"What do you think?" he looked worried, watching her every reaction keenly.

"If you don't like it we could go back to the drawing board and replace something you like"

They hadn't even entered through the front door properly yet. The house was magnificent. It was a large one story house painted in grey and white.

The interior floors were beautifully done in mahogany and it had high vaulted ceilings. She walked in further. It had a nice large living space for entertaining guests and the entire house was divided into two. The kitchen was huge with a large island and more than enough counter space and cabinets for storage. There was door leading out to the porch from which she could see their backyard that stretched into the vast forest. Since they were far away by themselves it was quiet and serene with just the nature surrounding them.

Then came the dazzling dining room with it's long table that looked like it could hold up to twenty persons. It was perfect for family dinners and she could see both of them with his brothers eating dinner. She moved on further to the bedrooms. On one side were two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The larger room was the master with a good view to the east. It had a nice side porch for them. The walkways were wider than normal to allow wheelchair access. Then across those rooms were three more just the same size with their own bathrooms.

The house had care and thought put into it and she loved every detail. She came back to see him watching her intently. She launched her self on him wrapping her hands around his neck; kissing him hard.

"I love it! The house is so beautiful Zion. It's perfect." he looked relieved. She started babbling about all the things she loved and the decor she was going to do. She started talking about where she would put what and what it would look like when she was done. Zion watched her talking excitedly, her cheeks slightly pink from all the excitement she was going through. He was glad she liked it.

"Then in the mornings we will have coffee out on the porch"

She stopped to squint at him.

Are you listening to me?"

"Yes"

"What did I say?"

"You said you were going out on a date with me"

She drew in a breath and he raised an eyebrow at her. She couldn't believe he was asking her out on a date.

"Yes or no Anastasia?"

"Yes" she smiled brightly at him. "Good"

He held her by the waist pulling her in and started to kiss on her neck going up. Shivers ran through her body and she started to breathe heavy. He broke away before things got too heavy. She was trying her best not to jump him but it was hard. All he had to do was look at her and she was ready. She'd backtracked and considered separate sleeping rooms until Christmas but Zion wasn't having it.

Her days were now blissful. She'd wake up in the mornings in his arms caged in his warmth and it was her favorite place. Sometimes he'd kiss her awake or she would. But she was undoubtedly happy. She was even glowing. He'd move back into his room with her and they were practically inseparable. She was also learning new things about him. He was great at listening and he had great solutions. He was also very particular about folding all his t-shirts neatly which she teased him heavily about.

He just held her and she looked around in disbelief. This home was theirs.

She ran her fingers over the outline of the gold chain hidden under his shirt. He had a thin chain with a Z pendant around his neck that if he didn't take his shirt off you wouldn't know it was there. Taking it out she ran it through her fingers. It was beautiful and complimented him.

"Do you like it?"

"Yeah it's pretty." she lifted the pendant twirling it around in her fingertips watching as it caught light.

He was about to say something when his hand stopped and she knew he was more than likely talking to his brothers.

"I think Samuel is getting jealous."

His face turned stone cold serious and he looked at her.

"We need to head back"

"What happened?"

He explained along the way that there was a security breach and they hurried to the pack house where his brothers were waiting.

They were all sitting in his office when Samuel played the video. It showed a tall man but his face was hidden as he was wearing a hat and shades. He knew there were cameras because he never once looked up and held his body at an angle so he couldn't be identified. "He's surveying the place" Kiarra said out loud and Daniel nodded.

"The question is what he wants and whatever it is probably isn't any good. There is no way to ID to him."

"The most we can do is double the security on the borders and be prepared for when he comes back. What ever it is we'll replace out." Zion ordered

"I'll man the border for a while as well as extra precaution" Samuel puts in crossing his arms making his huge biceps bulge.

"I'll do it too" Kiarra put in and Zion looked at her surprised.

"No you won't"

"Yes I will"

"I mean it would be a clear advantage to have her there in case of who knows what" Daniel puts in.

"And I said no. We don't know who it is and he wants." His voice was heavier leaving no room for discussion and his brother nodded.

Zion was not going to have his mate upfront and center for whatever was prowling around.

"Zion I'll be fine. I'm not a damsel in distress. If he comes back I would be of major help to probably apprehend him. I promise I'll be fine." Kiarra said.

"And I said no it's not up for discussion"

His response bristled her. She didn't have a choice and what he says goes wasn't sitting well with her. When did she become his child?

"You don't get to tell me what to do or not do."

"Yes I do and I will" he replied coldly and the tension was high.

"Okay guys. I think it would best if you listen to Zion Anastasia" Samuel tried to break in.

"Can I have a moment with my mate?" she said out loud, her irritation evident.

They both gave them space leaving. Zion sat there looking at her like everything was normal and it irritated her even more. She was there watching him, quiet and trying to choose her words carefully. He surprisingly broke the silence. "What if something happens to you?"

His words made her anger dissipate. He was coming from a good place.

"We don't know what it is and you want to just go out there as an open invitation"

Kiarra walked and sat on the desk before him, her demeanor still cold. He reached out to hold her and she shook her head.

"If we're going to do this Zion you're going to have to listen to me just as much as I listen to you. I'm not some rag doll or child that you order around to your whim and fancy and you're going to have to trust me. I can keep myself safe and we can compromise." He was just staring at her and he didn't seem to be budging.

"I will mind link you every hour I'm out there"

"That's the compromise?"

She smiled at him and he finally got to pull her in running his hand over her soft curves.

"Okay you can go"
