Donna looked startled. "Whose kid is he? Is he good to you? What does he do?"

"Granny, he's like me, grew up in a single-parent family. He treats me well, he's just a regular guy." Brittany replied gently. "Don't worry about me, I'm doing well." Hearing this, Donna's heart ached. Her granddaughter was supposed to end up with the best guy out there.

But how did it turn out like this?

She didn't dare voice her thoughts for fear of upsetting Brittany, so she simply said, "Alright, as long as he treats you well."

Brittany chatted with Donna for a long time before they headed to the engagement venue in the afternoon.

Both families had splashed a lot of cash. They had booked the biggest banquet hall, decked out in opulence, with a palpable scent of money in the air. Hannah arrived early. "Bri."

She also greeted Donna. Donna responded with a smile; she liked Hannah for her wit and intelligence.

Robert saw them arrive. His face shifted slightly, then he stepped forward to lead Donna upstairs. As for Brittany, he didn't even glance at her.

Hannah was irked on Brittany's behalf. "What's his deal? Is he really your dad?"

Brittany was used to it. "It's alright, Hannah, let's replace a place to sit."

Hannah led her to a corner and got her some juice. "I heard the Boulton family gave a lot of presents, like ten times more than what they gave you last time." Brittany held her cup, smiling without a word.

Having said this, Hannah immediately regretted it. She slapped herself. "I'm sorry, Bri, I shouldn't have said that."

Hannah was remorseful. Why couldn't she control her big mouth? Knowing Brittany would be upset, she still said it... This was terrible!

Brittany knew she meant no harm. "Hannah, I've known this for a while, the Boulton family has always looked down on me. Patrina is the favorite and the future heiress, why would they slight her?" Upon hearing this, Hannah felt for Brittany. "They don't deserve you."

Upstairs in the dressing room.

Patrina was already in her wedding dress. Sydney pushed the door and saw she was ready, she smiled and greeted, "I saw Brittany has arrived, she came alone."

"Yeah, I checked, her fiancé is just an ordinary guy," Patrina responded casually.

Sydney was puzzled.

The CEO of Grandeur Capital, the heir of the Salter family, just an ordinary guy?

Wait a minute-

Does the Dustin family not know who Brittany's fiancé is?

"Patty, have you met her fiancé?"

Patrina shook her head. "No, I guess he must be someone unremarkable, otherwise, why wouldn't Brittany bring him?"

Sydney smiled, mulling over rapidly in her head. Brittany and Isaac must have had a falling out, otherwise, why would Brittany move?

She knew it, Brittany was not worthy of her cousin's affection! Since the Dustin family didn't know her cousin's identity, she could very well exploit this information. "Patty, you're right, Brittany is not fit to be here."

"I want to tell you, she won't be content with marrying an ordinary guy. She must be trying to seduce Finn behind the scenes.'

Patrina thought of the comment Finn inadvertently made when trying on the wedding dress, which made her grind her teeth in hatred.

"I see."

Sydney seized the opportunity and left.

A group of friends came over, pointing in Brittany's direction. "Ms. Ramsey, Brittany really came. She was dressed so stunningly, was she trying to seduce Finn?" Everyone knew how deep and enduring Brittany's feelings for Finn were.
