Episode 34

LUCY’S POV :

I bit down hard on Ariana’s hand , before she had time to recover I pushed myself up and slammed the chair against her with so much force that she crashed against the wall , the knife from her hand flying halfway across the room .

I pushed myself backwards and crashed the chair against the wall , the wooden furniture immediately broke into tiny pieces , my eyes zeroed in on the knives on the table and I hastily gripped one and worked the knife on the rope . My hands were freed just in time to prepare for Ariana’s next advancement , catching her by surprise I grabbed one of the broken wooden pieces and smashed it against her head .

I didn’t wait for her to make any further attempts to harm me as I charged forward , tackling her as soon as she made her first attempt to get up . I grabbed her hair and slammed her head against the wall . Ariana touched her forehead in shock at the b***d trickling down her face .

“You f*****g b***h !” She screamed as she lunged for me . I dodged her attack , my outstretched foot tripping her as she fell to the ground flat on her face . She stayed there for a few seconds unmoving and when I thought she had given up the sly b***h grabbed my foot , totally surprising me . She pulled hard , causing me to lose my balance , totally shocking me she slammed her fist against my stomach and I dropped to the ground in pain . My eyes widened as I clutched my belly in fear of any harm coming to my baby .

Anger stirred in my veins , my b***d boiling as I turned to Ariana , giving her a death glare .

A strong force was growing within me and I could feel my wolf’s anger as she clawed at me to break free , she wanted to rip apart Ariana and I was going to let her . The b***h tried to hurt my baby and she was going to suffer for it .

I let out an angry cry that echoed throughout the room as I felt myself shift . Ariana followed right after , shifting into a reddish brown wolf .

My wolf watched her with angry alert eyes , as if examining her movements , waiting for her first strike . Ariana’s wolf growled and leaped forward , before she could even touch us , my wolf’s teeth came down hard on her foreleg , biting and pulling aggressively at it , the sound of bones cracking travelled throughout the room .

The wolf cried out and dropped to the floor in pain . My wolf stood tall , waiting , giving her a chance to get up and fight . After a few seconds she was on her feet again , this time limping as she growled violently at us .

Within seconds bodies were slamming against each other , teeth sinking into flesh and claws slashing against fur and flesh as we violently fought . After a few minutes of constantly going at it , both wolves stepped aside to catch their breaths , breathing heavily .

Finally , as if my wolf was saying ‘ that’s it , enough playing ‘ she let out a loud menacing growl and leaped into the air taking Ariana’s wolf down with her , they both crashed into the wall , the bricks crumbling to the floor as she took her straight out into the open .

Without giving her a chance to recover from the fall , my wolf pinned her down with so much power and force that she couldn’t even move an inch . My wolf’s teeth immediately sank down deep into the wolf’s neck at the exact same time her claws dug deep into her belly , not stopping until a ripping motion sounded throughout the forest .

The wolf’s desperate cries were like music to our ear , she had determined her own fate the moment she tried to harm my baby and this was the punishment she deserved .

The wolf’s cries continued to echo throughout the quiet forest as my wolf persisted to bite and rip her apart … it was only when the wolf was motionless beneath her did she stop with her merciless attack .

I released a satisfied sigh within me , one felt by my wolf as well . Ariana had inflicted so much pain upon me and finally I had gotten my revenge and it felt pretty damn good . All the pain and suffering she had put me through every God damn time I had to see her with Austin , all the pain she had me go through while making me think all this time that she was the one he wanted , that she was his mate . Finally , finally … I had gotten my revenge , not just for me but for both Austin and I .

The feeling was quickly replaced by panic and fear as I suddenly remembered the battle wasn’t finished yet , wasn’t even close to it . Austin , his family , his pack , they were all in danger and needed to be warned . I came to the conclusion however that even if I got there in time to let them know of Eric’s horrible plan , it still wouldn’t be enough . For Austin wouldn’t have time to assemble help from other packs , I searched my mind , desperate to replace some way to save them , some way to help .

And then it dawned on me , my brothers . They were the only ones I could think off to help in a situation like this . I’ve seen them fight before , they were extremely powerful and were trained for situations such as this , from everything I’ve learnt off the council and the lives they’d lived there , they would be off great help and could be just what Austin and his pack needed to defeat Eric and ruin his devious plans .

But there was also the prosecutor and that disgusting vampire , we had barely escaped from them before and here I was going right back within their grasps . But it was a risk I was willing to take , for the sake of Austin and the people he cared about … the people we cared about .

As soon as I’d made up my mind my wolf started in the direction of the council , she dashed through the woods , leaping over fallen trees and making her own path through the forest . The wind lashed against her fur with the speed in which she moved , desperate to get to our destination as fast as possible , she understood the gravity of the situation just as much as I did . Our vision blurred as the thought of losing Austin crossed my mind but I quickly pushed it out just as quickly as it had entered , I had to keep a positive mindset , I would reach my brothers in time and we would help save the packs , as I was sure James pack would also be involved in the fight .

My wolf continued to race through the woods , our thoughts aligned for we both wanted the same thing … to save the people we loved .

Maya… Lucas… James.. their parents …the packs and Austin . I still couldn’t believe the fact that we were mates or that he was under a spell , all this time we wasted where we could have been together . And now , I wasn’t even sure if I would ever see him again , for I didn’t know whether or not I would make it back in time , didn’t even know if I would be able to get out of the council this time . These thoughts only encouraged my wolf to move faster , her jumps and leaps even bigger than before .

We needed to protect them , couldn’t let Eric plans prosper . He already destroyed my family , I couldn’t let him destroy another . After everything that disgusting , greedy bastard did to us he had to suffer and I was going to make sure that he did .

I didn’t know how long we were running for but I felt a sense of relief as I neared the bridge that connected the land to the council’s island , my wolf crouched down and threw her head back before letting out a loud howl that pierced through the forest , shaking the trees around us. A howl so powerful that any wolf within miles would be able to hear it .

And I knew , I just knew … that my brothers would come . They would come , even if they had to rip apart the council to do so … they would .

And together , we would fight , fight to save the people we loved , fight to get revenge against the man that put us in this mess , we were going to destroy him until he wished he never did what he did to us .

Alpha Eric was going to SUFFER.
