The Alpha’s Feisty Mate -
Chapter 25: Big realization
Rogue Alpha Ryan POV
My patience has been wearing thinner every day that passes that Isabella isn’t in my possession.
I got in touch with my source from the Crescent Moon Pack. I found out that Alpha Drake has kept Isabella locked up in her room when she’s not in his presence. My mole couldn’t tell me the reason behind it but said that Isabella was not happy. My mole also said that Isabella plans on leaving Alpha Drake’s territory when she gets the opportunity.
Interesting, I thought to myself. I wonder why Alpha Drake is keeping her locked up? He might be making it easier for me to win her over when I get my hands on her. I thought to myself.
Well, if she wants to leave, I think we should help her out. I smiled mischievously to myself.
I ask my mole to figure out a way to free Isabella from her room at 1:00 am the following evening. I would ensure the rest was taken care of. I also needed to ensure there would be a distraction so the patrol didn’t catch Isabella before she left the territory.
‘I need you in my office, now.’ I mind-linked my new Beta, Derek.
‘On my way.’ He replied
A few minutes later, there was a knock at the door.
“Come in,” I said.
Derek entered my office and took a seat across from me. I replace him to be a little too comfortable with his new position. He really gets on my nerves.
“My mole at the Crescent Moon Pack is going to make sure that Isabella is freed from her room at 1:00 am. We need to have a team ready to distract the pack patrol so Isabella can make it off the territory.” I tell him.
“Once she’s off the territory, I want you to gather another team of rogues and bring her back to me. You better not disappoint me.” I tell him sternly, so my threat isn’t taken lightly.
“Yes Alpha, she will be in your possession soon. You have my word.” Derek said to me with a cocky smirk, like he thought it was going to be an easy task.
“Don’t understand her, Beta. She’s more capable than you think.” I tell him with a pointed look.
“I know her weaknesses, remember? I trained with her daily. She won’t be a problem.” He reassured me.
“If that’s all Alpha, I’ll go get the team ready,” Derek said.
“Yes, that’s all. Just make sure you mask your scents. We need to get in and out without alarm bells going off that we took her.” I tell him.
“Understood.” He said with a nod of his head before leaving my office.
Once he was gone, I leaned back in my chair and couldn’t help but get excited. I was finally going to get my hands on her. Once I do, I’m never letting her go.

Alpha Drake POV
I was woken up at around 2:00 am by the night patrol. They reported seeing what they thought was a rogue running on our territory. They said he looked like a rogue, but his scent was masked. They weren’t able to capture him.
I thought it was suspicious. Why would they mask their scent?
I got out of bed and went out to meet the patrol in person to see if maybe they missed anything, but I didn’t replace anything more than what they had already told me.
I made my way back to my room and thought about checking on Isabella but decided against it because of the time of night. I know damn well she won’t let me live it down if I woke her up. She’s a feisty little thing.
Once I made it to my room, I wasn’t able to fall back asleep. I tossed and turned, thinking about why a rogue would cross into my territory with its scent masked? That’s suspicious.
It was 5:00 am, and I decided to get up and get dressed since I couldn’t sleep. I made my way to Isabella’s room early. I figured getting her a little extra pissed off before training would only be more entertaining. I chuckled to myself, knowing she’s not a morning person.
I got to her door and noticed the door was unlocked. What the hell? I thought as I pushed the door open and stormed into her room. The bed was empty, and I started to panic. I ran to her ensuite, and she was not there either. Damn it, Isabella, where did you go?
‘I need you both in my office now,’ I practically yelled through the mind-link at my Beta and Gamma. They both answered that they would be there immediately.
I headed to my office, and I was fuming with rage. That stupid little she-wolf, what is she up to? She is going to be the death of me.
I got to my office at the same time as Erik and Jared. They both looked concerned. I opened my office door and we all walked in. I took my seat at the desk, and they took theirs on the opposite side.
“Isabella is gone,” I told them.
“What do you mean. How? I thought she was locked in her room?” Erik asked.
“She was, but the door was unlocked this morning, and she’s nowhere to be found,” I replied before continuing.
“Patrol woke me at 2:00 am advising they spotted a rogue on our territory with his scent masked. They never caught him, but I can’t help but feel it might be related somehow to Isabella disappearing.” I said while deep in thought.
“What do you want us to do, boss?” Jared asked.
“Talk with the night patrol, see if they heard or saw anything,” I told him. He just nodded in return.
“We need to get a team of warriors ready. I’m going after her,” I told them.
“Boss, do you really need to go? Can’t the warriors take care of it? Why are you so invested in her?” Jared questioned curiously.
I growled, “ Don’t you dare question my motives.” I said with a warning glare.
“Sorry, boss. It’s just unlike you.” He said, putting his hands up in surrender.
I left my office, and my Beta and Gamma followed. I need a team so we can move out immediately.
My stress is through the roof, Isabella can be reckless, and I know how much she needs revenge for her father’s death, but she’s literally going out there as a lone wolf trying to take out an entire pack of rogues. She doesn’t stand a chance. I need to replace her before it’s too late.
We got to the training grounds, and I picked twelve of my best warriors, including my best tracker, to search for Isabella with me.
Jared and Erik interview the warriors that were on patrol the night prior. We got no helpful information from the patrol members. They were all distracted by the scentless rogue running on our territory, so they didn’t notice anything else.
Things weren’t adding up. Was the rogue a coincident, or was it related to Isabella’s disappearance? Was she taken? I doubt that could have happened with me in the room next door. I would have heard something, and it’s not like she would have left willingly. I think there would have been more signs of a struggle in her room had she been taken.
Once my warriors were ready, we made our way to the border to try and track down Isabella’s scent.
I brought a shirt of Isabella’s so the tracker would have her scent and know what he’s looking for.
Once we were off my territory, I let the tracker do his job, and it didn’t take him long to pickup her scent. We followed the scent for hours until it led us to a riverfront.
I looked around with pure shock. It was a total s**t show. There were three dead rogues. It was clear there had been a fight. None of the rogues had any scent, which matched the description of my patrol warriors of the rogue that entered my territory.
What is going on here? I wondered.
I only got more worried. Did they kidnap her? Oh goddess, please no. I can’t even imagine my life without her anymore. She infuriates me, but I love it. She challenges me like I’ve never been challenged before. I need her in my life. Oh my goddess, the realization hit me. I love her.
I growled out loud. “We need to replace her,” I said to no one in particular.
“Boss, this rogue over here has silver cuff marks on his wrists like he was cuffed to the tree before he died. He also looks like he was tortured.” One of my warriors reported to me, and I looked over the rogue’s body. He’s right. The rogue had been tortured. Did she do this? I couldn’t help but feel proud at the thought that this was all her doing.
None of my men recognized the rogues, and once we were done looking for anything that could help us with our search, we moved on.
The tracker did his job and picked up Isabella’s scent leaving the river. We followed it for miles before it suddenly stopped. Completely disappeared. Like she vanished in thin air.
Oh goddess, what happened to her? He’s my best tracker, and he can’t smell anything past this point. There were no other smells, just Isabella’s. I’ve got a really bad feeling about this.
My wolf was going crazy with rage. I couldn’t blame him. I was also losing my mind. I needed her. We needed to replace her and keep her safe. When I get her back, I’m never letting her go, she’s mine, and I don’t care what anyone thinks. I’m marking her. Everyone will know she’s mine, including her. I don’t even care. I’m so mad right now I’ll tie her to my bed if that’s what it takes, but she’s mine, and I’m going to claim her.
I rounded up my warriors and broke them off into three groups. We need to search the area and see if we can pick anything up that might help replace her.
The warriors did as they were told and went their own ways, searching for anything that might help.
While I was searching my area, I came across a dagger, and I recognized it immediately as one of Isabella’s. It was covered in b***d, but I was certain it wasn’t hers. I let out a small breath of relief.
Something happened here. I knew it. I felt uneasy and couldn’t help but think she was taken.
I sure hoped we weren’t too late. We needed to replace her and bring her home to me. I missed her. What was going on with me? I’d gone soft. I didn’t even care. I couldn’t think of anything else but her. I loved her. I needed her to be my Luna.
I would kill anyone that would harm her.
