Zane’s POV:

I know yall thought I was gone for good, but you can’t get rid of me that easy. That evil b***h set me and my men up , and she was going to pay. She knew Alpha Makahi was still at Crystal Moon. The b***h used me as a tactic to weaken them in the hopes of stopping him from coming for his pup or when he does come for his pups she would easily defeat him. “Alpha are you sure we should be doing this so soon after our fight at the Crystal Moon, we lost a lot of our men. I just think we should allow them to battle it out and we take out the winner while they are still weak from the battle ” My beta said, nervously. “Don’t worry I don’t plan to risk anymore of my men I just need to make sure the witch loses tonight and knows that it was me who did it. No one uses me, treat me like a fool, and get away with it. I’m glad I saved this little potion to create a portal to her realm. I paid one of her servants to steal a few bottles for me just in case. The only thing they wanted was money and freedom. If the witch loses tonight that servant plans to leave and disappear, and I have giving her the money to live comfortably for a while. She told me that you spray the wall and picture any room in the castle where you want to be, and it will create a portal. So, I pictured a basement. I knew she had one because I overheard her once talking about it. So here we are below the castle. “Alpha where are we? And what is that smell? Are we even in the castle?” My beta asked. I will admit it was complete dark down here and it smelled like death. “I just pictured a basement, and it brought us here, Maybe this is where she keeps her prisoners. If we come across any, we can see if they would pledge allegiance to me by b***d if we offer them freedom. I am here to get my revenge on the witch. But more men to aid in my fight is a bonus.” I said, we started walk down the long creepy hallway.

We came upon large wooden door that looked like it was at least a thousand years old. We only so it because it had what appeared to be a small light above it. “Is that the way out of here?” One of my men asked. “It’s only one way to replace out. Lets check it out.” I said. We got to the door and turned the knob surprised that it was unlocked. It opened easily, but it just appeared to be a door to another dark room. “It’s just another room, let’s go back the other way; the exit must be on the other end.” I said just as something grabbed my arm, yanking me back into the room as my wolves turned when they heard me yell. They rushed to reach me, but the door slammed shut. I could hear them ramming into the door because I was now locked. But I couldn’t focus on that right now I needed to try and focus on my surroundings. “Well, well, well, I wasn’t expecting dinner, I mean company tonight.” I heard from somewhere in this room. My wolf wasn’t with me because this realm has a spell to block a werewolf from shifting. So, I was on my own, but I wasn’t a weak man I am capable of being the same kind of deadly killer my wolf was. “Who’s there? Open the damn door. I don’t want any trouble I am just here to see the witch.” I said out loud. “Oh, alpha Zane, I know why you’re here. I know everything there is to know about the almighty alpha Zane. Who do you think told the witch to seek you out?” The voice said. “What the hell is going on? Who is this, show yourself.” I yelled into the room. “Gladly.” The voice said laughing. My heart started to race; I didn’t know who that voice belonged to. I was starting to have a bad feeling about coming here. Maybe I should have just waited for Alpha Makahi to kill the witch or at the very least weaken her. So, I could finish her off for betraying me. I never trusted her completely, because we both had an agenda and at the time our goals aligned with each other’s goal, without crossing paths. I was using her, and she was using me. But this last time was her betraying me almost getting me killed by lying to me to achieve her goal alone and left me out to dry.

Shaking away those thoughts to focus on what or who this voice is and what does he want with me. All of a sudden there was a small light that formed in the center of the room. “Please forgive me I wasn’t excepting guess as I said which is way I didn’t get a chance to properly dress for the occasion.” The voice said as he stepped into the light. What I saw was not human. It’s face had skin falling off of it and his yes weren’t in the sockets they were just sitting on the outside of his face. He had no lips it was just teeth with what appear to be fangs. He only had a few pieces of hair attached to his head. I stumbled back falling to the ground but kept backing away from whatever this was.

“Why alpha it’s rude to stare. I know I didn’t comb my hair today, but it can’t be that bad can it? Oh well it doesn’t matter because I will be getting a makeover. I thought I would have to take over the witches body. But a fate would have it, My Christmas present came early this year. The witch was under the impression I would allow her to live she was such a foolish child when I met her. She was heartbroken by some werewolf, and all I had to do was promise to spare him and she would help me with my plan.” He said, walking in circles with his back turned to me as I try and replace that damn door. I could barely hear my men still trying to break down the door. I just hope by the time I make it to the door they will have gotten in somehow. “So, with the witches help I will finally be able to walk the earth once more and be rid of those filthy werewolves my sister loves so much. Oh well except you of course I have a better job for you. You will be able to help me more then the witch ever could.” He said finally looking at me. I stopped in my tracks as he smiled.

“Wha, what do you mean I can help you? What do I have to do?” I asked as my voice trembled. “Well, that’s the easy part. I would just use your body to destroy all the werewolves on the planet. Easy right?” He said shrugging like he just didn’t say he wanted to use my body to kill all werewolves. “Are you crazy? You want to use my me to kill my own people. What would make you think I would do that? I want to rule the wolf shifters not eliminate them.”

I said my voice sounding more confident then I felt because my man still haven’t broken that damn door down and this whatever it was didn’t sound like he was working with a full deck. “Oh, I must have misspoken. I didn’t mean that you would be killing your own people that will be too cruel. I do have some morals. No, I meant that, I would be doing the killing….using your body as my personal vessel.” He said with an evil no l*p smile.

My eyes widen in shock. Did he just say he was going to use my body as a vessel? You will not use my body. I don’t know what type of sick game you and the witch has going on, but I want no parts of it. I said not even caring if he sees me trying to get out of here. I should have listened to my beta and waited until that alpha to weaken the witch and then get my revenge. I was blindly feeling around the room touching nothing. I didn’t think I was pulled this far into this room, was I? All I do know is I couldn’t allow that thing to get near me.

“Awe, trying leave so soon Alpha Zane, I really thought my idea was a great one you would get to live albeit from the inside looking out. It seemed like a win, win to me.” He said, laughing into the darkness. I started to scream for my men hoping I could use their voice to head in the right direction. But I could no longer hear anything but the laugh of that evil being. It had to be who the witch was working with and the one who gave her those powers.

She was sicker then I thought. She has completely lost her mind, agreeing to working with an evil such as this. “Oh, alpha I thought you were going to make this easy for me. I mean I explained everything to easy and even offered to spare your life if you allowed me to use your body to kill my sister. But I guess I will have to do what I do best which is take it by force.” He said just as I felt something cold and slimy wrap around my legs and pulled me into the darkness.
