Ji’lahni POV:

What the hell is that beeping and why the hell is it so damn loud. I g*****d opening my eyes slowly and the bright light was blinding it felt like it was drilling a hole in my head. Shit…. I’m hurting what the hell is going on. Finally able to open my eyes wide enough to look around and see that I’m obviously in a hospital. But I can’t remember why but I know that if how much pain I’m feeling literally EVERYWHERE is any indication then whatever it was f****d me up. I g*****d trying to sit up and see what the hell is going on but my left arm was killing me and I could barely move it without the pain almost making mr pass out.

“Hey hey don’t move do you know who you are or where you’re at?” The stranger ask whispering pushing me back on the pillow. “Of course I know who I am and I’m obviously in a hospital ..but, you could tell me why? I responded I could see him visibly let go of the breathe he was obviously holding some how relieved. “Uh are you going to tell me who you are and why am I here?” I asked whispering to replace out why he was just staring at me.

“Oh right we haven’t met. I’m Luna lateri’s son Alpha makahi and what’s the last thing you remember.” He answered and ask… I frowned trying to remember what got me in the hospital. “Momma Teri i mean your mother took us on a tour around your community. I remember us stopping at your elementary school and then we met this nice lady and.” I trailed off suddenly as the memories came flooding back to me in a rush that it took my breath away. I remembered everything the crazy wolf Raz fiercely tried to protect us from. Me trying to save him and then nothing. I jumped up patting my chest trying to feel for the little baby wolf starting to panic.

“WHERE IS HE WHERE’S RAZ I HAVE TO FIND HIM YOU HAVE TO MAKE SURE HE’S OK OMG! MY COUSINS WHERE ARE THEY WHY AREN’T THEY HERE OMG PLEASE DON’T TELL ME THEY’RE DEAD THEY CANT BE DEAD.” I said crying frantically trying to take the needle out of my arm. My head was pounding but I ignored it because i needed to replace my cousins. “Hey hey calm down. Your cousins are fine they were here but they need to shower and get some rest and the pup Razor he’s fine you saved his life. He has been by your side every chance he can. Just lay back down. You need to rest and continue healing.” This man claiming to be lateri’s son whispered.

Hearing that everyone was ok calmed me down a little. I allowed him to push me back on the bad. Now that I calmed down a little the pain decided it wanted to make its presence known. I g*****d when the pain in my left arm begin to thump as if it had its on heartbeat. My head felt like I got hit with a brick. The pain had me blurry eyed. I had to close them to stop the walls from moving. Taking a deep breath trying to focus on anything other then this pain. I wanted to cry but I didnt want to do it in from of lateri’s son that would be embarrassing.

“Hey I know you’re in pain I’m sure it hurts like hell I’ll go get the nurse she’ll give you something to take the edge off they had to go get you something stronger it will be here in a day or so. We do have basic medication they we’ve been giving you wait here.” The man whispered hurriedly getting up going to the door to get the nurse. The nurse rushed in like she was being chased. She injected something into my I V bag and hurried back out of the room just as fast as she came in.

“The pain should ease up a little bit. He whispered taking my hand into his I jumped at the electricity that zapped from my hand up my arm straight to my heart then traveled down between my legs. I pulled my hand back and frown at him and the look he gave me let’s me know he felt it to. He had my heart racing and I don’t even know him. I mean yea from what I saw he was damn fine I mean oh my God fine. But for me it takes more then good looks. So I’m going to chalk that up to the medication that home girl hook me up with.

Finally able to open my close without feeling like I’m about to passout. I glanced at the man sitting next to me. “Hey beautiful I finally get to see those big blue eyes of yours you had me scare for a minute thinking I would never get a chance to see them.” He said as he smiled at me.and God damnit even him smiling at me had my cookies twitching with the hell did that nurse give me ecstasy.

“Are you flirting with me. Because whatever that nurse just gave me got me thinking nasty thought things.” I whispered licking my lips. “Well lucky for you I was and I’m definitely not on any medication and I’m thinking very nasty thoughts too.” He whispered close to my ear which he might as well said it to my p****y because she is definitely listening he had the most devilishly sexy smile that made me blush. See I’m in this hospital and this man got me thinking about his hands touching me in places that…”Hey keep your eyes open for me baby the doc said once you’re awake you need to stay awake at least an hour.”He said touching my cheek and again his touch is going straight to my p*****y what the hell is happening.

But I didnt stop him this time I leaned into his hand enjoying the warmth and the comfort it provided. I swear I normally wouldnt dare allow anybody I don’t know to put their hands on me but this guy what was his name again s**t I forgot. Looking at him again and he was still staring at me with wanting eyes.

“I’m sorry I know you told me your name earlier but I forget.” I said embarrassingly. Smiling at me. “It’s ok you were in alot of pain so I forgive you just this once. My name is Alpha Mykahi Crystal.” “You mean Lateri Crystal’s son the one who is getting mated in a few of weeks.” I asked leaning away from his touch which obviously by the way he frown at me… showed it angered him that I separated us. Sighing “I am lateri’s son. I’m not so sure about the mating part anyone.” He whispered looking confused. “Why not what happened? I asked because if there is no mating then there was no money and we would have never came down here and nearly get eaten by wolves for nothing. He shrugged and smiled at me. “Uh I met someone that I think is meant for me.

So I don’t know if mating Summer is the right decision.” Now I’m staring wide eyed at him wondering if I’m reading him correctly because it sure did sound like he was talking about me which I know that he couldn’t be talking about me right? . We don’t even know each. I mean yea sure there is a spark whenever we touch but that was no reason to think of not mating her. But why the thought of him being with someone else bothering me so much.

What the hell is in this IV bag i ask again. Looking at him clearly confused and a little awkward. He gets up pacing like a caged animal I can only assume trying to come up with a way to explain what he just meant. Turning back towards me taking a deep breath. “Look I understand It may have sounded a little crazy about me having second thoughts about me mating Summer. I wish I could explain it in more detail right now but I can’t until I can figure some stuff out.

I know you feel that there is something unexplainable between us just know that you’re not crazy and I feel it to and once I replace out all the answers then I will tell you everything I just need you to trust me he whispered sitting on the bed leaning so close I could tell he wanted to lean his fore head against mine but knew he couldn’t for it would probably crush my brain. his were eyes closed like his fighting something within himself. I instinctively reached out and cupped his jaw with my good arm and he immediately opened his eye and I could swear I saw his eyes change from brown to blue. But that couldn’t be right, could it?

Didn’t the same thing happen with Shadow killer? I blinked to focus on the handsome man in front of me. We were just inches away from each other and I wanted so bad from him to k**s me even knowing it was wrong on so many levels. I was About to just say f**k it and go for it. But the room door crashed open sending immediately pain shooting through my head that hurt so bad I thought I would pass out. “What the hell are you doing to my mate you skank. The woman screamed. Which cause Mykahi to immediately pull away from me. Which was kind of upsetting. I thought I heard growling but I can’t be sure because my ears is still ringing and my head is being cut off. Because there is no other explanation for this pain.

I hear screaming and a little bark that sounded like my Raz I cracked open my eyes enough to see a female coming towards me with a black fur ball in her hand and in an instant she yanks my hand. I scream out in pain causing more pain in my head and Raz ever the protector jumps and bites the hand that is currently trying to tear my arm off.

She yelps and slings Raz across the floor and as my hand drops to the bed I feel cool medal and thank my cousins for making sure I’m good I grabbed the knife and put it to that b****h neck and knicked her so she know it’s real and her wide eyed expression let’s me know she understands…. “If you ever lay a hand on Raz again I will kill you b*****h you understand me.” I said shaking from the intense pain that is radiating off me and I feel myself passing out but I can’t while she is still near me. Just then her a*s was lifted off the floor and out the door before I could blank. Which I was relieved because my body gave completely out. All I could make out was Raz whimpering next to me and licking my face. You know i don’t let no dog or wolf lick my face. But I’ll tell him about it later. I thought, as I welcome the darkness.

Mykahi POV :

“WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOURE DOING?”

I growled as I squeezed Summer’s throat, fighting with my wolf to not crush her throat for hurting our mate. Realizing she couldn’t answer I let her go and she dropped to the ground in a heap on the floor. With Everyone watching she immediately got up with anger in her eyes. “What do you mean what am I doing what was she doing why was she touching you why were you so close to her. What the hell is going on kahi.” Summer raged in a loud whisper.

Sighing I really didn’t want to deal with this now. Honestly I couldn’t tell her anything while I’m still not sure what is going on myself. Trying to defuse the situation. “Sunmer I told you the doctor said she has a really bad concussion and loud noises cause her severe pain and it will be that way until we get her medication. She had just woken up and I had to lean in to whisper to her without hurting her. I said leaving out the we almost kissed part.

“Well why does she have to touch you that way. I’m telling you that was not a I want to whisper something to you touch. That was her I want to fk you touch are you blind i swear kahi i will do more then yank her arm next time I will rip her f***g throat out if that fat b***h touches you again?” Summer said angrily getting louder. “Now that will be kinda hard to do with a knife in your gut and your throat split.” Ji’lahni cousins said as they appeared damn near out of thin air.

They were rushing towards us still strapped clearly not trying to be caught off guard again. “So you want to put your hands on somebody how about try that s**t with us.” Mina said with Shawna right behind her, Shadow trailing behind her. Keep them back! I don’t trust that Summer won’t try and shift and we don’t want that to happen especially because they don’t know about us.” I mind link Shadow as I stepped in front of Summer , she huff clealry not threatened” You human women are all the same so full of yourself that you don’t even know what you’re life is at risk.”

Summer sneered trying to get pass me. She had already had her nails elongated trying to get to the girls that shadow had a hard time trying to keep back . Everyone in the lobby was starring in shock. I turned back to Summer intending to pick her up and carry her outside. But Shadow underestimated the women some how Mina breaks away and charged at me as I threw Summer over my shoulder, Mina pulled her fist back and upper cut Summer and all I heard was bones being broken and Summer screening in pain. Then all hell broke loose.

Obviously pissed Summer was beginning to shift I could feel the magic rippling through her skin she managed to grabbed Mina arm and dug her nails into her wrist Mina cursed at the sudden pain and just like with Ji’lahni and tthe rogue wolves as soon as Mina’s b***d made contact with Summer hand it immediately started to burn her hands she growled out in pain and had the opportunity to lift her up and out of the hospital away from my mate and her cousins now more confused then ever because it wasn’t just Ji’lahni’s b***d it was one or both of her cousin’s.

Once outside I drop Summer to the ground to inspect her hand and it looked like she burned her fingers really bad. Looking at summer I could see that she was angry but also sad and confused which was my fault. “Baby you need to shift and heal yourself then you need to change out of those bloody clothes. I said trying to calm her. “Mykahi what the hell is going on? Why did that bitches b***d burn me? You have been acting different since I got back and now you’re at that humans bedside all night I deserve some answers we’re going to mates in a couple of weeks.” She said through tears.

Regardless of everything that is happening Summer is right she deserved better from me. Hell all this could be just a mix up more then likely their b***d is why it was making it seem like she was my mate. Thinking about it I finally realized that was more then likely the cause of my wolf thinking she was my mate. I need to focus on my pack and the rogue wolves that attacked us. There is something brewing that attack was well organized and it bothered me that they seemed to be one step ahead of me and that is something I can’t get passed.

Looking at Summer we had 3 years together and she was loyal and a fighter as well and I loved her. With that said I needed to get the thoughts of Ji’lahni out of my head there was no way that a human could ever be my mate. “Look go shift and get out of those bloody clothes and meet me at the house I owe you a meal don’t I?” I said taking her hand even if my body wanted to recoil at the intimate gesture because she wasn’t Ji’lahni. Smiling up at me she looked up at me standing on her tip toes to k**s my lips but I quickly turned so that it land on my cheek instead. Even though I made up my mind my body still has to catch up.

“How about let’s just leave here and go back to your place together I won’t need clothes tonight anyway. I’ll just use one of your shirts.” She smiled pulling me closer to her, trying to put some space between us without her realizing. “I have to speak with the doctor and get someone to stand guard until the threat is eliminated I want to make sure that everyone is safe. After that I promise I’m all yours. I said tilting her head to k**s her lips I had to at least try. But I failed miserably but not enough for Summer to notice so that’s a win.

Waiting for her to disappear from view I headed back in the hospital. I mind linked Shadow. Are the girls in the room with Ji’lahni? “No the doctor took Mina into a room to patch her up Shawna is with her.” He responded. I headed to Ji’lahni room to talk to her alone before her cousins came in full of energy. I could hear a small growl coming from her room. Frowning suspiciously I open the door and see Ji’lahni attempting to stand and failing as soon as she stands upright she sways before almost falling I reach her before she hits the floor. “What the hell do you think your doing? The doctor said bedrest you know that means you actually have to stay in bed? I whispered furiously “I know but I had to pee and no one was in here so I was going to go on my own.

I was doing just fine.? She said stubbornly as she wrapped her arms around my neck tucked her face in the crook of my neck I can feel her soft breathe on my skin and her lips so close to my neck that the b***d shot straight to my groin and I g*****d at the sudden hard on that pressed painfully against my pants. Needing to put some space between us I pushed the bathroom door open and sat her on the toilet before closing the door hurriedly. I had to take a deep breath to get my wolf under control it was clawing at me to claim Ji’lahni he wanted to mark who he believed was his mate he didn’t understand why I was questioning who the moon goddess chose as our other half.

He doesn’t care that there has never been a human as our other half choosen by the moon goddess, so it has to be a mistake. It has to be whatever is in her b***d that’s making you think she’s ours. I sighed as Maka growled in disagreement with my theory but retreated in the back of my consciousness. Finally getting myself under control I peaked in to see if Ji’lahni was done. I had left the lights off so it wouldn’t disorient her or cause blinding pain. “Are you done?” I whispered loudly. She answered “yes.”

Walking over and picking her up with ease she felt so soft so perfect in my arm that I wanted to make sure I memorized how she felt in my arms in this moment I just stood there in the dark looking down at her beautiful face. Even though she doesn’t know it I could see she was trying to replace where my face could be. To help her out I leaned in and whispered.

“Are you looking for me?” She seemed startled but immediately brought her hands to touch my face and damn it if my wolf wasn’t back trying to push forward to get closer to her. I closed my eyes, because I know my eyes are glowing and I didn’t want to scare her. I could feel her trembling a little. Her hand still on my face I needed to stop this before it started and I ruin everything as well as ruin my relationship with Summer. Sighing with regret and feeling my heart beat faster trying to replace the right words. “Baby I know I told you there was something between us and that I felt it too. But the truth is I was wrong. I thought there was but it must have been in the heat of the moment everything was happening so fast and I think we both felt things that weren’t truly there.”

I whispered sadly opening my eyes I could tell she was shocked and extremely upset at what I said but in the blink of an eye her face changed to anger. “Look you can only speak for yourself not me. I know what I felt when we touched what I felt just then it is something. I don’t know what that something is but don’t you dare try and tell me I don’t feel it.” She said as she removed her hand from my face and dropped her head to rest on my chest probably from pain, I immediately wanted her to put it back already missing her touch. “I’m sorry I never should have said any of those things I’m mating Summer in two weeks and I need to focus on making sure there is no more rogue attacks.” I said trying to convince myself of the first part.

“Are you in love with her?” She asked lifting her head again somehow looking me dead in the eyes. Not wanting to hurt her but needing her to understand there is no us. “Yes I love her.” I said so low that I could barely hear myself. But she definitely heard me by the sound of her trying not to cry. She wiped at her eyes and I could tell the moment she put her guard up, and that hurt me more then anything.

“Please take me back to bed now I’m tired and want to sleep.” She whispered “baby the doctor said you need to stay up for an hour before you go back to sleep.” Glaring at me “Sir my medical condition is none of your concern. I am well aware of what I need to do, I don’t need you to remaind me. So just take me back to my bed please. She whispered sadly.

I turned walking out of the bathroom I laid her gentle back on the bed slowly not wanting to break contact because this will be the last time we were ever this close again. Then I heard her say. “f**k it you said you don’t feel the same way about me and it wasn’t real then this won’t bother you either. She whispered right before she pulled herself up pressing her lips against mine and It felt like she was killing me and breathing life back into my body.

Before I knew it I was on the bed with her, careful to not put my weight on her. Damn it she even tasted like watermelon and heaven. She wrapped her arm around my neck and broke out k**s to lick my neck and nip me a little and that had me growling eyes glowing but she didn’t notice because she was still licking and kissing my neck. Pulling away from her and turned so she couldn’t see my eyes or that my teeth had elongated ready to mark her as mine which would have been a total disaster.

“Sorry I have to go this was a mistake.” I said as I rush out of the door and almost ran into her cousins who eyed me suspiciously. Looking at Shadow.. “Get Hunter to guard her until the doctor releases her.” I mind linked. He nodded. I need to run to clear my head and shower before I head to my house where Summer was waiting. “Hey meet me on the west border I need to run.” I mind linked Montago. “Again I swear that girl got you by the balls.” He responded if you only knew I said to myself I’m in deep s**t.
