Christy’s heart skipped a beat!
Chapter 81
Christy had to admit, Joshua resembled a loving and benevolent father at this moment. The expression on Joshua’s face clearly showed his overflowing love for his children, which gave him a special kind of charm only mature men had.
Joshua was looking at the photos of two children growing up.
The photos captured the precious moments of the two children from as young as infants in a swaddle, to the first time they learned to crawl, learned to walk, and their first day in kindergarten.
The children always had a beautiful shine, adorable like little angels on earth, no matter which photo.
Their smiles were innocent and lovely, their eyes were pure and clear as the sky. It was evident they had a carefree and joyous childhood under the care and protection of their mother.
Joshua had to admit Christy took very good care of his children over the years.
Despite so, Joshua could not help but feel regretful.
After all, although he was the father, he was completely absent from the lives of these children in the past five years and missed every bit of the children’s growth.
Now that he had found his children, he would never allow himself to miss out on the moments of these children’s lives again.
Joshua spent an awful lot of time on each photo as if he wanted to imprint them in his head.
Seeing that Joshua was browsing through the album and did not seem like he was not going to stop any time soon, Christy started packing everything into her luggage.
Having lived there for quite some time, Christy was actually a little reluctant to leave.
After Christy was done packing, seeing that Joshua had yet to come out, she decided to rest on the sofa.
The alcohol from the two glasses of red wine started to gradually invade Christy’s brain and slowly brought out the fatigue she had accumulated throughout the day.
When Joshua came out of the room, Christy had already dozed off and fallen asleep leaning on the sofa.
Christy’s long eyelashes hung above her eyes like tiny bead curtains, against her unmatched delicate face with flushed face, making her look like a sound–asleep doll.
Likely because Christy was too exhausted, she slept with her apron on after finishing cleaning up.
The pink lace apron did not make her look indecent at all. Instead, it gave her an ordinary stay–home girl kind of adorable feeling.
Joshua had never seen Christy act so casually in front of him. However, at this moment, Christy also exuded a special kind of natural beauty.
Joshua’s gaze was involuntarily attracted to this little woman.
Suddenly, Joshua felt a fiery flame burning in his heart that kept getting hotter, making him feel thirstier.
It was as if this woman was the only thing that could quench Joshua’s thirst.
Feverish. Joshua swallowed hard.
“Why? This woman is so ordinary, so superficial, and unreasonable even. Why am I so crazy about her?” Joshua could not help but wonder.
“Hmph! Why try to be a hero when you know you can’t drink? See, now you got yourself drunk.”
Joshua laughed at Christy for being such a lightweight.
But Joshua was just roasting, he knew Christy would not be comfortable sleeping like this. Therefore, he walked over and wanted to help her move into a comfortable sleeping position, or at least let her sleep lying down.
When Joshua reached out to hug Christy’s shoulder, she fell into his arms.
A gust of aromatic wind with a faint mellow smell of wine blew into Joshua’s nose.
It was no smell of synthetic perfume, but Christy’s natural body fragrance.
It seemed Christy gave off various kinds of fragrances in different environments. It was inconstant and charming.
When Joshua first met Christy in the office, her fragrance was like a cup of warm and fragrant latte, making Joshua linger in
the aftertaste of it.
During that night at the villa after the shower, Christy’s fragrance resembled an orchid blooming under the moonlight, bringing out Joshua’s desires.
Chapter 81
At this moment, Joshua felt as if he was standing beside a lake on a drizzly and slightly windy evening, a flower petal slowly fell into his glass of red wine, engulfing him in a world of intoxicating charm.
Like a stone thrown into a silent lake, a bell blown by a gust of wind, Joshua’s heart started rippling, beating more and more rapidly. He was smitten.
He narrowed his eyes and looked at the defenseless woman in his arms.
Christy lay in Joshua’s arms like an obedient tiny kitten.
Christy slept peacefully. Her beautiful face was a little less stubborn and arrogant, a little more charming and lovely than usual. It made Joshua involuntarily feel attracted to her.
A slightly sinister grin appeared on Joshua’s face, and a dangerous and arrogant light flashed in his eyes, like a lion that had caught its prey.
Joshua’s thirst kept getting stronger.
The flame in his heart had spread like wildfire.
Joshua stared at Christy and sneered.
“Christy, you started this fire, so you have to put it out…”
Joshua had only taken a tiny sip earlier, and he had yet to have enough of that sweet taste.
Therefore, Joshua held Christy’s chin up, adjusted the angle, and slowly lowered his head to kiss her.
Unlike the two previous times, Joshua was not rejected again this time. Christy was as obedient as a puppet.
Joshua invaded every inch of Christy’s mouth with no resistance. It was the first time he had tasted so much sweetness in that forbidden space behind her lips so vividly. Gradually, he started to feel drunk too.
Joshua withdrew from Christy’s lips. then slowly kissed his way down along her chin.
Christy’s skin was tender and smooth as milk–soaked silk. Joshua could not wait to leave his traces on her.
Joshua was about to unbutton Christy’s front so that their two heaving hearts could get closer. I
At this moment, Christy whispered something in her dreams.
“Don’t abandon me….
“I don’t want to be alone…”
Crystal–clear tears condensed from Christy’s eyelashes. Before Joshua could wipe the tears off, they had already fallen down. Christy’s smooth face like tiny pearls.
Joshua paused for a moment.
Who is this woman dreaming about? Why is she crying so sadly?
Does she have someone else in her heart other than me?‘ Joshua wondered.
He felt a little bitter.
Over the years, Joshua had never allowed any other woman into her heart. Plus, he had never touched another woman other than this woman in front of him.
Yet, Christy never treasured him.
Christy fooled around with other men during the day, even asleep she thought of another man. Joshua felt extremely unfairly treated.
He could not help but feel a little defeated.
When Joshua realized this emotion he was feeling, he was annoyed.
He, Joshua Melendez, the president of Stellar Group, longed for th

However, young Christy never could understand.
Young Christy was depressed. She wondered every day, why did her parents abandon her and go somewhere so far away, why did they not take her with them?
Her mother left nothing but a ring.
Later, Christy was sent to an orphanage and was soon adopted by a wealthy man with the surname “Osborn“.
However, that new home was not warin either.
She did heavy labor every day, and her new mother and sister only treated her as a maid.
