about it. This is the first time I would be introduced officially as the Luna and it's not going to be in my pack.

For my official introduction in the pack, Alpha Bryan suggested it's best to do that when Evans and I have worked things out between us and have decided to accept each other. Though people already know about us but the official introduction is very important. We were able to finish preparing the food we will be taking to the neighboring pack. Luna Isabella informed me that she has already assigned someone to take the food ahead of us. I couldn't see the person she assigned because she sent me up to go get some few things that I will take with me to the neighboring pack.

She said we might come back late at night or maybe the next day, it depends on how long the meeting is going to take. So I should pack plus extra just incase.

I went to Evans room and when I entered, I was surprised to see him inside. He was laying down on the bed with his eyes closed.

It looks like he was tired and didn't have enough rest last night. So I decided to walk quietly and pack my stuffs quietly. I began to tiptoe to where my clothes where. I packed whatever I needed and packed them into the small bag I used yesterday for my ruined sleepover. Then I also picked some clothes which I would change to in the other room because I can't change in Evans room with him in here no way.

I turned slowly so I could tiptoe silently out of the room when my eyes locked with a Evans eyes startling me.

I jumped and quickly held my chest trying to calm my fast beating heart.

"You scared me for goodness sake. Why will you pretend like you were sleeping?" I said glaring at him angrily.

"I was actually sleeping but thanks to you, my sleep was interrupted." he said rolling his eyes as he sat up on the bed.

"What do you mean by I interrupted your sleeping? I was as silent as nothing. There is no way you will say you heard me when I walked in." I said.

"Well as a matter of fact, I did hear you when you walked in. I know sometimes I'm a heavy sleeper but sometimes also am not and today I chose not to be." he said. "Whatever you say but I am not going to apologize for waking you up." I said to him.

"Well I wasn't expecting that from you. I can see you have packed your stuffs already that means mum has told you everything." he said as he stood up from the bed. "Yes she did and trust me I'm not happy about it."

"Well you shouldn't complain because this meeting also has to do with your safety." he said as he walked to the bathroom.

"Wait a minute. What do you mean by that? Did you replace the reason why the rogues wanted to attack Maria, Angel and I last night?" I asked curiously.

He stopped first then he opened the bathroom and entered without answering my question.

What was his problem? And what does he mean by the meeting is for my safety? Or was he trying to generalize it that it was for the pack members safety?

I think that's what he actually meant.

I decided to leave the room. I rushed to the next room that was empty then quickly changed to a nice blue jeans trouser and long white shirt. I wore my black boots.

After I was done dressing, I went back to the front of Evans room door. I knocked to make sure he was still in the bathroom. When I got no answer and I could hear the water dropping, I opened the door and entered. I quickly placed the clothes that I removed in the laundry basket. I heard the water suddenly stopped pouring which means he was done. I quickly ran out of his room.

I went downstairs to see Luna Isabella and Alpha Bryan were ready. They were having their silent conversation when I entered the living room.

"Oh great I see you are ready. What about Evans?" Luna Isabella asked.

"He will be down soon. He was freshing up." I answered her.

I sat down with them and watched them as they continued acting all lovey dovey not caring that I was there. It didn't take so long before Evans came down wearing a black jeans and a black shirt giving him a sexy look. Rosie what are you saying? Calm yourself will you.

We left the house and Alpha Bryan and Luna Isabella entered a different car while Evans and I entered another car. Evans was the driver so I sat in front with him.

We began our journey to the next neighboring pack. I was a bit excited about the journey because I have never left the my pack so it's new to me.

I looked around and smiled when I saw how other environment were different from ours.

The ride took only forty five minutes before Evans packed his car.

"We have arrived." he said not looking at me.

I slowly came down from the car and noticed that the house in front of us was not as big as Alpha Bryan's house.

Well what am I even saying? I'm not here to compare.

I waited for Evans so we could walk together. Right now I need to stay beside him so I won't get lost. We followed Alpha Bryan and Luna Isabella behind as we all entered the house.

When we entered, I was surprised to see it was crowded with people. Some people on seeing us, they walked up to us and began to greet Alpha Bryan and Luna Isabella.

I didn't know what to do. I knew no one here. There was also no way I will stand with Alpha Bryan and Luna Isabella so the only option I have left is to go wherever Evans went. He was the only one I can stay with.

I followed him behind and he went to meet some other younger people who was his age. From the way he greeted them, I knew he knew them.

I stood like a shadow not saying a word as I watched them interact with each other. They didn't even notice my presence which was the best. I didn't want any attention.

I was still enjoying my alone time when someone finally noticed me.

"Wow I didn't notice this beauty that has been standing behind you Evans. Can you tell us who she is?" the person said smiling. From the way he spoke, I could tell he had an Alpha blood.

Evans turned to me and pulled me close to him with his hand on my waist catching me so unaware.

"Oh my bad. You guys meet my mate Rosie. Rosie meet my friends. We all attended Alpha academy together." he said.

Wow so I am standing right in front of alpha's. Just wow.

Also another wow, Evans introduced me to his friends as his mate. I thought he was ashamed of his friends replaceing out about me?

"Wow she is your mate? I never expected that. You really got a beautiful mate Evans you are one lucky guy." one of his friend said hitting his back.

I stood and watched Evans smiling.

"You can say that again. I sure am very lucky." I heard him say.

I had to hold myself from rolling my eyes at him. He is so full of pretense. Lucky my ass.

"So tell me Rosie, are you the daughter of the beta, gamma or warrior?" one of them asked smiling.

I looked at him with my face void of emotions. Now I know why Evans is so obsessed about a mate with status. I think that's what they were taught in Alpha academy. It makes clear sense when his friend asked such question. Well I'm not sad to disappoint him because am proud being an Omega and I don't care what they think of me.

I opened my mouth to speak when I heard someone let out a low growl. I turned to see it was actually coming from Evans whose angry eyes were fixed on someone.

I looked at the direction and saw who he was looking at. I let out a smile.

What is he doing here?
