The Innocent Wife of Scheming President
Chapter 134: The Sparrow Can't Fly on a Branch and Become the Phoenix

Even if Olive felt disappointed in her heart, she also knew it was the result, but she said in lighttone, "Does this have anything to do with me?”

"Olive, although I can not get Mr. Hoyle's favor, you, this sparrow can't fly on a branch and becomea phoenix, either.” Susie said fiercely, crumpled the envelope with money that Ted had just returnedto her into a ball and laughed secretly, even if you were smart, you only had the chance to go onerrands for Miss Meyer.

Naturally, Olive had no mind and no interest in talking to this woman. There was such a kind ofperson in the world who took pleasure in attacking others and wanted to win others everywhere, infact, that kind of person felt so inferior in their hearts, they only had to use every means to winothers to prove their strength and excellence. Olive hung up directly, she never thought aboutbeing a phoenix, nor did she want to explain more.

But Susie seemed unwilling to put the matter down and called again, Olive let the cell phone ring. When she got tired of calling, she naturally stopped. But Olive really underestimated this woman'sindefatigable perseverance, she made several calls in succession and had the momentum that shewould not stop unless Olive answered the call

Olive had no choice but to power off her cell phone decisively so that had peace for her ears.

But Susie was shrewd, Olive didn't expect that she would call the landline telephone in the office, she thought it was a call about work, when she answered the call, she heard her angry voice,"Whydid you hang up on me and power off your cell phone?"

Olive was patient,"Assistant Maltz, You are neither my boss nor my colleague, nor my friend now. Idon't think I have anything to say to you. If you call to replace the psychological balance, I'm sorry, you've got the wrong person. If your call has nothing to do with my work, please don't bother meagain, I'm very busy."

Suddenly Olive felt a burst of sadness. To Susie, she could ignore or fight back without fear, but tothe people of the Hoyle and Meyer family, she had no such courage. Was this what people often sayabout bullying the weak and fearing the strong?Although Susie was not necessarily a weak andincompetent woman, but compared to the Hoyle and Meyer family, she really couldn't match afinger.

"What are you angry about? You just got a little appreciation from Mr. Geve, what are you arrogantabout?" In fact, there was a reason why Susie cared. When she was with the young master of theGeve family, Norton clearly expressed that he was against it and also gave her embarrassment. AndNorton had always appreciated Olive, and now he even gave the whole hotel to Olive, which madeher very uncomfortable.

Olive was really speechless, why was there such a person in the world? Who on earth was morearrogant? Olive simply put the microphone on the table, out of the office and left her alone to talkthere. Anyway, she didn't need to pay for the wasting telephone bill.

Then she arrived at the door of the chairman's office, knocked twice and heard a voice inside,"Come in."

Olive pushed open the unlocked door and saw Mr. Geve's body deeply sinking into the soft chairwith the real leather and facing out of the french window. She couldn't see his expression, but shesaw a jade pendant in his hand that had just been put into his pocket, the red rope hanging fromthe pendant had faded its color, it had been covered with old white after many years.

Norton turned the chair around and saw that it was her, his demure face gave a smile,"Olive, it'syou, what's wrong?"

"There are some documents for you to read and sign.” Olive opened the folder and handed it tohim.

Norton signed as soon as he picked up the pen, without looking at them.

Olive said,"You signed them all at once?"

Norton asked in reply,"Do I still have to doubt that you have played a trick in them?"

Olive giggled, when he finished signing, she closed the folder and hugged it in her arms.

"Olive, sit down."Norton put the pen in the bamboo tube of craft as if he was going to talk for along time.

Olive sat down and leaned forward slightly,"Mr. Geve, what are your orders?"

"No, I just feel you have something on your mind today.” Norton said with smiling, a little insightflashed through the his benevolent eyes.

Olive said with smiling,"Where did you see that?"

The state of her work today was still good. But then, the busy work could make her temporarilyforget that person and the things that bothered her.

"When you were in a meeting, you were often distracted. Others didn’t see it, but I have the piercingeyes."Norton looked like an old urchin, he also winked and made signs to her.

"Maybe, because I didn't sleep well last night."Olive was embarrassed, didn't know how to answerand gave the most unsuitable reason. She thought she had done a good cover-up,but the old gingerwas hotter than new,he could judge a person accurately.

"How do I feel that you are thinking about someone?"Norton laughed ambiguously and amusingly, there was a sense of inquiry in his eyes.
