The Lycan Series
The Lycan King’s Breeder Chapter 45

Avalyn's

POV

Two weeks had gone by since the night Talon and I had spent together in the garden. He had made it a priority of his to stop by and check up on me and ask about how the baby was doing. A lot of the time, there wasn't a tremendous amount of conversation that took place, but he always made a point to visit. And even though the visits were short, they were always the highlight of my day.

It was sweet, really, except for the times when I remembered that I was going to have to leave my baby behind. I tried my best to focus on the bright side. After all, I would always have a place to look back to, people who warmed my heart to think of. "Come on Avy, it isn't that bad." Emily laughed as I stared at the red goo that Lydia had ordered me to drink.

"Do I really have to drink this?" I replied wide-eyed as I let it drop from the spoon and back into the bowl. I looked up at Dawn and Emily. I was bewildered at the amusement they found in the situation.

"Of course, you have to. Lydia said it's some protein pudding, filled with extra nutrients to help-"

"But so it isn't real food though." I protested in a voice only I could hear. I put the bowl down and picked up the glass of orange juice sitting on the tray. "Am I not allowed to have some real food? Nutella, eggs, or something?"

Emily burst into laughter again, shaking her head. "You'd better listen to her Dawn. Avy is the pregnant one here, and she knows what her body wants."

It had been a few days since I had been locked down in my room, and I was going absolutely crazy. I wasn't confined to my bed anymore, at least, but I struggled with the healthy menu that Lydia had put me on.

"Emily, don't encourage her! You know what Lydia said ab-" Dawn started, giving Emily a stern look before I cut her off.

"Then could you please help me talk to Lydia?" I pleaded. "I don't know why, I just want Nutella." I gave them both my biggest pout, hoping it'd convince them.

Knocking drew my attention away from our conversation to the door. I turned to see Talon standing there with one hand in his pocket. His gaze swept over my figure and I couldn't help the goosebumps that crawled up my hands. Dawn and Emily bowed in greeting.

"Anything the matter?" His smooth voice drawled. He seemed curious about the tension in the room due to the Nutella situation.

"Lydia is making Avy eat some fucking red goo, and now she's pissed because she wants Nutella," Emily smirked as she explained.

"Emily..." I muttered, glaring at her. Oh f**k. The last thing I wanted was to make Talon worried about my diet.

His eyebrows shot up and a surprised look crossed his face, then he quickly pulled out his cell phone from his pocket to make a call, walking away from us as he did.

I looked at Dawn and Emily in confusion. Both girls shrugged their shoulders, having no idea what he was doing.

Talon walked over to me once he was done with his call. "It's been handled. Now, how're you feeling?"

My hands instinctively went down to my stomach and I smiled, looking up at him. "I feel great actually, just occasional nausea."

"You're forgetting your food cravings, Avy," Emily mumbled, causing Dawn to snicker in amusement.

My eyes turned to them both, narrowing in a glare. "I do not have cravings."

"Oh really?" Emily exclaimed with a smirk. "One word... Nutella!"

"And not just Nutella," Dawn interjected. "Don't forget steak and roasted potatoes with extra gravy and bacon pieces. Oh and strawberries, as well as grapes- and of course, the vanilla sponge cake, but not just any vanilla sponge cake... only the one they make at that human cafe near the town park."

"Timmy's cakes and crème," Emily added, not even able to control her laughter anymore.

"But he makes the best vanilla cakes..." I mumbled quietly, feeling my cheeks flush in embarrassment.

This time it was Talon who chuckled softly, all three of us turned to look at him in surprise. Quickly, he cleared his throat and then turned to his sister.

"Emily, go check the kitchen." He ordered.

Emily was beyond puzzled. "Why me?" Then realization seemed to rain on her as she gave her brother a smug smirk.

"Hey, if you don't want us around you can just say it." She chuckled.

Talon shot a glare at her and her laughter immediately quieted down, though she kept snickering.

Dawn jumped up, grabbed Emily's hand, and pulled her towards the door. As she exited the room, I heard her murmur. "Of course, Alpha. We'll go check the kitchen right now."

And with that, the formerly busy room quieted down. I realized Talon's eyes were on me. Since I'd decided to cherish every day I spent at Southern Ridge pack with -with Talon- I gave him a bright smile.

"Thanks for checking up on me," I said.

He moved towards me without saying a word, leaned down, and scooped me up from the stool I'd been sitting on.

"Talon!" I gasped in surprise.

"You've gained some weight, that's good." He commented as he walked towards my bed with me in his arm.

"I-I have?" I was caught off guard.

To make sure I didn't fall, in a panic I looped my arms around his neck, and I could have sworn I saw the corner of his lips lift slightly. He placed me on my bed gently, his hands resting on my b**t. It took me by surprise, scaring me for a moment before I dared took him in the eye.

"T... Talon...?"

I took a moment before nodding in approval. The moment I did, his lips captured mine in a frenzy, and I found myself lost in his kisses. His tongue pressed against my lips, demanding entrance into my mouth so he could taste me once again.

I didn't refuse him, how could I ever refuse him? I had missed this so much. The deeper the kiss got, the more frantic his movement became. His hands were wandering around my body and caressing every inch of my skin. It felt like my whole body was on fire, I never wanted it to quench.

"Talon..." I whispered so he trailed kisses from my chin, down to my neck. "We can't..."

"Why can't we?" He growled softly, placing a nip on my shoulder that sent a shiver of pleasure straight to my core.

"Fuck.... Dawn and Emily could come back any minute from now..." I managed to whisper out. A loud moan left my lips and he pulled away from me, only to flip me over onto my stomach and pull my hip in the air.

"And?" He asked, his voice dripping with so much pleasure.

His fingers made quick work at pulling my leggings down, and before I could protest, he dropped to his knees beside the bed and pressed his face into my core, inhaling my scent.

"I can smell my child growing inside of you, Avalyn." He growled. "Do you know how hot and bothered that makes me?"

His tongue flicked out and captured the sensitive bud of my core, causing me to moan out in pleasure.

"Oh-" I whimpered. "Talon, oh fuck..." It didn't take long before he was tipping me over the edge of reasoning and I was coming undone in his mouth as his tongue licked up every drop I had to spill.

I collapsed on the bed and watched him rise to his knees, I expected him to thrust into me, but instead, he helped me pull up my panties and leggings. He wasn't going further with me. I couldn't help but feel a little disappointed, it'd been so long since he'd had me. Of course, I was pregnant now, and there was no need for us to have sex anymore, but I just couldn't help wanting him to take me. And it seemed he felt the same way too, judging by what we'd just done.

He gritted his teeth in annoyance as he said, "Lydia says that you shouldn't put your body under much stress right now." Somehow, I felt I needed to pray for Lydia.

With my pants back on, he helped me stand and smoothened a section of my hair out before leaning down to capture my lips once more. The taste of my arousal was still on his tongue.

"Will you come back again later?" I asked him, hoping he'd say yes.

However, my question was met with a sigh. "I can't. I have meetings to attend with Greg, and I'm not sure what time I'd be out of them." That meant he wouldn't be back tonight.

"Don't worry about it," I said, hiding my disappointment.

The bedroom door burst open suddenly and I saw Dawn and Emily stepping into the room with a large, covered silver platter. Emily looked at both Talon and me with amusement, a huge smirk on her face. My cheeks could not have burned hotter.

"I'll be leaving now. Make sure you take care of yourself," Talon said, already walking towards the door to head out.

Once he was gone, Emily immediately broke the awkward silence. "You, my dear Avy, look like you got some action," she said, causing me to dry cough in embarrassment.

Dawn looked at us both in confusion, seeming not to understand what Emily was going on about. "What? What're you talking about?" She asked.

"Oh sweet, innocent Dawn." Emily sighed dramatically, avoiding Dawn's question.

"Avalyn, what's she talking about?"

"Uhm... I don't I have no idea." I stuttered, causing Emily to let out a loud laugh, embarrassing me further. I tried to ignore her and changed the subject instead, "something smells great!" I exclaimed. "NUTELLA-COVERED BACON!" Dawn and Emily yelled at the same time in a fit of laughter.

Sure enough, as I walked towards the tray and lifted the lid, I saw a massive mound of freshly cooked bacon, drenched in the chocolate and hazelnut spread. I felt my mouth water at the disgusting-looking but the very satisfying dish that sat untouched on the plate. When Talon said he handled it, he hadn't been joking. He was making sure to get me everything I wanted.
