The Lycan Series
Bullied By The Lycan King Chapter 32

Violet's POV

I couldn't sleep despite the cramps I still felt between my legs. After my bath back in Axel's room, it had significantly reduced but it was still present.

As soon as the first rays of the sun filtered through my room, I walked out of my room and this time, I made sure to lock it under the key before rushing to Hilda's quarters. I got to her door and gave the door a good knock.

The door flew open seconds later and she had her eyes on me like I had gotten the wrong door.

"May I come in?" I blurted out as my eyes scanned the corridor for the tenth time ever since she pulled the door open.

She poked her head out of the room and looked outside. The corridor was fairly clear.

"What do you want, Violet? You should be at work..." She said raising her brows like she was reminding me she shouldn't have.

"I know. But this is very important!" I gritted.

With one last uncertain look, she stepped aside and gave me an opening to step through.

She closed the door behind her but stood with her back against the door and she crossed her arms, glaring at me.

What I had come to do was so important that I didn't even spare the condition of her room a second thought.

"This had better be important Violet."

I passed my tongue over my lips and brought my fisted hands together. "I have information that could save the king. You are the only one I trust. Who can we tell?"

She corked her brows but she maintained her position without flinching.

"You work for the King, Violet," she pointed out like she was talking to a little child.

"If you have any problem, as a princess, who do you run to?" She asked.

I got her point but she wasn't getting mine. Before I could speak, she pulled the door open.

"Get to work, Violet. I am going to have a long day and I don't have time to deal with you right now!"

"I can't speak to Axel!" I cried out and her straight face contorted into a frown.

She looked outside of her room and then closed the door. When she was done with that, she grabbed my arm and led me further into her quarters to a different room which was like a mini without an area. "You are a slave Violet. If anyone else hears you calling the king by his name, you will be killed! No mercy!" She reprimanded.

"I am sorry," I said and she waved it aside.

"Now why can't you tell the King?"

"He never believes me. He will end up thinking I have false intentions or that I am making it up but I promise you, Hilda. I am not."

Her wise eyes remained on mine for a while before she got up from the chair and moved to pick up her coat. That was when I noticed the small shorts she had on.

"For your own sake, I hope this information is as important as you say it is," she mumbled as she slipped into a pair of trousers and wrapped her coat around her waist. "Someone is trying to kill the King." I breathed.

I expected her to shriek -or change her current expression at least but she paused with what she was doing and scoffed.

"Axel, can't be killed. My mother made sure of that. If he could, your father would have killed him when he had the chance."

She started taking off her coat and hissed. "Wasting my time!"

Quickly, I rushed to her and held her hands. "No, I am not lying. This is very important. I wish I could tell you but I want to-" I held back my tongue and swallowed my words. Her eyes narrowed and she moved closer to me. "What do you want to do Violet?"

I massaged my temples and hugged myself. She was going to replace out anyway, so there was no need to hide it.

"I want to bargain with the information I have for my parents' safety..." Her eyes expanded in shock but before she could speak, I quickly restructured my words.

"I know they are monsters and they did a lot... of terrible things and all but- they are my parents. I can't change that and the best I can hope for is maybe a better place to stay..."

She let her tongue move through her teeth and then she shook her head. "Alright, that's fair enough. Let's go see beta Greg," she said and turned to the exit.

Quickly, I followed behind her and soon enough we stopped in front of a certain door and she gave two sharp knocks before she pushed the door open. "You are here too early..." A deep baritone voice I recognized as the older man who always sat by Axel and who had defended me.

"Forgive me Beta Greg but I brought someone with me," Hilda said lowering her head.

I mirrored her actions, quickly lowering my head not wanting to anger the man that could potentially help me in this matter.

"Yes, I know." He raised his head and looked directly at me. "Princess Violet. How may I help you?"

I swallowed the lump in my throat and straightened my posture.

"I have information about a plot against the king," I said and his demeanor inline Hilda, became a lot stronger as my words settled into the air.

"Who is making this plot? Hilda, do you know about this?"

"She came to me about five minutes ago and I brought her here immediately," she replied.

He moved his eyes from Hilda and rested them on me. "So? What is it?"

I swallowed the lump in my throat again and cleared my throat. "I want something in return for the information."

He dropped the pen he was holding and tilted his head to the right a bit. "How can I trust you, princess?"

"I give you my word. I am not lying. I got this information directly from the source because they thought they could buy me over," I said. My confidence was slowly starting to build and I let it guide me. Greg's eyes turned into slits as he stared at me. "Interesting... For someone who has done nothing but hurt you, I can't help but wonder why you are helping him..."

"That's why I have a condition. I am not helping him because I want to. I am doing it because it is the only option I have."

"And what is this option?" His deep voice growled, bouncing over the walls of the room.

"I want my parents moved out of that depressing dungeon. I am not asking for their release. I am just asking for a more comfortable place for them... Please," I said desperately, looking into him for an answer. He studied me for a second before he let out a sigh. "Your parents are special prisoners. I can't move them how I see fit without King Axel's approval. Do you understand?"

My confidence started dwindling. I couldn't tell him directly because I feared he would not believe me and now I was stuck again.

How could I make him fulfill my condition if I couldn't tell him this information?

Damn it!

"But, I can give you an entity letter that states that if your parents don't get removed from that room, they will surely be getting proper care even from there."

His words made a lot more sense than meeting a roadblock with Axel.

"That's a good deal," I said and he nodded. He turned and motioned to the chairs in the office.

Hilda and I settled into them then we watched as he went around the table and sat in a chair too.

"So, what is this huge controversy? Who is planning it?" He asked as soon as he settled into his seat.

"She has people working for her in the palace. So she can know a lot of things. She said she wants the king dead and she wanted me to help her..."

Hilda was quiet as she watched me speak but not Greg.

"Who are you talking about?" Greg asked.

"The widow," I blurted out and his eyes darkened.

"Are you sure about this?" Hilda questioned by my side. "She seemed pretty harmless to me... A little crazy but nothing more."

"She said she was offering me a chance. A new revolution."

"No, that can't be right..." Hilda was saying with a shake of her head but Greg raised his hand to her.

"I believe her."

"Really? Why?" Hilda retorted. "The widow came to you too?"

"No, she wouldn't dare. But I have never felt comfortable around her since the very first day... There is something about her..."

"And you think it is a plot against the King of Alphas... The Lycan King?" Hilda pointed out. "You do know he can't be killed, right? My mother made sure of that." "There is someone else working with her..."

They turned to me with varying levels of shock and I took a deep breath.

"Savannah."
