Chapter 91: Take him into custody

Jill POV

After the rogue Alpha was killed and my brother saved me from being captured. Thomas and I, had no one left and no where to go. The entire pack of rogues, had been wiped out and my plans, completely ruined. All thanks to one b***h, Isabella.

To make matters worse, my plan had semi worked, I was now pregnant. But, living in the woods with no food or appropriate shelter, wasn’t exactly how things were suppose to go. I should be with Alpha Drake, where I belong. Not slumming like a rogue.

It had been a few weeks and I couldn’t take it anymore. I decided to replace a new man to seduce and manipulate. My brother was against the idea, he kept telling me to be patient and that he had a plan, but I couldn’t live like this any longer. I went against his orders one day, while he was out looking for food and I left him, to go and search for a better place to live.

I felt a little guilty doing it, but it was what’s best for me and the baby. I knew my brother was going to lose his mind, when he found out that I left.

I ended up, stumbling onto pack territory and to my pleasant surprise, the Alpha was an unmated sleaze ball, his name was Alpha Theo. Exactly what I need, I thought to myself. I can easily manipulate this one.

I put on the damsel in distress act and it worked like a charm. He had given me a room on his floor and in no time, I had made my way into his bed. He didn’t even care that I was pregnant, I had him under my spell, within the first week.

When I lied to Alpha Theo and told him that Alpha Drake was the father of my unborn baby, his face lit up, like it was the best news ever.

I was confused at first, but then he explained the animosity between him and Alpha Drake. I was starting to regret my decision of tell Alpha Theo. Now, Alpha Theo was dead set on revealing the news to Alpha Drake, in an attempt to ruin him.

It was too soon, I thought to myself. I need a proper plan, so that when Alpha Drake replaces out and requests a DNA test, I am prepared and have fake results ready to show him.

I don’t want to tell Alpha Theo the truth, that the Rogue Alpha is the father. If I told him that, he would throw me out, in a heart beat. Most packs hate rogues, they are seen as disgusting creatures and no one wants anything to do with them. I’ve really gotten myself into a mess.

Alpha Theo was heading to the Crescent Moon Pack. He said, that there was an Alpha meeting going on and he needed to be there. I was suspicious of him, he looked way to excited for this meeting. I told him, not to mention me or the pregnancy, that it would cause some major problems. He assured me that he wouldn’t, I still had a bad feeling in my gut.

When Alpha Theo returned. I realized, just how stupid he was. He didn’t listen to my request, no, instead he made a spectacle of my news and told Alpha Drake in front of everyone.

The only positive about the whole ordeal, is that Isabella was present when he revealed the news and storm out of the room, when she heard. Good, maybe she will leave him, then I could move back into his life. I internally smiled, at the thought. Goddess I hate that woman, she took everything from me. I would love nothing more, than to return the favour.

First, I need to deal with the current mess, that Alpha Theo has put me in. If only he knew, that Alpha Drake wasn’t actually the father, he wouldn’t of done what he did.

Just like I expected, Alpha Theo got a call from Alpha Drake, requesting a DNA test to prove that the baby is his. To make matters worse, he wants the test to be done by his own doctor and he wants to be present when it happens.

Great, how am going to get out of this mess. Alpha Drake is coming tomorrow, to conduct the test.

Alpha Theo, thinks this is the best thing ever. If only he knew the truth, he wouldn’t be so excited. He practically ruined all the hard work I put into my plan.

I didn’t want to have s*x with the Rogue Alpha, I endured it to get what I wanted, a baby. Now, my plan is being threatened, because some i***t Alpha can’t keep his mouth shut. I need to get out of this place, before Alpha Drake shows up.

If Alpha Theo replaces out that I lied, he won’t protect me against Alpha Drake and I will be imprisoned, if not worse. I can’t let that happen.

In the morning, I’m out of here. I should of listened to my brother and never left him. Look at the mess I’ve gotten myself into.

Alpha Drake POV

The next morning came, after a long sleepless night. I missed Isabella so badly. The bed felt cold and empty without her and I didn’t sleep at all, it was a horrible night. I hope, that today I can get the answers I need, so that Isabella comes home to me.

I got out of bed and quickly showered, before getting dressed in a pair of jeans and a black T-shirt.

Once I was dressed, I went down to my office to start making the arrangements for the day.

Erik had arranged, for twenty of our best warriors to attend with us. I also notified Doctor Erickson, that he would be coming as well.

We are leaving my territory in an hour and that hour couldn’t come fast enough. I just need to get this over with, so that we can move on with our lives.

I was brought back to reality, when there was a knock at the door.

“Come in” I announced.

The door opened, both Jared and Erik walked in, before sitting across from me.

“Hey boss, the vehicles are loaded and ready to go, so are the warriors. Anything else, you need me to prepare?” Erik asked.

“No, I think that’s it, just make sure the warriors are on high alert, when we go. Who knows what Alpha Theo might do.” I replied, with a frown.

“He only has 200 pack members and maybe 40 of those members are warriors. They aren’t nearly as strong as our warriors. I highly doubt, that he would try and fight us.” Erik replied, with his own frown.

“I know, but we can never be to prepared. He’s not a good leader, he wouldn’t think twice before sacrificing his men for his own pride.” I said.

“That’s true. Maybe we should leave now and arrive earlier then expected, to catch him off guard?” Erik suggested and honestly, I like the idea. Surprising Alpha Theo and at the same time, getting answers quicker. That sounds good to me.

“Ya, if the warriors are ready, let’s get out of here.” I replied, while standing from my chair.

I mind-linked Doctor Erickson and told him to meet us out front, because we were leaving early.

“Jared, we should be back by this evening, take care of things while I’m gone.” I said.

“Yes Boss, you got it. I hope you get the answers you’re looking for.” Jared replied, while patting me on the shoulder.

“Thanks.” I said and left the room with Erik.

We made our way out of the pack house and as promised, the vehicles were lined up and all the warriors were ready to go.

Doctor Erickson arrive and came up to Erik and I, as we were about to get into one of the SUV’s.

“Good morning Doctor. Thanks for coming with us today. Do you have the DNA kit?” I asked, while nodding at him.

“Good morning Alpha, it’s my pleasure and yes I brought two kits, incase we want to double check the results.” Doctor Erickson replied.

“Perfect, looks like we are ready to go.” I said and motion for the doctor to get into the backseat of the vehicle.

I got Into the passenger seat and Erik was the driver.

We drove in silence. I had so much on my mind, that I didn’t feel like talking much.

The drive took two hours and we were finally pulling up to the main gate of the High Mountain Pack.

The guard came up to Erik’s window and we informed him who we were. He looked, both surprise and concerned with our presence, specially since we had brought so many men. The guard asked for us to wait a minute, while he mind-linked his Alpha. My patience was wearing thin, he has exactly one minute, before we plow the gate down.

“Alpha, you’re allowed to enter with your Gamma and Doctor, but the rest stay h….” The guard tried to speak, but I quickly cut him off.

“My men are coming with me and if you try to stop me, we will kill each and everyone of you. Do you understand?” I replied, with so much venom in my voice. I could see the fear on the guards face.

“Yes Alpha.” The warrior said in a shaky voice, while quickly opening the gate for us.

We drove in and made it to the front of the pack house. It’s very small compared to mine, only three floors and it looks run down and poorly maintained. It doesn’t surprise me, Alpha Theo is a poor leader, who would want to work for him.

As we pulled up, I saw Alpha Theo standing by the front doors with a few of his men. He looks nervous and serious, I wasn’t expecting that. I was expecting his cocky and arrogant self. I wonder, what changed his demeanour from the last time I saw him.

I stepped out of the vehicle and made my way over to Alpha Theo with Erik.

“Where is she.” I spat out, not wanting to waste anytime.

“Alpha Drake, we have a problem.” Alpha Theo replied nervously.

“What kind of problem?” I growled out angrily and saw Alpha Theo flinch, at my venomous words.

“Jill, she took off while I was still sleeping this morning.” Alpha Theo blurted out.

“WHAT!” I shouted, rage boiling within me.

I turned to my men, who were now standing behind me.

“I want this pack house, surrounded and searched, every inch of it. No one leaves, until we replace Jill.” I ordered my men and they all nodded, before doing as they were told.

“Take Alpha Theo into custody.” I ordered, the two closest warriors.

“WHAT?! You can’t do that. I’m the Alpha here. Bret, Jack, get the warriors and fight.” Alpha Theo shouted out in desperation, as my warriors slapped cuffs on his wrists and took him into custody.

I watched the men, that were standing with him carefully. I’m assuming they are Bret and Jack, the men Alpha Theo had just commanded. Neither of them moved, at the command of their Alpha. I wasn’t surprised, we are probably doing them a favour, by taking away their Alpha.

“Alpha Drake, I’m Beta Bret, we will cooperate and help you anyway we can.” Beta Bret said and nodded his head. I could tell he was sincere, he must be the mate, of Alpha Thomas’s contact.

“Good, tell me everything you know about Jill.” I replied pointedly.

“She stubbled onto our territory a few weeks ago. She claimed to be two months pregnant, but she doesn’t look that far along. She was manipulating Alpha Theo, everyone could see it, but him. When he got back from the Alpha meeting, Jill started acting strange, she was nervous and seemed anxious. Then today, we found a bunch of things missing, including, money, jewelry, important pack documents and most importantly, Jill.” Beta Bret said.

“When did you notice her missing?” I asked.

“A couple hours ago.” Beta Bret replied.

“She was seen by your pack Doctor, right? Get him out here.” I ordered and Beta Bret’s eyes glazed over, I knew he was mind-linking someone.

“He’s on his way.” Beta Bret replied.

Five minutes later, the doctor came outside, looking nervous.

“Alpha. How can I help you?” The doctor asked.

“You assessed a pregnant woman, by the name of Jill. How far along, was her pregnancy.” I asked, trying to keep the desperation out of my voice.

“That’s confident information, between the doctor and pa…” he started to speak and I growled, silently warning him that I’m not playing around. He gulped before continuing.

“Sorry Alpha. She would be, five weeks pregnant today.” The doctor said nervously and I let out a breath of relief. It can’t be my baby, I was already with Isabella when she got pregnant.

“Thank you. I will need a copy of your assessment.” I said.

“I’ll go get it now.” The doctor replied, as he turned around and practically ran back into the pack house.

Several hours went by and all my warriors came back outside, form their assign search quadrants. No one was able to replace Jill. Damn it, how did she get away from us, again?! I was happy, that I got the answer I needed from the pack doctor, but I was pissed off that we didn’t catch Jill. I want to see her punished for everything she’s done to Isabella and I.

“Beta Bret, if you hear anything, I expect you to contact me immediately. Do you understand?” I asked, with a serious tone.

“Yes Alpha.” He replied.

“You will be filling in as Alpha of this pack, until the committee assigns a permanent one.” I said.

“Understood Alpha.” He replied, with a nod.

“Warriors, let’s get out of here.” I announced and my warriors started loading up into the waiting SUV’s.

We left the territory and headed home. I can’t wait to speak with Isabella. I hope this information is enough, to make her believe that Jill is not carrying my baby.
