This is Book two and a continuation of My Mate Is A Human

Where the mountains were painted white, and the wind is reluctant, bringing with it an icy breeze, for everyone who lived there; It lay at the top, the castle of a great alpha. The king and leader of each wolf, of each existing pack.

No matter how small it was, or how dissolved it was, Eren was the king of every wolf pack that existed. Even if he was born a human, everyone was accountable to this leader who guided each alpha of each pack along the right path.

In order for each group of wolves to know how to defend themselves from any enemy. As king, he was obliged to receive any alpha who decided to visit his castle for some advice, or supplies.

Also, Eren made certain trips to the packs, in order to give some warnings to certain alphas who did not follow the laws. There were always certain wayward wolves who needed a strong hand to be able to take control of their own people.

Unfortunately, since their father disappeared many years ago, some wolves had become reluctant to follow his orders; But with the passage of time almost all of his people accepted him, and just as they admitted him as his King, it was the same for Queen Valentina and his son Bardas the second.

As the moons passed, his kingdom was at peace, and many managed to live their lives without the constant harassment of wild wolves. That was a relief for the king.

That afternoon, Eren was walking through the corridor of his castle, preparing to go to the room where he would receive a guest who had not visited him in a long time. It was very strange for him that this alpha came to see him, since he never had any problems with him.

Eren quickened his pace to meet him, seeing that his scent was present immediately after they told him that they were waiting for him.

As soon as the King opens the heavy oak doors, he looks up and looks at Ethan, the alpha was looking out the huge window that overlooked the vast nature that existed around the castle.

—Ethan! —Exclaims the alpha king—. I was surprised by your visit, and even more so when you didn’t notify in advance that you were coming—Eren walks towards him with complete confidence.

—Eren, I’m glad to see you home. He was afraid you were on some expedition.

With a strong handshake, the two alphas greet each other. Of all the alphas Eren knew, Ethan was the only one he allowed to be on first name terms with him. The king had learned of the wolf’s exploits, of how brave, strong and powerful he was when facing Lucian’s son alone.

For that reason, he had earned her respect, and consent to be treated as his equal. At that time, they were just two ordinary wolves. Eren couldn’t deny it, Ethan was a very powerful wolf, there was a lot said about the inner wolf in him.

His father told him that there were no black wolves with blue eyes, and Ethan was the only wolf that had been born with those traits. His own wife, the queen, was a black wolf, but her eyes were dark, so she was nothing special. But that wolf before him was.

Eren remembered the time he sent a messenger to his village asking him to become his right-hand man, but the alpha refused, claiming that he preferred to take care of his pack. On the other hand, the king was aware of the nature of that wolf’s wife, the girl was a human. She was one that she could not turn into a wolf, much less mark, because she did not possess royal b***d like him.

As far as he knew, the woman continued with her cycle of aging, while Ethan remained as youthful as always. That was the problem with falling in love with a human, if you didn’t have royal b***d running through your veins, your moon would die from any type of disease in case this she was human.

It was a pity that Ethan had to suffer such bad luck, since he as king could not intervene in the affairs of human nature.

—I arrived three days ago, you have had some luck, old friend.

“So it seems, my trip was blessed.” The alpha smiles at his king.

“Come on, let’s sit down and drink some wine.” A few years ago my messengers informed me that you had a daughter. Could your wife handle the birth?

—It was complicated, but he was able to bring her into the world.

—Haven’t they had more puppies? —Curious question, since in all those years he was never informed of another birth of the blue moon alpha’s wife.

—Shery can’t have more puppies, after Adara’s birth, she had two more pregnancies, but she couldn’t finish them. The matriarch of the pack told her that she could no longer have any more cubs after the last loss—she responds with a bit of nostalgia.

—I’m very sorry, my friend. Humans are very fragile.

It was normal for that to happen, Shery was only human, so much so that she was able to bring Ethan’s first child into the world. Her body was not resistant like that of a wolf, at least they did not keep trying, since that could take the woman’s life.

—I’m very sorry that your wife can’t give you more puppies. I know that being the alpha of a pack and only having a cub as a daughter is not what any alpha would want. But, I’m sure Adara will be a good leader.

—I know, she’s strong. I know she will be a good pack leader the day I am gone.

—Has she already transformed?

There were so many things that Eren had to deal with, that she was not aware of all the transformations of his people.

—Yes, Adara is a white wolf —The news surprised Eren, he did not expect her to be an albino, since her father was black and her mother was human. I always imagined that she would inherit her father’s traits.

—Albino?

—I was with her when it happened, I don’t know how she is albino, but she is…

—I’m surprised that she is, but; Likewise, even though she is albino, she will be the leader of the blue moon pack. No matter how capricious Deisy may be.

Ethan is silent for a moment, since he remembers that, when Deisy found out that her daughter was albino, she asked him for it. She alleged that because she was a white wolf she deserved to be in her pack, not mixed with colored wolves.

The alpha mentally denied, that arrogant albino was still a racist. Of course she was still in love with him, and hating Shery, that’s why she insisted on staying with her daughter.

However, even if Shery wasn’t a wolf, she almost beat Deisy out of the pack. For a human, she was very strong, she would not allow anyone to take her only daughter. The alpha, who agreed with his wife, chose to throw Deisy out of the blue, warning her not to insist on taking her daughter again.

But that was about 8 years ago, the albino did not insist on the issue again, and since then her daughter lived quietly in the pack, mixing with all the wolves. She was the only one who stood out, and of course, she caught the attention of any wolf that had made her move.

But her daughter wasn’t interested in any, as far as she knew, she hadn’t caught the scent of her wolf. So she was still waiting to meet her future partner.

—At first, it was a problem. But then I got rid of her,” she answers, taking a drink. My daughter doesn’t want to leave the pack, so she doesn’t worry me at all that Deisy is bothering me.

—I have learned that she did not marry anyone, and she still has no children.

—Listen, it’s a shame. Honestly, sometimes I feel guilty.

—You shouldn’t, it’s not your fault. You don’t choose those things, Ethan.

—How is Megan? I know she’s married to your beta.

—They have many puppies, they live very close to my house.

Eren watches his friend’s expression, and he knows something is not right. That unexpected visit was not normal, he didn’t travel so far to talk about the family, something was happening.

“Why did you come, Ethan?” —Eren takes a sip of wine—. What is happening? Does your unexpected visit have to do with Shery?

—Yes, it is because of her that I am here, Eren —The alpha observes his king deadly seriously —. I need you to help me with my wife, she is life or death.

Judging by that face, Eren knew that something was definitely wrong with Shery. And if that was so, his messenger was going to have a lot of problems, since his duty was to inform him of everything that was happening in each pack.
