The Alpha’s Feisty Mate
Chapter 71: Don’t mention the note

Alpha Drake POV

After training, we all headed to the dinner hall and had some lunch. There seemed to be a little less animosity between Isabella and Trish, it made me happy and I could see the relief on Erik’s face as well.

They’re both such strong and stubborn females, they could do some serious damage if they teamed up, instead of fighting each other.

After lunch, I headed to my office with Erik and Jared to talk pack business. I also wanted a chance to ask Erik, how things were going with his mate.

We left Trish, in the hands of Clair and Isabella, hopefully they all come out in one piece, at the end of the day.

Once in my office I sat behind my desk and Erik and Jared sat across from me.

“So, how was last night with your mate?” I asked Erik, curiously. I could see the same curiosity in Jared’s eyes. Erik let out a deep sigh, before answering.

“Remember that time, I said I didn’t really want a mate? I was worried that she wouldn’t be able to keep up with my s****l appetite?” He said and paused for a minute, while both Jared and I nodded our heads.

“Well, let’s just say, I was wrong. I swear, she’s a nymph, she was ready to go all night. My d**k is seriously raw, from her savaging me over and over. If this continues, I’ll be the one who can’t keep up with her. I swear, we got maybe an hour sleep all night.” Erik finished, with wide eyes, while glancing between Jared and I.

I couldn’t help it, I bursted out laughing and I saw, that when Jared processed what he had just heard, he did the same. That was not what I was expecting Erik to tell us. I was sure, that he would of been couch bound for a while.

“Holy s**t buddy, that was not what I was expecting.” I blurted out between fits of laughter.

“Trust me, I wasn’t either, I was collecting bedding, ready to sleep on the couch, when she practically rapped me. Ok, maybe rape is a little exaggerated, but she’s aggressive. I was definitely the pray and she hunted me down like a skilled predator.” Erik said, while shaking his head in disbelief and letting out a chuckle.

My laughter grew louder at his words, but once the laughter subsided, I was really happy to hear, that she was warming up to him. This is good, I think she’s going to be a good addition to our pack.

“I’m happy for ya brother. She’s perfect for you.” I said to Erik, truthfully.

“Thanks, I hope she accepts me, she won’t let me mark her yet.” He replied, sounding a little disappointed.

“She will, just be patient with her.” I suggest and he nodded back to me.

“Now, let’s get back to business. I want to organize a joining ceremony for both, Isabella and Trish. It will be in two days and Isabella’s Luna ceremony, will be held right after.” I informed Jared and Erik. They both nodded but I could see the excitement in Erik’s eyes. I don’t blame him, I’m also excited to finally have Isabella apart of my pack and better yet, make her the official Luna. She is going to be amazing. My pack members, already have a tone of respect for her, she continues to prove just how amazing she is, every single day.

“What are you thinking for security, boss?” Jared asked.

“Well, given that the Rogue Alpha is still out there and a threat to my Luna, I want extra patrol on duty that night.” I stated, while glancing between Jared and Erik.

“Yes boss.” They both replied, in unison.

“I would suggest you inform Trish right away, make sure it’s not a big surprise to her.” I told Erik. Knowing from experience, that keeping things from your mate only ends badly.

“Ok, I’ll make the arrangements for the ceremony and you guys make sure the patrol schedule is in order for the day.” I said to both of them.

“We’re on it.” Jared said, as he stood with Erik and they both left my office.

I can’t wait to make Isabella my Luna, I smiled at the thought.

Isabella POV

After the guys left, it was a little awkward, there was only me, Clair and Trish left at the table. It was silent for the first few minutes, I decided to brake it.

“You guys feel like going for a run? It’s still early, Clair and I don’t have to be at the teen training, until 3:00pm, so we have time to kill.” I asked and glanced between Trish and Clair. I figured in wolf form we wouldn’t have to talk, so it would be less awkward.

“Ya, I haven’t shifted since I got here, my wolf is driving me crazy. I would love to let her out.” Trish replied, sounding almost excited at the idea.

“Ya I’m down, let’s do it” Clair also replied, with a big smile.

We headed out of the pack house and to the tree line, where we stripped out of our clothes and into our wolves.

I could see Trish taking in my wolf form, I was doing the same.

Her wolf was also white, but had light beige patches all over, one of the patches was over her right eye and it was cute, made her look like she was wearing a pirate patch.

Once we were done checking each other out, I took off running through the trees and Clair and Trish followed.

Trish was pretty fast, she passed me at one point and I couldn’t let that happen, I pushed myself harder and took back the lead easily. I knew she was pushing herself to the limits, trying to out run me, but she couldn’t, I was way too fast. I dominated the race.

I was so lost in the race with Trish, I didn’t notice that Clair was no longer behind us.

I stopped abruptly, when I noticed and looked back to see if she would show up, but she didn’t.

I started to get worried, where is she?

Trish, had stopped with me and I could tell, she knew what was going through my mind.

We started to make our way back, towards where we had come from, hoping we would replace Clair.

After a few minutes, I picked up the smell of copper. I looked at Trish and knew she smelt it too. She looked on high alert.

We started following the smell and it lead us towards the border, the closer we got, the stronger the smell became and I realized, the smell was b***d and lots of it.

My heart was racing and panic set in. Please, let Clair be ok, I silently prayed to the Moon Goddess. We should of never run off from her. I wish I could mind-link her right now.

We reach the border and there she was, Clair, in human form, standing in front of a tree looking towards it. I let out a breath of relief, when I saw that she was unharmed.

As I got closer, I saw what she was looking at. One of our patrol members, John, was dead, pinned to the tree with a long machete through his heart. A whimper left my lips at the sight. Not again, I thought to myself.

I shifted to my human form and Trish did the same. We stood beside Clair and were all looking at John’s dead body.

There was a note attached to the end of the machete that read;

“This isn’t over, I’ll keep killing your people, until Isabella is by my side.”

Damn it, the Rogue Alpha just won’t give up. What are we going to do.

“What does this mean?” Trish asked, with a concerned frown.

“There’s a Rogue Alpha, his name is Ryan. He has formed a pack of rogues and is hell bent on taking me as his chosen mate.” I replied honestly, without taking my eyes off the note.

“Holy s**t. What are we going to do?” Trish asked. I glanced over at her and her eyes were wide, I could see the shock and concern within them.

“I kill him, before he kills anymore of my people.” I replied, with a angry and determined tone.

“Just so you know, I mind-linked Alpha Drake as soon as I found the body. He’ll be here shortly.” Clair said, glancing between the two of us.

“I need to do something, the Rogue Alpha won’t leave me alone until I do, I won’t let anyone else die because of me.” I said with a deep frown, thinking over my options.

“What do you have in mind?” Trish asked, with a curious look and one eyebrow raised.

“I’m not sure yet. Clair, did you tell Alpha Drake about the note?” I asked, I could see the concern and disapproval in Clair’s face, when she realized my intentions.

“No, but Isabella, I don’t think what your thinking, is a good idea.” Clair replied, with a concerned frown.

“Listen, if Drake let me be involved in hunting down the Rogue Alpha, I wouldn’t have to, but he won’t. He’s just going to treat me like a damsel in distress and lock me up in the pack house, while he goes out hunting for the Rogue Alpha himself, I won’t have that. This is my battle and I plan on ending it, once and for all.” I said, anger now lacing my words.

“Ok then, what are we going to do?” Trish asked, excitement clear in her eyes.

“Let me think about it, for now, not a word about this note.” I said, with a stern look.Trish was quick to nod in agreement. Clair hesitated for a second, but eventually nodded.

I grabbed the note and crumbled it up. I was still naked, so obviously couldn’t hide it on my body. I found a fallen tree that was hollowed out, approximately 50 feet away. I quickly shoved the note inside the tree and ran back to where Clair and Trish were standing.

Not even five minutes later, three wolves came into sight. I recognized them immediately, as Alpha Drake, Erik and Jared.

Alpha Drake growled, when he saw that we were all naked. Clearly not liking that Erik and Jared could see me.

They all shifted into their human forms and put on shorts, that they had carried with them. They also brought T-shirts and wasted no time handing them to us.

Why are mated, so overly possessive? I mean we’re werewolves, nudity is pretty common, I thought to myself, as I slipped in the T-shirt.

“Is this how you found him.” Alpha Drake asked pointed, while looking between the three of us. Trish and I nodded our heads right away. Clair, hesitated briefly, but luckily nodded right after us.

“Who would of done this, and why?” Jared asked, with a concerned frown.

“I don’t know, but it looks like a message. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the Rogue Alpha again. Yet, if it was him, he would of likely left another note, like the last time.” Alpha Drake replied, with his own frown, while deep in thought.

My heart started beating fast, I had to serious focus on calming myself down. I didn’t want him to get suspicious. I also shot Clair a pointed look, with a silent message for her to do the same.

Trish on the other hand, had the calm, cool, collected demeanour down pat. I was pleasantly surprised, that she wasn’t outing my lie.

I felt guilty lying to Alpha Drake, but I was confident if I told him about the note, history would repeat it’s self and I won’t let that happen.

The Rogue Alpha, is my problem and I’m personally going to kill him.
