Chapter 309 Provocation

Two days later, Rosie was discharged from the hospital. Elias and Taylor came to pick her up. When Elias arrived at the ward, Rosie had changed into a fresh set of clothes and was waiting for them. She looked at Elias with a smile. "Elias."

"Let's go. We're going to Winters Estate right away. Taylor has told me about your condition. You need a hot spring, and we have one at our home," said Elias. He thought Rosie had no idea about this, but it was actually part of her plan.

"Since I'm leaving soon, can I see your son before that? You promised we could meet. Please? Just for a little while." Rosic still had her innocent smile on.

Elias hesitated for a moment. "I'll take you to him right now, but only for a bit. He needs to rest."

"Sure. Just for a bit."

Elias led her to the boy's ward and knocked on the door, Amanda said, "Come in." Thinking it was a nurse coming for a checkup, Amanda stood up and turned around. When she saw Elias leading Rosie in, her smile froze.

"What are you-"

Elias answered, "She's here to see Aiden. Just for a bit, and she'll leave. She's discharged."

Amanda couldn't say no. This woman did save her son, so she agreed tacitly.

Rosic approached the bed with a smile. She noticed how similar the boy and Aiden were, and her heart sank. He's obviously Aiden's son. They look so alike. There's no need for a paternity test.

The nurse knocked on the door and came in. "Aiden's family? The doctor wishes to see you."

"Yeah, right away." Amanda looked at Elias. "You stay with Aiden. I'll see the doctor.

She was about to leave, but the nurse said, "Both parents need to be present. Doctor's orders."

Both? That was a dilemma. If they were both gone, then Amanda would be alone with the boy. That was not acceptable.

Yacob came back to the ward. "I've been looking for you guys, so this is where you've been. Let's go. The paperwork is done." Yacob was surprised to see Amanda here.

Yacob, you stay here with Aiden. We'll have to see the doctor," said Elias.

"Huh? Oh, okay. Understood." Yacob paused for a moment, then he understood why his employer wanted him to do this.

Yacob's presence eased Amanda, and she left with Elias. Still, she was a bit worried. Even when she was walking with Elias, her mind was still on her son. "I wonder if Rosie's going to do anything to him." "You're thinking too much. She wouldn't dare. If she wanted to hurt him, she wouldn't have donated her marrow," said Elias.

That was a good point. Amanda had no idea why Rosie would help Aiden. She couldn't fathom what was going on in her head.

Back in the ward, Rosie was staring at the boy. He looked just like Elias, and that fact made her jealous. Why am I not the mother of this child? She had a smile on her face, but her nails were digging into her thumb, yet she felt no pain. Only jealousy was burning within her. "What's your name, boy? I'm Rosic."

"Who cares? I'm not telling you my name." Looking at Rosie, Aiden felt a strong sense of dislike welling up within him, so he refused to tell Rosie his name,

Yacob didn't realize how odd this conversation sounded, so he didn't stop it. Did she really change? Has she really let go of Mr. Elias? I mean, she donated her marrow and came to see the boy. It's like she really likes kids.

Just then, Yacob's phone rang. It was from his subordinate. He looked at Rosie and went into the bathroom to take the call, but he left the door ajar so he could keep an eye on Rosie. Rosie knew that, so she kept her innocent smile on. "I know what your name is, Aiden."

Shocked, the boy asked, "How did you replace out? Who told you?”

What an idiot, Rosic thought. The nurse announced your name when she came in. "I just know. I'm getting discharged today, and if you're good, you'll be discharged in no time too." "When can I get out of this place? Why are you allowed to leave?" the boy asked naively. He couldn't. understand why he wasn't allowed to leave.

The conversation was normal, and nothing out of the ordinary popped up. Yacob had been keeping a close eye, but the banality of the conversation bored him, so he focused on the call and got distracted. from the conversation.

Rosie turned around to look at Yacob for a moment. Realizing he was immersed in his call, she huddled closer to the boy and whispered, "Because your father let me. I'm going to his house and dip in his hot spring. It's awesome. You and your mother have never tried it before."

It sounded gentle, but that answer hit the boy hard. It was a clear provocation even for the boy. "Wait, how come you get to go? I want to go too! The boy was fuming. Hey, why does this weird lady get to go while Mommy and I don't get that chance?

Rosie smiled. "Tell your father about it. He loves you so much, so I bet he'll say yes. Tell him to let your mommy stay at the estate. You can soak in the hot spring all you want after that."

you and

"Yeah, that's what I'll do!" The boy stomped his foot and turned around, refusing to talk to this weird. woman. For some reason, he found Rosie to be despicable.

Yacob's call ended, and he came out of the bathroom. Noticing Aiden's tantrum, he asked, "What is it, Mr. Aiden? You seem angry with someone."

Rosie smiled. "Elias' son is so adorable."

"When can I leave this place? I want to leave the hospital too," Aiden protested.

Yacob looked at Rosie and patiently told the boy, "In a few days, Mr. Aiden, so be good now."
