Chapter 58: Battle field

Alpha Drake POV

When all the warriors arrived at our location, we got ready to move in.

We brought a total of thirty warriors with us, ten of my own men, plus Erik and I and the rest came from Alpha Declan’s pack.

“Listen up, we believe this is where Isabella is being held. We don’t know how many rogues are here, but they aren’t expecting us, let’s use that to our advantage.” I announced to the group.

“Let’s go replace her.” I said, finishing my announcement, before I shifted into my wolf and the warriors followed my lead.

I took off running in a full sprint towards the pack house and the warriors followed me.

When we reached the clearing, the pack house came into sight. I stopped abruptly, when I saw a large group of rogues out front, waiting. They must of been alerted of our arrival.

I saw a man standing in front of the group of rogue wolves and his eyes were locked on mine. I shifted back to my human form, while the rest of the warriors stayed in their wolf form. There were easily a hundred rogue wolves in front of us.

We approached slowly, until I was standing approximately fifty feet away.

“Where is, Isabella?” I asked, rage lacing my words.

“You can’t have her, she’s mine.” The man standing in front of me replied, his own anger clear in his tone. I think it’s safe to assume, that this man is the Rogue Alpha.

“She’s my fate mate, I’m not leaving without her.” I spat out, his face turned to shock, but it was quickly replaced with anger when the realization, sunk in.

“Attack!” Alpha Ryan commanded his army of rogues and they took off running in our direction.

I shifted back to my wolf form, getting ready for the battle that was about to go down.

I took of running towards the rogues and my warriors followed. I didn’t see where Alpha Ryan went, he disappeared in the sea of wolves charging towards us.

It didn’t take long before my warriors collided with the rogues and the battle began. Alpha Declan was at my side and I saw him fighting three rogues at once.

We might be outnumbered, but our strength and fighting skills clearly surpassed that of the rogues. Alpha Declan took no time neutralizing the three rogues and had already moved onto the next group.

I worked my way through the battle field. I wanted to go replace Isabella. I thought that they would likely be keeping her somewhere inside the pack house.

I spotted a rogue lunging at me in my peripheral vision, but before he could latch his jaws onto my neck, I moved out of the way. He fell to the ground beside me and I sunk my canines into his throat, killing him instantly. His body fell, lifelessly to the ground.

I continued to move towards the front of the pack house, when I spotted Alpha Ryan in his human form, he was walking into the house and he disappeared inside.

I was brought back to the battle, when another rogue had taken advantage of my distracted state and jumped on my back. He sunk his teeth into my shoulder. I felt the pain, but it only spiked my adrenaline and need to replace Isabella.

I threw myself backwards and landed on top of the rogue on the ground, he let go of my shoulder on impact.

I wasted no time and turned my body around, so that I was facing the rogue beneath me. He struggled to stand, but I didn’t let him. I gouged his abdomen with my claws and heard him yelp at the action. I quickly went for the kill and tore out his throat with my canines. I had no time to waste, I needed to get inside.

I continued moving forward, while quickly looking around. We were winning, the rogues didn’t stand a chance against my warriors.

I made it to the front doors and shifted into my human form, before running into the pack house.

Once inside, I paused for a moment to assess my surroundings, I saw no one inside. Where should I start searching for her?

I was distracted, when I heard a loud crash coming from upstairs.

I wasted no time and ran up the stairs.

I looked down the second floor hallway and it was empty. I waited a moment, hoping to hear something else, so that I could get an indication of where the noises were coming from.

Seconds later, I heard another crash, but it came from the third floor. I moved quickly and climbed the stairs, before reaching the third floor.

The hallway was empty, but I spotted a door half way down that was open and I could hear a commotion coming from within.

I ran to the door and looked inside. I was shocked when I found Isabella straddling a bloodied and unconscious Alpha Ryan on the floor, while administering blow after blow of punches to his face. I let out a breath of relief when I saw that she was still alive and appeared unharmed.

She was wearing a red thigh length nightgown and she looked smoking hot.

“Isabella.” I said, while walking towards her.

She stopped punching him and turned to look at me.

Her face was splattered in his b***d. I could see so much anger in her, she looked completely savage at that moment. It was a complete turn on, damn it she’s a fighter and she’s all mine.

Her face softened when she realized it was me. She stood up from Alpha Ryan’s body and ran toward me, jumping into my arms when she was close enough.

I caught her mid air and held her body, tightly. She had wrapped her legs around my waist and her arms around my neck. It felt so good to have her back in my arms.

So many emotions where running through my body, relief, disbelief, happiness and the strong desire for my mate.

“Let’s go home” I whispered into her ear.

Isabella POV

After Alpha Ryan left the room, I slipped out of the dress and into the nightgown. I didn’t want to piss him off when he returned.

I started pacing around the room, thinking about what I should do. The door was locked form the outside and it is made of solid wood, I wouldn’t be able to break it down, not without my wolf.

I was brought out of my thoughts when I heard voices outside and the words ‘attack’, it sounded like a full on battle coming from the front area of the pack house.

I ran to the window and could just barely make out wolves fighting towards the front of the front of the building.

My heart started thumping fast, did Alpha Drake come to for me? I couldn’t help the hopeful feeling that ran through my body.

My adrenaline was pumping, I heard foot steps approaching my door quickly, I was anxious waiting to see who it was, hoping that it might be Alpha Drake.

The door opened, it wasn’t Alpha Drake, it was Alpha Ryan and he had a panicked look on his face.

That’s when something clicked inside of me, pure rage pumped threw my veins, this was my chance and I wasn’t going to pass it up.

I lunge at Alpha Ryan, knocking him to the ground while I fell on top. I punched him in the face and heard the sickening sound of bones crunching.

He wasn’t expecting my attack and I used it to my advance, by moving fast. He tried to push me off of him, but I was holding on tightly to his torso with my legs straddling him.

He punched me in the face and all it did was fuel my adrenaline, I barely felt his blow. His action only helped me release the savage beast within.

I continued to punching his face, over and over again relentlessly, until I couldn’t even recognize him anymore. His face was covered in b***d, he laid beneath me unconscious. I didn’t stop, I wanted him dead. I kept punching, until I heard a voice come from behind me.

“Isabella” Alpha Drake spoke, bring me out of murderous state.

I stopped punching Alpha Ryan and turned around, my eyes locked with Alpha Drake’s. I could see the relief within his eyes.

I stood up and without even thinking, i ran to him. I wrapped my legs around his waist and my arms around his neck, embracing him tightly.

He was completely naked and I couldn’t care less. I wanted to feel all of him. I felt pleasurable volts of electricity running through my body at the skin to skin contact, it was so intense, it lite a fire within me, of pure desire for my mate.

I felt relief and happiness flooding my body, I never want to let him go. I longed for him and now he was all mine.

“Let’s go home.” He whispered into my ear, I couldn’t help the smile form on my lips at his words. Despite everything I did to him, he still wants me.

I was lost in the moment, I didn’t realize that my brother Declan and Erik were standing in the doorway, watching us. They both were covered in b***d, but it didn’t appear to be theirs. They were smiling at me. I smiled back, as I got out of Alpha Drakes arms and ran to embrace my brother.

“Let’s get out of here.” Alpha Declan said, while releasing me from his hold.

“Wait, there’s someone else I need to replace.” I said, as Lilly’s face popped into my head.

“Who?” Alpha Drake asked, while he put on a pair of shorts that Erik had handed him.

“Come on, she should be down stairs. She’s a prisoner here too.” I said, while running out of the room and down the stairs.

“I’ll go with her, you guys stay and make sure the Rogue Alpha is restrained with silver. We will bring him back with us.” Alpha Drake said, while glancing between Alpha Declan and Erik. They both nodded and Alpha Drake followed me downstairs.

Once in the basement I started opening doors, frantically looking for Lilly. I came to a door that was locked. Alpha Drake walked up behind me.

“Move back.” Is all he said and I complied, before his boot made contact with the door, knocking it down.

It was a small room, maybe five feet by seven feet. There was an old dirty mattress on the floor and a bucket in the corner, nothing else was in the room. Except for Lilly, who I found cowering in the corner, curled up in a ball, trembling with fear.

“Lilly, it’s me.” I said softly while approaching her. She lifted her head and her eyes locked with mine. I saw the relief within them, when she saw me.

I wrapped my arms around her tiny body and lifted her from the ground.

“Your safe now, I promise.” I told her softly while she sobbed in my arms.

I helped her walk out of the room and up the stairs towards the front doors.

As we open the doors and started walking outside. I felt Lilly’s body stop and go still. I looked at her and saw the shocked look on her face, her eyes went wide as she stare straight ahead.

One word left her lips.

“Mate”
