The Lycan Series -
Bullied By The Lycan King Chapter 47
Violet's
POV
My sweet sleep finally came to an end, and I knew I had to come back to reality. And my reality was for me to replace a way to save my parents.
Axel's softness toward me had just proven that I had a chance. I just needed to make sure that I did nothing to provoke him and he might bend to my will.
I got off the bed and walked to the door. It was time I finally returned to my room but before I got to it, the door developed a mind of its own and opened.
I stopped walking and my brows furrowed.
Just as the door opened, a very beautiful woman with multiple piercings in her face and ears, stepped in with a big smile as her eyes fell on me.
"And you must be Violet, fuck he was right! You are f*****g beautiful!" She exclaimed and before I could make sense of what was going on, she wrapped her arms around me in a tight hug.
"I like you already!" She squeaked happily and the confusion in my head only grew larger.
"I am sorry, who are you?" I asked.
She broke away from me and roamed her overly excited eyes over my body.
"Such fire..." She whispered more to herself than to me.
"Excuse me?" I asked again, suddenly feeling uncomfortable.
I didn't know if female wolves had a thing for other females but the way she kept staring at me brought other thoughts to my head.
She finished staring shamelessly at my body and then returned her eyes to mine. Rather than reply to my question, she walked to the bed and lowered herself.
"I am Emily. King Talon's only sister and Axel's aunt plus godmother I am also the Luna in the lands up south," she beamed with pride dancing in her voice. "You must admit, I have a good f*****g amount of titles, right?"
So Axel had an aunt, I thought in my head.
During our time together as children he never mentioned anything about his family, he always said it was too painful to think about. I knew this was mostly because he had lost them during the war and one of his greatest wishes was to be reunited with them again. I figured this for him meant when he died too he would be with them but apparently he had other plans.
"Don't you live in here, I can't fucking replace a dress... Only his clothes," she said, her voice pulling me out of my thoughts.
I raised my head in the direction of her voice and I found her rummaging through Axel's wardrobe.
"I don't stay here permanently. I only spent the night. Do you perhaps need to borrow a dress or something?" I asked and her hands paused.
"Me, fucking borrow dresses!" She asked, her brows knitting together in a tight line. "I am not fucking need them, I want to get one for you. Or do you intend to walk around the mansion looking like this?"
My brows only furrowed further at her answer. "Why do you want to replace me a dress?"
"Oh, we are going out. I need to see a family friend and as Axel's mate, you have to accompany me," she beamed.
"But I am not his... Mate. I am just his," my voice lowered and then I completed the word. "... his mistress."
She came to stand by me and placed her hand on my shoulder. "That my dear is already a f*****g clear indication of what you are. Now come on, where is your room?" She said pulling me to the door.
I had a lot of comments to give her but I held back my tongue not wanting to offend his aunt. Since she was so excited about me, who knew, maybe she could help me convince him to let my parents go. I showed her to my room and she invited herself in at once.
"Hmm, Hilda must have done a very good job. Her mother would be so fucking proud," she beamed as she stood at the center of my room with her hands on her waist.
I wanted to tell her that it was Axel who had decorated the room for me and Hilda had only shown me it but once again I held back my tongue.
She snapped out of her daze and went to my wardrobe. Her nose scrunched up in disgust as she moved between the dresses Hilda had gotten for me
"Okay, I take my words back. Her taste is as horrible as her mother's. What are these old styles? Do people still fucking wear them?" She cried out as she continued slapping through the dresses.
A small smile crept up my face at her words. I had gotten the same reaction when Hilda showed me the dresses but unlike her, I didn't want to be in Hilda's bad book so I kept my opinion to myself. "We have to go shopping, holy shit!" She mumbled before she finally pulled out a small jumpsuit that Hilda had said I was only allowed to wear indoors.
My brows arched as I wondered what Axel's aunt wanted me to do.
"Alright, put this one, I will be outside waiting."
"But ma'am-" I started but she raised her hand to me.
"It's Emily. I would have said, Aunt... But that makes me feel fucking old when it's not coming from Axel," she said and I nodded. "So what's the matter, you were about to say something..."
"Yes, I -huh, Hilda specifically instructed that I only wear these indoors and never come out with them," I said and I watched as Emily's face drained of their brightness.
"That girl! She will grow fucking old too quickly if she continues like that. Is that why she got you such long dresses like someone who works in a snow pit?" She cried out.
"Baby girl, you are a very beautiful woman and you shouldn't be afraid to show it. Besides, don't you want Axel to confess his feelings faster?"
My cheeks heated up without my consent and I dropped my eyes away from her.
"Ah, that's a good response. So, hurry up and slip it on. When you are done, meet me at Hilda's office. I need to clear up some of her workload..." She said and before I could say anything she left the room.
The room suddenly felt quiet and cold in her absence. My eyes fell on the white jumpsuit on the bed and I took a deep breath.
"And here goes nothing," I whispered as I finally got the courage to put on the dress.
It hugged my curves perfectly, creating an illusion around my upper thighs and stopping right there. A good part of my legs were still exposed. The only part properly covered were my hands because it was a long sleeve shirt-like jumpsuit but even then, a good amount of cleavage was left to flash.
I put down my hair and applied a little gloss, then I went to check myself in the mirror. I looked beautiful no doubt but I also looked like a walking temptation.
My mind immediately went to Axel. How would he react when he saw me dressed like this?
My heart skipped a beat at the thought and my cheeks developed a permanent glow.
Suddenly I was feeling very confident. I grabbed a pair of heels and added it to my outfit. Then I walked out of the room and headed to Hilda's quarters.
Just as I was about to take the corner that would bring me to the corridor that led to her, I heard a whistling sound.
At first, I paid no attention to it as I figured it must have been one of the guards calling their friend. But then the whistling intensified and I realized whoever they were, they were calling me.
I stopped walking and turned to face whoever dared to whistle at me. My eyes met a strange man with spiky hair and a permanent smirk.
"You must be Violet, the woman everyone talks about," he said. From the arrogance in his voice, I knew immediately that he must have been someone important.
"And you are?" I asked, squaring my shoulders and staring him straight in the eyes. My status here might not be a very good one but above everything, I was a princess and I wouldn't let any werewolf, important or not, intimidate me. Before he could respond, the echoing sounds of heels filled the corridor and Emily joined us.
"Ah, I see you have met my mate." She beamed. "Monty please meet Violet."
"I already figured that out..." He said as his eyes moved over my body, "Just like Talon, it seems Axel also has a thing for humans..."
Something about the way he spoke brought a sinister air to the corridor and I decided at once that I didn't like this Monty guy at all.
