The Princess’s Broken Alpha -
Chapter 42
He had been patrolling the place endlessly for weeks now and had a good overall coverage of the Cartier pack. They had a pretty good surveillance system and patrol. There were no weak areas. He had to try and break through in one of their patrol spots but he had that covered. Of course he had to wait because since recently they had increased their patrol well doubled it and he figured they had seen him on the cameras.
He made sure not to be identified and he was careful enough not to leave any trail. He received the go ahead to take her out and the patrol system worked perfectly into his plans. Because here she was on the front lines patrolling right into his hands. All he needed to do was get a hit and she'd be out cold which is sad because he really liked her. He had asked if there wasn't any other way to get rid of her without her being killed but they wanted her blood.
He laced up his boots and placed on his gloves. He had it all planned. He would replace a way in before the shift change and then he would strike from the inside. He'd have to be careful of the big one she was always with. He was always hovering around like a brother and it was starting to annoy him. But overall his main focus was not him. Time was ticking.
He made sure to place his packed bag on the chair and checked his weapons. One bullet to the heart to kill the princess before Christmas.
He had paid his remaining balance at the front desk and everything was all set. Kill the princess, return back to England to continue his duties before anyone notices and watch the chaos unfold. It sounded simpler than it actually was.
He stepped out onto the side walk and headed in the direction of the side roads. The Cartier territory was a good walk from here but once he was out of sight and dived into the trees away from possible human eyes he could start sprinting.
It was early morning and the wind was freezing. It was still dark and she and her body guard should arrive soon for a few hours; he checked his watch. They rotated between early mornings and late afternoons. She should be out in the early morning today. He could feel the surge in his veins.
They had nice lands. Based on how this place looked, the Cartier Alpha was a really good alpha despite the wheelchair. Too bad that in the next few hours he was about to be a ruined man. He reached the edge and slowly moved through the trees so as not to make any sound. As he thought there were two guards before him. If he killed them it would ring an alarm.
So he had to replace a way past them while leaving them alive and he had to get past them in the morning now. The best was to make a small commotion somewhere and then jump the fence. He would make a run for it and hide until she arrived. If she didn't arrive for her shift change then he would replace her within the pack and end her. His mission was to kill her today one way or another and that's why he had to be on the inside in case which ever way it turned.
Even if the sensor picked him and they were made aware he would be in and that was the critical part. She would have already been on her way to the post and he would have his grand opportunity.
His distraction worked perfectly when the bag he planted yesterday went off with the click of his button. The two werewolves swiftly went to see what had happened. He took the opportunity to leap over the electric fence and dive into the forest. Stop reading the wrong and incomplete storyline, jo bnib.com has the correct and complete book. One of them turned around and started to approach the tree he was hidden behind but he made sure not to make any sound and he soon went back to his post. Step one was out of the way it was now time for step two. The forest was dark and cool, the sun's light not hitting it yet. The only sounds echoing through it being birds and other animals waking up to start their day.
He spotted them both coming up the hill and loaded his silver bullets for her. His fingers sliding expertly around the cold metal. He couldn't miss, it had to be precise. Straight to the heart. Plus if he did he had a back up plan. He made sure to stay uphill high rise near to the archers in case he needed an escape. Her long hair was down and she was dressed in a black t-shirt and leggings. Even from here he could smell him on her.
They were walking and talking. She was mostly doing the talking and the big guy would say something every now and then. He also noticed she wasn't marked yet, her neck was still perfect and clean.
He really hated having to say goodbye this way. He aimed the gun her way. One clean shot. Goodbye Princess. Before he could pull the trigger her head snapped up and she saw him.
"Get down!" she screamed and both her and Samuel landed flat in the dirt. Shit! He fired over them as a warning shot anyway so he could get time to run. Kiarra saw him run into the forest upwards and was ready to take off after him but Samuel roughly grabbed her. The mystery guy was inside! He came back and he was firing after her?! He was here to kill her.
"Wait here!" Samuel growled and she hurriedly stopped him pushing him back.
"No he's a lycan! You wouldn't catch him! Stay here!" she escaped his grasp and sprinted after her mystery killer.
"Anastasia!" he called after her.
Kiarra powered up the hill trying to replace out where he had gone. That's when she saw it. The silver flew past her almost grazing her and she ducked just in time feeling the light breeze. He was firing the silver spears at her! Her eyes travelled to the tower to make out the tall outline.
He was thrown off when he expected her to turn around and run for cover but instead she was powering through the arrow shots towards him. If she continued she would reach his station and he didn't know what to do. Another arrow whizzed past her head and he loaded fast releasing another one at her feet and she dodged it. Fuck! This was not going as planned.
He jumped off the ledge and ran but he underestimated her. Pain radiated through his thigh and when he looked down one of the silver arrows he had fired at her was lodged into his thigh. She had saved one of the damn arrows he fired at her for him. His weight collapsed to the ground as the silver burned his thigh aggressively and Kiarra took the opportunity to jump him with her claws out.
She could feel Zion trying to get to her but she blocked him out.
He used her momentum to slam her to the ground from below and pain radiated up her back. She clawed at him tearing through his clothes and blood flew as his torn flesh was now exposed. Through the mask she could see his eyes. These eyes. She knew these pair of eyes staring at her. He took the opportunity to get launch himself up and pull out the arrow. There was something familiar about him and she released her aura trying to cripple him from running away.
As he started to fold before her, kneeling in pain she reached out and took off his mask and for a few seconds she froze. She couldn't believe it.
He had to admit his princess was still fierce.
Judah!
"Princess you never fail to surprise me" he grunted out.
Why was her lycan guard trying to kill her? Kiarra had dropped her aura and he took advantage of it by lunging at her with all his strength causing her to roughly slam her head against the ground to escape. He was furious with himself. His identity now being known was a major problem. Where would he go now? He had to get out of this town. Judah feared calling and letting it be know that not only had his mission failed but his identity was now known.
He made the call before he reached back standing next to the payphone looking around him paranoid. He didn't think she'd follow him but he still had to make sure. He didn't know what they'd want him to do now that he was unsuccessful.
"I tried but she managed to escape. What should I do now?!" he shouted into the phone, pacing anxiously.
"You assured me that you wouldn't fail." said the cold nonchalant tone on the other end.
"Yes but we have a change of plans. Also she knows it's me. I have to leave town but then I can try again?"
"No that won't be necessary. You already failed once. I don't think we need to see you fail twice. Failure is termination. Goodbye."
"Wait! How am I supposed to live? I'll be hunted. You promised to cover me in case of anything. This is anything! Is there no way you can cover for me? I can try again. I promise I will be successful I just need another shot."
"If you were successful in such a simple thing then it was guaranteed but now I'll make sure I do it myself. It was mistake relying on amateurs."
The phone hung up. Son of a bitch. What was he going to do now?!
Judah cursed again and headed to his hotel. He pushed open the door hopping on the burning leg in frustration and he knew he was done for when he saw the redhead sitting in the chair in his room. "Looks like my cousin fucked you up but I promise I'll be nicer. Close the door Judah."
