The Alphas’ P**n Star Mate -
Chapter 45 – The Alphas’ Porn Star Mate
Mick didn't answer. He was still viciously glaring at Miles. I could feel the waves of hostility and defensiveness. He wasn't going to let Miles near me, and really didn't want him looking at me. I was getting worried about what this Alpha would do. "Mick," I whispered, placing my hand on his tensed back. He twitched, then started to relax under my touch, the sparks traveling between us.
"She's mine, Miles," Mick stated. "She doesn't want an Alpha and I don't want to share. If that's going to be an issue, we will just leave."
"Oh, shit," Billy muttered, looking between Mick and Miles, then his eyes landed on me, appraising me. He let out a low whistle, "So much for calling dibs."
Miles growled, showing the first signs of hostility, but it was aimed at Billy and not Mick.
"Mickey, Rodger said she would be safest here," Beau said. "We can't just leave. This is where he's expecting us to be. Cindy is heading this way tomorrow, and the others soon after."
"Who's Cindy? Is she hot? Dibs!" Billy said in a word rush.
"She's a he, but he's alright," Jamie said with all seriousness. "I'd do him."
Billy grimaced, "Yeah, no thanks."
"Safe from what?" Miles stepped forward. He looked worried.
"We had other options," Mick didn't answer Miles, looking back at Beau. "Dave said we could return to his old tribe."
"But he would have to challenge for his place again, and Riley wasn't safe there. It's why we ruled it out. Fighting off half a werebear tribe so Dave could rule with a werecat partner would make protecting Chloe an afterthought." "Then Chloe and I could-"
"Mick," I rested my hand on his face. "We went over all the options. You agreed on this too."
His brows pulled down. I could see and feel his internal battle. "You're my miracle, Chloe. Mine." His face leaned into my touch, making sparks burst into my palm. "Cara Mia."
"Così il nonno chiamava la nonna," Miles said with a gasp. My insides reluctantly quivered hearing his accent and fluent speech in whatever language that was. Maybe Italian?
"Questo è Chloe per me," Mick said back, making my legs go weak. "Just me." He looked into my eyes, "You're my mate. Miracolo mia. Cara mia."
I was having my own internal battle. I wanted to reassure him because I could sense that was what he wanted. I wanted to declare I was his too. I really did. Cortina wanted him but also wanted this new guy, so she was no help. She was prowling restlessly, anxiously watching everything unfolding.
"Guys," a woman came from the direction Miles had come. She was tall with a bob cut and a freckled face. Very pretty in a girl-next-door kind of way. She rested a hand on Miles's shoulder, which made Cortina snarl. I pressed my lips together to try and hide it, but it was already too late. Mick pulled me tightly against him after Miles's lips lifted in a small grin.
"Sorry," the girl said, quickly moving her hand away while giving me an apologetic smile. The Beta jogged over to her and I could scent they were a pair. They both had marks on their necks. "Alpha, take this back to the packhouse and talk in private. I don't think you're going to get answers here." Her eyes darkened as she stared at Miles. His darkened too. They were mind linking.
He nodded. "You're right," he sighed.
"I don't think I want to," Mick said stubbornly. I could feel his wariness.
"Mick, please," Billy pouted his bottom lip. "Seriously, man. I missed you and so did everyone else. Don't leave. Your brother and you can work through the shared mate shit later."
"Brother?" I looked at Mick. I figured they were related, but wasn't sure how. I was hoping they were second cousins or distant relatives. Not siblings.
"Twin brother," Boyd said, scowling with his arms crossed. "Bet he didn't tell you that either."

Miles POV
I sat at the head of the conference room table, the seat to my left completely empty since Mick refused it, muttering some bull shit about not being an Alpha of the pack anymore, and how he would never be an Alpha.
Not only was his seat empty, but the one next to it meant for the Luna of the pack was empty too. When I tried to offer it to Chloe, Mick snarled and dragged her with him to the opponent of the table. She rolled her eyes but took his hand and went willingly. She seemed wary of me, especially after hearing I was an Alpha. It hurt. Especially since she seems to be accepting my brother, who is an Alpha as well. If he had a wolf now, he had every right to lead beside me. If I can just get him to agree to it, that is.
There was a force inside of me commanding me to join them, but now wasn't the time to be selfish. Not when I didn't yet have answers about why my brother reluctantly brought our mate and his rogue friends to the pack.
The rogue with the backwards hat, Boyd, tried to take the free seat beside Chloe but she kicked it out from under him, making him fall on his ass instead. I snickered under my breath. When he stood back up, pulling the chair back in place to try again, one of the other guys, Beau I think, slapped him on the back of the head and pointed to the next chair over, forcing the chair that belonged next to Chloe's out of his hand. I saw her mouth "thank you" to Beau.
There was no doubt in my mind that this Boyd guy liked mine and my brother's mate. I wasn't sure how comfortable I was with welcoming him to my pack.
"If he touches mate again, he will lose his hands," Ivar muttered darkly, pressed forward and ready.
Mick, who had been warily watching the man, pulled Chloe's chair as close as it could get to his and then placed an arm around the back of her chair, his hand resting on her shoulder and playing with strands of her hair. It was a subtly possessive movement made to look like affection. When Chloe looked at him, he smiled like all was fine, but the second she looked away he was grimacing at Boyd again.
What on earth could be going on that this fiery woman needed protection so badly that Mick would put up with some slimeball like Boyd hanging around our mate?
She must have felt my eyes on her again, because her beautiful dark brown ones caught mine, and I held the gaze, willing her to talk to me. I was craving any sort of interaction with her.
As quickly as she looked at me, she looked away, back towards Mick. It looked like it took a lot of willpower to do it. When she looked at Mick, her face lit up, her eyes crinkling in their corners and her lips shyly curling up. She was breathtaking. I wanted her to look that way at me. When Mick dipped his head down and pressed his lips to hers, the craving inside me intensified. She was mine too. She should be sitting near me with Mick on her other side, welcoming both our touch, our affection, our attention, not just his.
Mick said she didn't want an Alpha. I need to know why.
I need answers for everything. Now.
"Explain yourselves," I demanded, more forcefully than I intended. Anxiety was getting the best of me. When her eyes met mine again, and I could see the tension on her face, I softened my tone. "Please."
"Yeah, Chloe," Boyd scoffed. "Explain to your third Alpha about your first Alpha mate."
