Makahi POV:

“Is everyone in position. We have to make sure that we aren’t spotted.” I said via mindlink. We arrived at Zane’s borders an hour ago. We set up camp downwind about 1 mile away under the cover of the forest we had a clear view of the camp from here I sent out scouts to surround the compound in order to get a layout of the entire compound we didn’t want any surprises once we attack. We were out numbered, it was 1 wolf for every 2 wolves. We hadn’t seen any sign of Alpha Zane but it didn’t matter one way or the other. Montago stuck close to Lynn I knew where ever she was going so was he. She was right about the signals once we were within 500 miles of the camp she was able to pinpoint their exact location. So we knew exactly where the girls were but didn’t know how many were on the inside guarding them that was the biggest hurdle. “We need to take out as many wolves as we can without being detected. So that mean we start from the back and work our way up. Whatever team reaches an entry door let us know don’t wait for us we need to cover ground as much as we can as fast as we can communication is key here we will have scouts watching and covering our back letting us know what’s coming. Once inside we separate into 2 groups one to search and rescue the girls which will be me, Shadow, Montago, and Lynn and the second group is on search and attack take out as many wolves as you can once we have the girls we meet back at the entrance and get the hell out. Once we’re in the scouts will get the trucks and be ready to load up at the designated location and get the hell out here. The doc gathered all his replaceing and is taking them directly to the counsel for review to get them cleared of all the charges. Shadow yo……. WHAT THE HELL IS THAT.” I yelled as the sound of sirens blarring coming from the compound.

“Alpha it looks like something is going on the guards are scrambling to the East side of the camp.” One of the scouts mindlinked. “What the hell it looks like the girls are moving towards the back of the compound.” Lynn said as she showed me the screen of her mobile. Damn it that’s the same way my scout just mentioned. “s**t they have spotted us and trying to move the girls, or the girls are trying to escape either way we have no time let’s move!” I said and mindlinked at the same time. We all shifted at once. I glanced at Montago as he shift and Lynn easily hopped onto his back as he shifted they already moving as a unit without even realizing it that’s because Montago didn’t question his other half as I did and because of that my mate and my pup are in danger. With renewed determination I headed for my mate. I just hope she can forgive me once I get her to safety.

Just as we reach the clearing I see my men attacking the guards who had their backs turned heading towards the East entrance. I easily kill 2 wolves on my way to the entrance when all of a sudden I hear howling. I whip my head around to see my wolves being shot with guns, but they should have been able to heal and expell the bullets but for some reason they aren’t. “Listen up they have some type of gun that has bullets we can’t expel or heal from watch your back. Storm and Blaze get the wounded to the trucks Montago Shadow with me.” I mindlinked just as we rounded the corner my heart stops I see Ji’lahni, Mina and Shawna fighting 4 wolves just outside the compound door they still hadn’t made it to the fence which was at least a half of football field away. I see a wolf knocked Ji’lahni down and had her pinned but Mina was right their and sliced his throat. B***d boiling I rip to shred every wolf in my path. my wolf is almost feral as we kill each wolf 1 by 1. “Shawna, Mina, Ji’lahni” Lynn screamed the women looked up for brief second and they looked relived and crying they began running to the entrance.

Ji’lahni was lagging behind them holding her arm that looked horrible which only angered Maka even more. She looked paled and weaker then the others but I see determination. “ALPHA WATCH OUT!” Shadow mindlinked and growled just as I felt a hot bullet tear through my front leg my fur felt like it was on fire. Shadow ripped the arm off the wolf holding the gun in human form. “ALPHA ARE YOU ALRIGHT?” Shadow yelled through mindlink. “I’LL BE FINE GO RESCUE OUR WOMEN!” I yelled my shoulder was completely useless, Maka’s stride was much slower but he blocked the pain because he knew we needed to get to Ji’lahni. Montago and Lynn were now at the gate trying to rip it open. When all of a sudden we see a helicopter appearing suddenly hovering inside the compound.

Alpha Zane leaped out and shift to his wolf before he hits the ground quickly gaining on the girls. As Maka reached the gate it seems like everything slowed down. Hearing the helicopter the girls turned to see Zane closing in on them, I hear Ji’lahni screamed to the others “RUN!” That snapped them out of their stupor and they turn to run without hesitating. Maka tore through the gate just as Ji’lahni stopped running with tearing streaming down her face in acceptance. The gate was ripped open and the girls were nearly to the gate and didn’t notice Jilahni had stopped but I can see her mouth “I love you” before turning and running in the opposite direction picking up a gun from one of the fallen guards and started shooting like a pro she was a hell of a shot I broke out into a dead run forgetting my front leg was bleeding even more. I know I was far to slow because I was losing too much b***d and energy…. I hear Lynn screaming “No!” As Montago held her back the girls stopped and turned seeing that Ji’lahni had turn around racing towards the guards that were chasing them. Shadow and Hunter reaches them just as they turn to get back to Ji’lahni. They were fighting trying to get loose. I let out a howl that shook the ground just as Ji’lahni pointed the gun at Zane who had stopped when he saw the gun in her hand she pulls the trigger and it only clicked realizing that she had no more bullets she turns and her eyes lands on me just as Zane eyes also lands on me. He shifted and lands a blow to the back of her head and she crumbles to the ground. Zane hurried and scooped up Ji’lahni’s and raced to the helicopter as I rip through the remaining guards.

“Alpha we have to go they have more guards coming we have to get out. NOW!” I hear Montago yell from behind me killing guards beside me. He grabs me and I snapped and growl at him. “Alpha, please we need get out of here she’s gone we can regroup and come back.” Montago said he was now in human form because we had killed the guards that were there. Maka was feral I felt my control slipping and we were in so much pain not from the bullet but from the pain of seeing Ji’lahni sacrifice herself to save her family. Why would she do something so stupid Maka howled and growled in pain before we collapsed into darkness. I had lost too much b***d my eyes were so heavy I couldn’t open them but I could hear yelling. “Don’t you f*****g touch me. I will never forgive you for this.” I hear someone say as I fight to regain consciousness but I was swallowed back into the peaceful darkness where no pain was.

The next time I escaped the darkness I was able to open my eyes and when I looked around I noticed I was in a hospital bed. I g*****d and the omega nurses turns to look at me. “Where am I?” I asked as one of the omega nurses called out to the doc. He rushed over as I tried to sit up. “Calm down alpha your still pretty weak from your wound now that you’re up you should be able to shift in a few hours to heal completely.” The doctor said. “What’s going on why are we back here where’s.” I stopped as the memories came flooding back like a picture book flicking through every scene. I growled so loud the entire room trembled. “Aaaalpha please calm down you’re still weak from your gunshot wound.” The doc said which stocked me looking down I see where a bullet hole was in my shoulder why the hell didn’t it heal I frowned confused. Seeing me looking at the wound. “Alpha it seems as though Alpha Zane has used the girls b***d to manufacture a bullet that can wound or kill other wolves. We have informed the counsel and everyone is looking for him.” The doc said unhooking me from the medical machines.

Bursting through the door my mother and father rushed in crying and hugging me followed by Montago, Lynn, Shadow, Shawna, Hunter, and Mina but the one person I wished would walk through that door wasn’t and it was because of me. “How are you feeling son? My father asked why my mother treated me like I was her little pup again. “I’m fine dad I need to get out of here and replace Ji’lahni I want all the reports from everyone who is helping to search for Zane. “Son you were hurt pretty bad how about you rest and allow everyone to search from Zane.” My father said with a look of concern. “NO! I have to replace my mate and my pup.” I said grabbing the sweatpants turning to the doc. “Is all of the poison out of my system can I shift and heal?” “Yes technically but I’m not sure your strong enough to shift just yet.” He said as I took a deep breathe Maka was anything but weak I shifted and the wounds almost healed instantly I left the clinic and headed to the pack house and shift as I claimed the steps. With everyone behind me.

I didn’t acknowledge any of them my main focus was replaceing Ji’lahni I was going to replace her and kill alpha Zane. Picking up the report that was on my desk. I hear Summer yelling and running past my guard and bursting through the door throwing herself into my arms I didn’t return her hug she step back with tears in my eyes. “I’m so glad you’re OK. Your parents wouldn’t let me see you at the clinic. I was so worried about you. I told you it was a bad idea to go to my uncle’s compound. Now that you got the human women back we can get back to normal and continue on with our mating ceremony. I know you’re shocked but I decided to forgive you for everything. The way it worked out must be a sign of how it was suppose to work out. I think we shouldn’t wait too long to mate I was thinking next week.”

Before I could think Maka came forward and grabbed Summer by the throat and threw her against the wall. “Do you really think I would mate the woman who’s responsible for my mate and my pup being taken from me. You stand here and tell me that it was a sign that my mate and my pup were taken from me. I said squeezing her throat, with fear in her eyes she clawed at my hands which was elongating. “Alpha please calm down she isn’t worth it.” Montago came to stand between me and Summer. “Get her away from me.” I said turning back towards my desk to the reports on my desk. “Summer I want to know every location your family owns and have every visited please do not lie or withhold anything. Think of this as a life or death situation for you. I know 3 women that are ready and willing to kill you without a second thought.” She gasped. “You can’t mean that Kahi we’re supposed to mate. How can you be so cold to me after everything.” She cries but I feel nothing for her nothing at all only resentment. Turning to meet her eyes. “I mean every word. Your uncle has my mate and my pup. That’s all I care about if you don’t understand anything else understand that.” I said meeting her eye to eye.

Just then we here a commotion outside along with a few grunts and howls. Bursting through the door Lynn Mina and Shawna barges in. “About damn time sleeping beauty. Now that you’re back let’s get the f**k outta here and go replace my cousin.” Lynn said crossing her arm over her chest. She glanced at Montago her eyes soften for a split second before they landed on Summer who was clinging to Montago Lynn frowned and all you saw was hatred turning back to me her face now devoid of any emotion. “All we need is to get within range of where they are for the locator chip to pick up a signal. We have been following leads and we have come up empty.” Lynn said as they all came around my desk. Really looking at Mina and Shawna for the first since they came in. They look battered and bruised and weak but they also looked angry and determined. I can only hope that Ji’lahni was still alive I don’t know what I would do if she wasn’t and although I hadn’t marked her I feel like she’s alive I would know somehow if she wasn’t.

“She’s alive. He wont kill her he’s infatuated with her for some reason. I think it has something to do with all the information your girlfriend was feeding him.” Shawna sneered glancing towards Summer who was looking down avoiding eye contact. “What do you mean feeding information? what is she talking about Summer?” I said directing my gaze to Summer. “Oh didn’t your girlfriend tell you. Ji’lahni told us that she’s the one who started all of this she’s the one who told her uncle about Ji’lahni and her b***d she’s the one who convinced your guard to call her uncle and have us arrested all because she was jealous and how you were attracted to Ji’lahni.” Shawna said as she took a step towards Sunmer but Shadow held her in place. “You can’t believe anything this filthy human says they’re just trying to tear us apart don’t you see that none of this would be happening if it wasn’t for them.” Summer screamed hysterically.

“ENOUGH!” I yelled using my Alpha aura I really don’t have time to deal with any of this Ji’lahni is out there somewhere with a psycho. “I don’t care about any of that right now all I want to do is get Ji’lahni back. Summer write down all the property your family has owned or visited.” I said with my alpha aura I don’t have time to ask more then once. Looking at the people in my room. “I know I would be wasting my time telling you girls to stay while we look for Ji’lahni so I won’t. Montago call our friend Rico and arrange for a helicopter we can cover more ground that way. Shadow gather our best warrior and arrange guards to protect the borders while we’re gone everyone is dismissed, except Lynn, Mina, and Shawna.” I said reading the report from the information we gathered from other packs about their run in with Alpha Zane there were quite a long list of packs who have had issues with him. I look up after hearing the door click closed.

The girls sat in the chair across from my desk I leaned back to observe them carefully you could tell they have been through alot but it didn’t break them I couldn’t help but admire them. “I know you have giving your report to my Beta and I know by now you know that we’re werewolves. But I want to hear everything that happened at that camp especially Ji’lahni I know they told you she was pregnant. But I don’t know if you know..” “We know we knew the moment they told us she was pregnant. We have tons of questions especially you being a werewolf and all but from what we are told yall know just as much as we do. Which is why it’s important we get her back. Once we do we plan to kill her so yall might not ever get any answers. We are angry that she sacrifice herself to save us. We’re angry because we were to battered emotionally, mentally, and physically to know what she had planned to do. She was very sick and weaker then us we figured that it was because her arm was getting worse and not better even with them cleaning it occasionally.

They would always pick her randomly which we found out was only because Zane would try and get her to be his mate. She was afraid he would force her into it, we don’t know what that means to werewolves but we don’t think it’s anything good. They drew so much b***d from us that we would often pass out and did a few times. But Ji’lahni always fought when she felt either of us struggling she knew they wouldn’t beat her as bad because Zane would kill anyone who had but they found clever ways to hurt her. The day we broke out it was really bad for her I think that’s why she decided we would escape that day, she must think she doesn’t have much time left. She doesn’t know she’s pregnant if she did she would fight to her last breathe but if Zane took her and tries to force her she may think she only have one way out because she would die before she allow anyone to force themselves on her. It’s been 24 hrs and each hour that passes the less likely we are to replace her. We have to replace her she is all we have left.”Mina said as they cried. I felt sorrow lodged in my throat almost choking me as pictures of the day before when I saw her right before Zane took her it was acceptance and sadness she recognized me even in wolf form. But she’s not dead my pup isn’t dead I know it Maka would feel it I don’t know how or why but I just know she’s alive. “Don’t worry we will replace her and I will allow you to kill my mate right after I do for putting herself in danger. She is alive I know it so let’s stop wasting time and go replace her.” I said getting up heading for the door.

“Montago get everyone ready we leave in 30.” I mindlinked. “Alpha may I have a word with you? The doc ask as I was making my way to the trucks to make sure we have everything we need to rescue my mate. “Yea doc make it quick we’re leaving in an half hour.” “Yes of course I was wanting to know if I could come along you will need me if miss Nelson is badly hurt. There is so much we don’t know about because a human has never been pregnant by a wolf let alone the fact that they are 2 babies and there has never been an instant where an alpha has ever fathered a girl pup. So I want to.” “STOP!” I said feeling light headed and confused. “Did you say I’m having a girl and boy pup? She having twins? How is that even possible our women only have 1 pup and they barely make it and no alpha has even birth a daughter. How is this possible?” “Yes indeed it has never happened which is why I think its important that I be there. I have done some test on there b***d to see what the anomaly was I think the wolfband some how changed their genetic makeup to the point that they can obviously become our mate and bare our pups I also think them being human somehow made it possible for an alpha to have a girl pup. Humans are fascinating beings. If she is indeed still pregnant I will need to check the pups immediately to see if they’re in distress because of the wolfbane in their b***d. My team and I think that if they survive, wolfbane won’t affect them as they do us. They are also comparing the she wolves b***d to her b***d to see if there is something that we can create to increase the chances of her surviving the pregnancy and birth of your pups.” He said well I stood there in shocked silence.

I was listening but was in a state of shock hearing everything the doc said. I was having a girl pup along with my boy pup I cant believe any of this is happening and I don’t have time to figure it out or ask questions. “Be ready in 20 minutes and meet us at the entrance.” I said not waiting for a reply. I was focused now more then ever to get my mate and my pups away from that sick twisted bastard. If he thought for one second that he would mark my woman he is sadly mistaken. I didn’t tell the girls what it meant when werewolves mate because that would only make them worry more and I needed them focused in order for us to get Ji’lahni back and we will get her back I said with death and determination in my eyes. Ji’lahni hold on baby I’m coming for you.

Ji’lahni POV :

Why does my eyes feel like they’re glued together and my head feels like I been hit with a 2×4. This is f****d up. I feel like when you die you shouldn’t still be in pain. Unless I’m in hell. And even then I feel like you should at least be able to plead your case. I’m just saying. “Well I see someone is trying to wake up. It’s about time I was beginning to worry honey.” Honey? I don’t remember being nobody’s honey, no honey bear, honey suckle, honey bun, honey Bunny, no honey at all. So who is he talking to. My mind is in a fog the voice I heard was familiar but I couldn’t put a face to it. Cracking my eyes open trying to see who is talking so I can tell them to shut the f**k up because all his loud talking was killing my head. But who I saw looking down at me made my stomach drop. No no no no no this is what I was trying to avoid. How could this happen I was sure the wolf guards were going to kill me. “Where am I?” I asked in a hoarse voice my mouth felt like I have been licking desert sand. “Here drink some water, you’re on my private jet we’re going to a remote island that I acquired a few years ago. It’s beautiful there you’re going to love it. I have built a beautiful home there that you can decorate however you like you won’t have to worry about anything I have a full staff who’s ready and waiting for your arrival to make sure you have everything you need.” Zane said like he didn’t just knock my a*s out.

There is no way in hell I’m still with this sick nut cracker that held me and cousins hostage for the past few days. I would have spit my water out if it wasn’t so good. After drinking the water I looked around trying to make sense of everything. “Why are you doing this?” I asked looking back at him confused. “Because when my niece first told me about you I was curious to say the least we have never allowed humans to stay in our community. We have had deliveries and such but never overnight guest and I heard about how you fought those rogue wolves that I sent to attack Alpha Makahi’s pack I admit I was very intrigued by you.” He smiled evilly. “So it was you behind the rogue attacks. Why would you do that to your own kind?” I asked looking at him like his crazy not to mention he was actually crazy. “Why power of course. if I weaken all the packs while mine stayed strong and easily disgarded the rogues then the counsel would see that having all the pack under my control would be beneficial to our survival. Then I would control the future of all werewolves and finally show the world who we are and that we’re the superior beings. We would no longer have to hide who we are or live in fear of being discovered.” he finished like a real life villain yes just like every TV villain.

“Yea you’re a wacko. You understand that we as humans may not have the same natural abilities as werewolves but we are resilient and have survived countries that should have whipped us out but we still manage to survive and thrive and win in spite of everything that’s thrown at us.” I said looking at him like he has lost his mind. “That may be true. But those idiots failed because they tried to kill you’re kind. I don’t plan to kill you. Well not all of you anyway killing humans isn’t the goal. I plan to use your kind to build and create a new world order and once you and I are mated we will rule this world together.” He said with a smile of delight at the thought of his plan coming true. Bursting out laughing because he was obviously joking about that last part. “There is no way in the entire ralm of hell that I would ever mate or anything with you. I would die before I do that.” I said confidently because that was my plan since we were captured and I started getting sick. So whatever plan he got was never going to happen. I look over at him and he was still smiling like he didn’t believe me. “I doubt that you want to die and leave you cousins or your pup behind.” he sneered.

I frowned my pup what the hell is he ta…talking…. “You mean Razor he isn’t my pup. Isn’t that your nephew or something?” I mean I know he loony but he can’t be that crazy. “Not Razor he is actually my grandson my Son’s pup he and his mate were killed by rogues less then a year ago. When I found and slaughtered the rogues that killed my son the others begged for their lives and that’s when I figured I could use them to execute my plan. He said with a mixture of emotions from sadness, vengeance, to evil. But hold up if he wasn’t talking Razor then wh….”So what pup are you talking about if not Razor?” I asked suspiciously. He smiled got up and went to the bar and poured him a shot of tequila before turning towards me still smiling. “Congratulations you’re pregnant. It was on your medical report that I paid top dollar for.” He answered.

“You’re lying there is no way I’m pregnant and for damn sure not pregnant with a pup. I don’t even think that is humanly possible. And by wh…..” I stopped as I remembered that first night I got out of the hospital in the bathroom with Makahi I’m not dumb I know about pre c*m and it being more potent then the actual s***m that happens when men o****m. Is that why I have been sick. Is my baby ok I know that my b***d hurts wolve and if my baby is part wolf is it OK? I question as I start to hyperventilate my breathing became erratic my head is throbbing I need some air I need to get out of here I thought getting up only for the floor to decide they wanted a hug from me. I hear Zane calling my name but the darkness also needed a hug from me too I thought as I passed out.
