Yuri was about to make his way to Capital City, a decision kept tightly under wraps.

Only the family was in the know.

Holden hadn't expected Yuri to leave. He waited until Brittany was asleep before seeking Yuri out.

"Dad, you're really heading to Capital City?"

Yuri had been anticipating his visit and was ready for him.

He handed over a folder: "Take a seat, I've got something I need to talk to you about."

Holden was confused, "What's this?"

Upon opening it, he found shares, financial products, and several investment projects inside.

"Dad, what's all this about?"

"You've grown up as part of the Lynette family, and I've seen your contributions over the years," Yuri said solemnly. "I've decided to step down. Leaving the Lynette Conglomerate in Brittany's hands, I'm at ease."

"You have exceptional talents, I've always known that..." Yuri said with a hint of guilt. "I've tried to treat you as my own son over the years, but I couldn't manage it. Even now, my favoritism towards Brittany is undeniable." Blood ties are indissoluble.

In his eyes, Brittany was his dearest.

He admitted his selfishness; despite his efforts, he couldn't see Holden as his own son.

"This is something I've prepared for you long ago."

"It's enough to support you for the rest of your life."

Yuri's generosity was boundless; the contents of the folder were worth billions. Not just for a lifetime, but for generations to come!

Holden's eyes welled up, "Dad, I can't accept this."

He was an orphan.

Without the Lynette family's adoption, he might have starved to death on some cold night.

Yuri wasn't perfect towards him.

But over the years, he never worried about food or shelter and received the best education, the greatest opportunity to showcase his abilities. Holden was immensely grateful.

Now that he wasn't lacking money, how could he accept Yuri's offering?

"Keep it,"

Yuri leaned back in his chair, "After all we've been through as father and son, I ought to leave you something." Holden hesitated to refuse further.

"Keep these, and whether you choose to stay with the Lynette Conglomerate or set off on your own, I'll support you."

Taking the folder, Holden seemed to

make

as you significant decision, "As long

alive, I will not leave the

Lynette Conglomerate."

Yuri hadn't expected such a resolution from him.

Holden knelt suddenly, "It's you who gave me everything I have today. In my eyes, you are my father. I've lived relying on you these years. Now that you'll be in Capital City, and I can't serve by your side at all times please take care of your health."

"The Lynette Conglomerate is my home, and I won't let anyone threaten it!"

Yuri was deeply moved, "Stand up."

Yuri and Daniel booked their flight, set for next Monday.

Brittany called off work to cook a lavish dinner, a farewell feast for the family.

Holden joined in the cooking, showcasing his culinary skills.

At the dinner table, the family enjoyed a lively meal together.

After a hearty dinner, Yuri went upstairs with Daniel.

Holden and Brittany had a heart-to-heart in the garden.

"I've hoped for years that dad would retire."

Holden thought further ahead, "Dad seems strong, but his health isn't great. He's been overworking but refuses to slow down."

"Now that dad's willing to retire, I

should be the one taking care of

him. B

with us living apart, I can't

always be there, so I'm counting on

you."

"Brother-"

"Dad prepared some shares and money for me, and I've accepted it all."

Holden looked at Brittany, "You're incredibly capable. With you, the Lynette Conglomerate has a bright future."

"Brother, you're very capable too."
