“How are you feeling today Miss Nelson? The doctor asked as I sat in the chair by the hospital window. Although he still wants me on bed rest I managed to beg and pleaded with him to let me sit in the recliner for an hour. He said yes but Hunter had to carry me to and from because my balance was still way off and he didn’t want me to reinjure my arm or fall and bump my head again which could kill me. So I reluctantly agreed. Hunter was really handsome, smart and funny. We had gotten to know each other these pass few days since mykahi decided he didn’t want to see or visit me anymore. I heard from the nurse that he calls damn near every hour asking if I was ok.

To say he feels nothing for me, his actions said otherwise. But I’m not in the business of forcing anyone to chose me despite the ache in my heart and the anger I feel everytime I think of him and Summer together. For some reason she make sure someone just so happen to have seen her and Mykahi together and feels the need to tell me how happy they are. I roll my eyes every time one of her goons brings Razz to visit. he comes to see me everyday and he whimpers every time he has to leave I swear his the smartest little pup I have ever seen not like I have seen any but I’m sure he’s the smartest none the less.

Turning back to the doc. “Yes I’m feeling a lot better. Will feel even better if you released me today.” I said hopeful. Smiling “I got your CT and your x-rays back and everything is healing nicely, you still have a ways to go before you’re back to normal. But I don’t see why you can’t be released today permitted that you continue bedrest and redress your arm 3 times a day.” The doctor said. “You got a deal doc.

Although Hunter has been redressing my arm I suppose my cousins can do it if a nurse shows them.” I said excitedly. The doctor gave me my antibiotics and pain med as well as a lot of first aid bandages guazes and tape for my arm. I’m on strict bedrest. Only sit for meals and a couple hours a day Hunter insisted that he would make sure I follow the rules.

I got dressed as fast as I could it was dinner time and my cousins would be here right after to spend hours with me until the nurses kicks them out. Hunter carried me to the golf cart and it felt like a dream like I had really been in prison. The sun was a bit bright but Hunter thought of everything and gave me his shades. Once I made it to Lateri’s house where the girls were staying I couldn’t contain my excitement at surprising my cousins. They will squeal in delight which would hurt like hell, but it will be worth it to see them be as happy as I am to being out.

“Hey calm down I can feel you squirming you’re going to tire yourself out before we even get to the door.” Hunter said shaking his head chuckling at me. “I can’t help it.” I said as we stepped to the door and I knocked and rang the door bell. The top of their door was a pane glass window so whoever answered would see it was me.

So lateri ushered us back into the living room and said i would sit there until one of her maids got my room ready on the first floor which was mykahi’s old room.

“Oh chocolate drop I’m so glad you’re out of that old cold hospital. You don’t know how worried you had me and the girls but now that you’re all here with me under one roof I’m the happiest Luna. Oh gosh lahni Are you hungry? of course you are that nasty hospital food is depressing. Holly can you prepare her a plate and bring it in here along with a tray please?” Lateri asked grabbing pillows stuffing them under my feet and head my cousins were getting blankets and more pillows they were so excited and ready to spoil me. I didnt need all those things but i let them because they seemed really happy to be able to help take care of me.

Clearing his throat everyone stopped to look at him. “Mother you’re overwhelming her, you’re going to tire her out and she just got home. Let’s give her some breathing room and wait for her food to come.” Turning to Hunter clearly angry about something. “Hunter you can leave now. They need an extra guard on the North border.” The alpha said dismissingly which pissed me off. Looking at him in disgust. Hunter looking confused. “But Alpha I have to redress Kyajah’s arm in an hour.” Hunter Said respectfully bowing his neck. “What did you just say.” The alpha asked coming to stand above Hunter.

Summer came out of no where wrapping her arm around him. ” I was just noticing that Summer was here as well, clearly pissed by me stealing the attention she craves. “Sweetie maybe we should go. Seems like everyone is excited to have.. her home. maybe we should give them some time to spend with her.” She said rubbing his chest clealry laying it on real thick for my benefit of course.

Turning back towards me with the same anger never taking his eyes off me. “We came here for dinner to finalize when you start your Luna training once we do that then we’ll leave.” He said turning and going back into the dinning room without waiting for a response. “What the hell is wrong with him.” She asked no one in particular “I wish I knew he has been weird lately and is avoiding me and his father. It may be stress of the rogue attacks and this God forsaken mating ceremony.” Lateri said with the look of someone who just ate a lemon and lime on a hot day. I guess he didn’t buy the whole story.

“Anyway as I was saying it obvious that me and my friends can’t work with .. them that maybe we should just cut our losses and let my friend do it. Don’t you agree honey?” Summer said looking expectantly at me. “And I disagree. My girls are always professional even if they don’t like the client and for good reason and they’ve already been paid and invested their time it will be rude and unprofessional to break the contract.” My mother said with conviction. Looking at my father for help and now all of a sudden he’s looking at everything but me. “Hey, Lahni what’s wrong? I heard from the other room I snap my head in their direction to see Ji’lahni head wobbling and eyes closed tight as if she’s in pain without thinking twice I jumped up rushing into the living with my mother and father right on my heels.

We have to pick up Razor from Feiona we’re already late.” She said with an attitude. I completely forgot Summer was still here turning back to her. “The maids have gone for tonight. You go pick up Razor and I’ll meet you at my place I won’t be long.” I said not waiting for a response. “Wait aren’t you forgetting? ” Summer asked. I frowned not knowing what the hell she was taking about. “What? ” I asked confusingly she walks up.
