Battleground’s POV:

The witch was starting to panic. The dark one was free but has abandoned me, because she had failed him by not killing the alpha or the Omni twins. She needed to get the babies and get out of there. The dark one was not coming to attack the werewolves now, because he had not built his strength. He would need to feed to regain all his strength. The ground began to shake again. The witch was alone now. She had no one to help her escape. The vampires were starting to flee. Her warriors were still loyal and fighting. But they were no match for the werewolves, so they were not able to help her. She was surrounded.

“What the hell is that? Is it an earthquake?” Montego yelled. “I don’t know, but it can’t be good, so we need to break this damn force field now.” The alpha said, Mylan jumped into the air with her sword and stabbed the sword into the force field and pulled down, propelling down the side of the force field until she reached the ground with Lynndoria following her grandmothers’ lead, on the other side. The force field split into half. The witch immediately threw a low-powered energy bolt as she tried to grab the babies, but wolves were already too close to the twins and the humans were firing arrows and blades at her head that she had to use her magic to block.

Urrale’s POV:

I needed to get out of here. “Master! I heard my servant Maria yell. She was at the castle door with a portal open waiting for me. I don’t know how she made it to the castle, but I’m glad she did. I turned back to the babies, but the wolves had already surrounded them protecting them from me. I turned and used the last of my magic to blur to the castle door. But before I made it there, the human mother fired three arrows at me. I smiled relieved that I made it to my castle door. “Master!” Maria yelled in horror. I frowned and looked at her strangely. “What is it?” I asked. “Master, we’ve been shot.” She said as all the color drained from her face. I looked down at Maria and she had an arrow sticking out of her chest and I looked down to see an arrow was sticking out of my stomach. I looked at Maria as she fell into my arms. I screamed as her breathing slowed to a stop. I looked up in the direction of the human woman as she smiled at me, putting up her middle finger. As she turned and ran to her babies. I pulled Maria into the portal vowing I will have my revenge; I will kill them all.

The Dark One’s POV:

I looked at my new body in the mirror of one of the rooms I found in this castle. Once I was set free, I needed to feed. But alpha Zane only brought a few of his men, not enough to bring me back to my full strength. I also had to leave the beta alive only after he begged for his life and said that he could help me take over alpha Zane’s pack. Which I have to admit was a great idea. What better way to kill all those filthy mutts than to do it from the inside? I also had that pregnant she-wolf as well. She would help me kill the alpha and his pups. So, I can walk this earth for eternity once I kill my sister.

I had tied her life to that man that marked her. So, whatever happens to her will happen to him. I know what you’re thinking. Why didn’t I just kill her once I completed the spell? Well, I want to kill those babies first and once the she-wolf tells everyone that she is tied to the alpha, they will have no choice but to take her back to the pack house where she can complete her mission of killing those twins before they come into their complete powers. Once she kills the Omni twins, then I will be able to destroy the werewolves and kill my sister. I just had to wait until the she-wolf completes her mission.

Makahi’s POV:

“Baby, we have to move, we don’t know what is happening, but it can’t be good. Give Mina Tru and get on Maka with Teri. Mina! Rimmy is ready for you, take Tru and get to the entrance. Rimmy, don’t stop, the other wolves will clear a path for you.” I said as I shifted into Maka. All of a sudden, me and Maka heard a scream. We turned to see a blade sticking out of Ji’lahni’s chest. Maka roared in pain at seeing the blade in our mates’ chest. Her eyes widened in surprise, looking at Teri to make sure she wasn’t hit before falling to the ground. I immediately shifted back to my human form, catching Teri. “NO, NO, NO, NO! Baby, please don ‘t do this, please don’t leave me?” I yelled, holding her and Teri in my hands. “Alpha, you need to mark her, that’s the only way.” Mylan said, taking Teri from me.

Maka came forward immediately without a second thought. He didn’t care about the consequences for him or Summer. They could both die. If that meant Ji’lahni would live. “I wish we could have done this the correct and proper way, but nothing about you is ever normal or easy since I’ve met you, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love you with every fiber of my being.” I said as I kissed her marking spot before biting into her neck, marking her as mine. It immediately began to burn my throat, but I didn’t care. Maka howled in my mind as the wolfbane burned my insides and I began to shake. “You have to give her your b***d since she is human and can’t mark you, hurry! You’re running out of time.” Mylan said, standing beside me.

I used my claws to my neck and pressed it to her mouth. “Come on baby please drank! Don’t be so stubborn. Listen to me for once in your life.” I yelled, shaking her, beginning to cry when I didn’t feel her move to take my b***d. That’s when I felt her bite down sucking on my neck. I g*****d in pleasure as my d**k grew hard immediately. “Remind me to punch you in the chest for shaking a woman with a stab wound to the chest.” She said, before groaning in pain. “Alpha, we gotta move now! The entrance is closing.” Mylan yelled, running to the entrance. I lifted Ji’lahni and began to run full speed. To the entrance.

Mina’s POV:

“Ji’lahni!” I cried out as I saw Summer throw a knife at Ji’lahni from behind a few of the witches’ warriors. She was up ahead of us, so I started throwing stars at her. I could only use one hand because I had Tru in my other hand. All of a sudden, Rimmy got blind-sided by a Vampire. Me and Tru were thrown into the air. At the last second, I turned my body so that I landed on my side instead of my chest because I would’ve hurt Tru. It took Rimmy a while to kill the Vampire because his arm looked broken. It was hanging and swinging around wildly. Once he killed the vampire, he came running over to me. “Get Tru, make sure she isn’t hurt. I said, handing Tru to him. When I lifted my arms, I screamed.

“Damnit Mina. You have a blade in the upper side of her rib cage.” He said, looking around trying to see if any one was close, but everyone was heading to the entrance. No one noticed us. Everyone was afraid of the entrance closing. He was trying to help me up, but I was losing b***d and I think it may have hit something important because it was becoming hard to breathe. I looked at Rimmy, who was beginning to cry out of fear. I looked at the entrance. It was almost close if he didn’t leave now, he wouldn’t make it. “Rimmy,” I said, but he ignored me, still trying to help me up. “RIMMY!” I yelled, pushing him away with the little strength I had. “You need to go you need to get Tru out of here.” I said with a small smile. “No, no I can’t leave you here we just need to get you up and we can both get to the entrance.” He said ignoring me and trying to still use his bad arm to help me up.

“Rimmy please you have to get Tru to the entrance, you can’t let her get stuck in here. Just hurry and get her there and then come back and get me.” I said, hoping he would listen and do what I said, but I knew he wouldn’t be able to come back without getting himself stuck in here too. I’m sure someone will stop him before he does something stupid. “He looked at the entrance and then turned back to me and nodded with determination in his eyes. Maybe convince himself that he could do the impossible. I looked at Tru as she whimpered. I caressed her cheeks and kissed her fingers. “Your tee, tee Mina loves you with all her heart, and you need to be good to your momma, but give your daddy hell.” I said, as tears ran down my face. She made soft little sounds like she was trying to talk.

“Now go and hurry up.” I said, lying back on the ground. Trying to wrap my head around the fact that my a*s was about to die. I will tell you what, though there is no life flashing before your eyes, bullshit. But I’m not sure I wanted those receipts if I had to go and face god for judgement. Because if I did that, I might have to give god some references. Maybe my family that is already up there can vouch for me. I thought as I heard screams and howls. I’m sure is Ji’lahni and Lynn probably killing Rimmy by the howl I heard right before I lost consciousness.

Blaze’s POV:

I was in charge of clearing the path for the Alpha and the Luna. There were still warriors and some vampires who were also trying to get to the entrance. It was pure madness, but we finally got to the entrance. It was closing faster than we thought. The Luna had been stabbed but the alpha marked her and gave her his b***d, so she was weak but healing slowly because she was human. “Where is Tru and Mina? I heard Luna say and Mylan gave her Teri. Everyone was looking around because they knew she was with Rimmy. Onyx hated that he wasn’t able to make sure she was safe.

“WHERE IS RIMMY, MINA, AND TRU?” Lynn said, looking around and starting to panic. “We’re right here. We heard from the front of the big crowd at the entrance. I breathed a sigh of relief. I followed the alpha and Luna rushed to Rimmy, grabbing Tru, hugging and kissing her face. “Rimmy, where is Mina? Is she behind you?” Lynn asked once she realized that Mina wasn’t surrounding the babies, like they were. “She, she, we got hit by a vampire, and it knocked Mina to the ground with the baby and my arm was broken and I couldn’t heal because I needed to set it back into place. After I killed the vampire, I went over to help Mina and Tru, but Mina had a blade stuck in her ribs. I think it hit her heart. I tried to get her up, but I just couldn’t, and I told her I couldn’t leave her, but she made me. She said I needed to get the baby to the entrance.” Rimmy said as tears fell down his eyes.

At his words my heart stopped. Onyx howled, everything went dark. I lost focus and I couldn’t breathe. I ran to the entrance not believing what I had just heard. I was searching for her as the entrance closed. “Rimmy please tell me you didn’t listen to her. Please tell me you didn’t leave her in there?” Both Lyn and Ji’lahni asked. Then they begin to scream, struggling to break free of the men holding them yelling, telling them to let go so they can replace her.

. “NO, NO, NO, LET ME GO. I CAN’T LOSE SHAWNA AND MINA! THEY ARE ALL I HAVE LEFT, PLEASE LET ME GO GET THEM! PLEASE LET ME GO!” I heard Ji’lahni scream while she sobs still fighting to break free. I was frantically searching, trying to replace her. I didn’t believe she was still out there. It all had to be a simple mistake. But I spotted a small figure lying on the ground. The only thing moving was the rise and fall of her chest where it seemed like she was struggling to breathe. “MINA! I roared, letting Onyx come forward. Tears now falling from my eyes at the sight of her, as if she heard me. I saw her turn her head and looked me directly in my eyes, and with that I allowed Onyx complete control and we jumped through the entrance, heading straight to our other-half mate where we belonged.
