The Gamma’s Heart – Chapter 10

Noah POV

After she signed her “get out of jail papers” as she called them. I linked Chase to let his parents know she was ready, and needed a change of clothes.

Hearing a knock on the door, I looked over and smiled, as Abigail rushed towards her daughter I elbowed Wyatt, who was playimg on his phone, he grunted and then looked up.

I could feel through the bond how happy she was to see her mom. “We’ll be outside, the room so that you can help her get dressed Mrs. Baker.” I said as I pulled my cousin out the room.

“What if she needs help?” he said.

“You just want to see her naked” I teased.

“What me? No, never!” he paused for a second, I raised an eyebrow at him as a smirk developed. “Okay yes I did. But can you blame me? I never even saw Sara naked. Man’s a bit…thoughtful?”

I let out a laugh, “You’re telling me that you and Sara never did the deed?”

Wyatt shook his head. “Nope. She and I stayed friends after I found out Clara was my mate. We stayed together so nobody knew, but no we didn’t. Sara has even been asking me how she is doing while she’s away.”

“Sara’s thoughtful I’ll give her that.” I mumbled.

“So Noah, have you had s*x yet?” I nodded my head. “A couple times, nothing worth bragging about though.”

Wyatt nodded towards the door. “I think she has. Once though, it was a few months after I turned 17, so she was maybe 15 almost 16 I think. All I know is there was a huge party for the end of the school year and all the teenagers went,”

I stared at him with wide eyes “Damn our mate is an animal.” I joked, Wyatt shook his head. “There was alcohol involded Noah, my guess is she was drinking and ended up having a one night stand.”

“And you felt everything?” he shrugged, “kind of, because she wasn’t at the age to realize who I was it was more of a dull pain. Lasted maybe a half hour.” I looked back at the door

“I’m curious who it was.” Wyatt sighed, “Brother don’t go down that rabbit hole. I already tried and got nowhere.” I nodded my head “We could always ask her who-” I quickly shut up when the door opened.

Wyatt turned around and moved so he was out of their way. However seeing as she had her right arm in a sling and her left leg was still in a cast I found it almost unbearable to watch as she tried to walk with the crutch under her arm.

Her curls were up in a ponytail, a few pieces fell out as she struggled to move, I walked over, and Abigail moved seeing me, I grabbed the crutch and looked down at her, “May I?” I asked her with a smile on my lips, she nodded her head.

I handed the walking device to her mother, and leaned down some and picked her up bridal style. Clara let out a small gasp, as I stood upright. I chuckled lightly at her. “I’ve got you angel. No way am I letting you fall. Not on my watch,”

“Or mine,” Wyatt chimed in.

Hearing her giggle, I couldn’t help the smile that formed on my face, I felt Kane press forward so he could see through my eyes. He let out a small purr as we looked down at her as we walked. “Take it easy buddy,” I scolded my wolf

“But I can’t talk to her wolf, she’s still being blocked by that damn poison running through her system.” he huffed and I chuckled at him.

Clara looked up at me a small smile on her face. “What’s so funny?” Rolling my eyes at my wolf who outright refused to go back to his place. “Kane, is a little upset because he can’t talk to your wolf, and is currently sitting at the forefront of my head so he can see you.” I said, the pink on her cheeks didn’t go unnoticed by me or Wyatt.

“Every time I talk to her she’s always half asleep, but Clary told me that she’s slowly getting her strength back. Another day or two, so don’t worry so much big guy.” Clara said and looked over at Wyatt.

“Yeah Axel has been doing the same thing all morning.” he told her “May I ask what color she is?” Wyatt asked her. “I don’t know. There’s always something blocking me from seeing her.”

I stopped and looked down at her. “You’ve never seen your wolf? But you can hear her talking to you?” I asked, she nodded her head. I looked up at her mother who wore a worried expression.

“She told me that both of you were our mate, I can also feel her emotions, and she’s been talking to me since I was a kid, actually since I woke up in the hospital after I set the couch on fire. I still don’t know how I got a hold of those matches.” She mumbled the last part but we all heard her.

“Clara that’s not normal, our wolf don’t appear until we turn 15” she simply shrugged not really caring to continue the topic.

As we walked outside I felt her relax, she’s been tense the whole way through the corridors of the hospital. She took in a big breath of the air and I noticed goosebumps raise on her arms.

“Better than the hospital air?” I heard Wyatt ask her. “So much better, I love being outside.”

I smiled, I haven’t met a single teenager her age that prefers to be outdoors. Most would rather go inside with the fresh air conditioning. “She’s not lying. I had to bribe her with treats and extra dessert at dinner to get her to come inside all the time as a kid.” her mother laughed.

When we reached Abigail’s car Wyatt quickly opened the passenger door for me, so I could put her in. I gently sat her on the seat, after making sure she was comfortable, I fastened her seatbelt.

“Thank you Noah,” Clara whispered to me, she leaned up a bit and kissed my cheek. Her cheeks were slightly pink as she looked away from me. Turning her face back towards me, I leaned down and placed a gentle k**s on her lips.

“Now that’s how you say thank you” I mumbled against her lips, leaning back up, I moved so Wyatt could tell her goodbye. I seen he only pecked her cheek, which was now flaming red from my cousin and I.

I looked up at Abigail, “I’ll see you around 6 this evening.” She nodded her head and got into her vehicle.

After Wyatt closed the door on Clara’s side we moved back some so she could leave. Wyatt and I watched as she drove away with our mate.
